Su An has been struggling in the last days for more than a decade, and a death as a hero after taking down the Zombie Emperor is quite good, thus Su An intends to close his eyes and rest in peace.

Rest in peace, my ass!

Opening his eyes again, Su An found himself back before the apocalypse, and turned into a weak, cry baby pretty boy, the type with no skills or whatsoever other than the face.

Su An just wants to smile!

Its good to be a pretty boy. Its wonderful to be a pretty boy. Pretty boys can frankly be a salted fish who can only eat and drink!

And then, Su An discovered that the world he found himself in is not strictly pre-apocalyptic, but it was also going through the last days.

Su An looked at the game in front of him that needs mandatory participation of the whole population. With a face full of awe, he entered… and learned that the game has zombies.

... more>> Then came out plot where MC is being forced to be a role Demon King, then some AI worship MC, MC being the side of AI instead of human, then came out there are game makers who basically the rulers of the game where even if they change the rules, human need to follow

Im like Whaaattt? So messy, it just not interesthing for me that MC kept being swept up with the pace, like the plot forces the MC to become this and that, then happen this and that

It's... ok. (3.5 out of 5? The ending, and the lead up to the end, brought it down a bit.)

The MC is to my tastes. Died a hero in his last life and only desired to live the life of a male pet (kept man) in his new one. (To be free of responsibility, presumably) The MC's new body is a bit weak though, and cannot handle the level of his soul (and of the zombie emperor's energy), but he's still powerful in the game. He keeps his identity... more>> in-game separate from his real life identity...I believe so it doesn't compromise his ability to be lazy.

The ML seems normal. He's the leader of a team and commands a great deal of respect. Slightly cold, but not enough so to be a trope. I also think he's quite kind, although you only really see this displayed in his interactions with MC.

In this new life, resources cannot be gained naturally, but through a game-like system/space that requires the completion of tasks; one gains loot during the tasks i.e. resources. There's consequences for death but it's basically irrelevant as the the MC, and everyone around him, never dies.
I quite liked it until it was nearing the end... the author seemed like they didn't really know how to end it.
Some really obvious foreshadowing leading up to it... was all a bit cliche and a tad melodramatic.

Oh, the zombie aspect is also kinda irrelevant overall, if that matters.

If you can accept a mediocre ending (in my opinion) then it's still a nice read! It's pretty short with 96 chapters overall. (Oh, there's no sexy scenes either, you just know it happens.) <<less

I'm a sucker for hidden identity stories so I enjoyed the first part of the story, as well as watching the MC play salted-fish-sickly-male-pet for the masses while awing the game world with his massive 'spirit power.' by c50 or so I was more than ready for him at least be honest with the ml, even if he kept hiding from everyone else. in fact, the longer the story went on without him telling the truth, the less patience I had. by the time I hit c76 I was feeling an active dislike for the MC (and pity for the ml) and completely lost my motivation to finish, so I skipped to the last ten chapters and am calling it done.

I don't know how to say it, it's just bland, this novel. The premise of the story is kind of interesting, but it just bore me halfway through, I guess maybe I dislike the pacing of the story? It's just increasingly hard to continue reading and somehow just left a bad aftertaste.

ML and MC was cute I think. And many things hasn't been explored about the world of the game 'resources' and how it overlaps with MC's original world. So I feel like I didn't do justice to this novel.... more>> There's a lot to MC's past and I'm sure it would have been exciting but I just can't muster the will to continue reading.

It's sadly a meh for me. <<less

Weird, but short enough to give a shot. I don't think I'll ever like works where people keep life altering secrets from their other half. Real relationships need trust, and who would want to spend life with someone but not have the guts to be completely honest with them.

The idea was verx good and fresh. It was really enjoyable until around half of the story then it went down like WTF how did this happen?! And in the end you just cursed loud how did they made such and ending fir a good story. All in all its not a long novel so you cant loose anything by going to the end.

Interesting plot, not really in-depth but a great light read if you’re bored or have had enough of heavier novels. I’d say that the world building is pretty okay, 8/10. Romance isn’t really showing much in the story so I’d give that a 7/10. The characters are pretty in-depth but I see that the author is trying to take a slow reveal kind of route in this so 8/10. Much better than most really low quality chinese novels, plus the translation is pretty solid. The editing could do some work... more>> as some meanings are lost but I understand that 华语 is hard to translate, especially the idioms. Translation is 9/10, editing included in that rating. <<less

How do I say it... I came after reading a dark fantasy and was tired from those endless fights so I would have skipped the heavy game arcs of the story but the author did it for me 😃 especially in the middle and end those fights where more like summery than the actual thing. It made the story a bit shallow but I enjoyed it.

The bad thing is the relationship between the couple got skipped a bit too

it seems alright so far, MC's character is interesting. However, I'm not too optimistic about the future based on the things other people have mentioned in spoilers... also there's a lot of loopholes. ALL resources can only come from the game? and yet we still get people in others jobs, hosting parties with no purpose and a world that still seems very normal from the outside? ridiculous

I mean, I liked it for most of it, but after the spatial vortex event (ch. 76~) it got super weirdly racist out of nowhere. It was just so abrupt and I was so unprepared that I felt really uncomfortable. I tried to keep reading but every time I started to get settled back in, it would just bring the focus back to this weirdly intense racist through-line so I had to drop it.

Everything preceding that point was pretty fun though, so. Go for it.

MC had a traumatic past: Because of wanting to be a savior and knowing that this can't be done by him alone, he personally contributes his genes and such as research (because of his unique ability), but since it didn't produce any results, the researchers decided to make him a lab rat... Later on, they let him out to fight against the overpowered zombies (since no one else could do so), while brainwashing him.... at this point he's completely given up on himself, but still holds on the belief of wanting to make the world a better place even without him (aka. eradication of zombies)

MC and ML's interaction are mostly in-game. ML's treatment to MC in reality, to be honest is almost trivial, since ML's life in reality is filled with meetings in his camp... although ML does take time to cook food and cater to MC at times as well...

This novel also addresses what happened to the Orighost of MC's body... Things were wrapped well at the end, and I was perfectly satisfied with the ending as well... <<less

I only managed to read until 88 chapters (from 97 chapters) before dropping this.

Is it bad?

at the beginning, it wasn't that bad, and not that good but, towards the end, it became ridiculous.

so, MC has become the world saviour in his past life, then transmigrated to a new life, this world has mild apocalypse (?) where they play games, winner gets treasure box, loser got punishment. it was fun at the beginning, but do bear in mind, not to read with the mentality of wanting to read unlimited flow novel,... more>> becoz this one has no plot to it, MC too powerful, games kinda s*upid, villain has almost no IQ or EQ, mobs being mobs.

i dont even know when ML fall in love with MC, it just happen, and so does MC,

This... was okay? It’s not what I thought at all lol ok~ The premise of the story is that the MC (Su An), died and was given a second chance at life. This second chance was granted in a different world altogether. There, his identity is of a pretty boi who was also called Su An. His intention was initially to just lay back and eat and drink as he wished, after all, his current body was too weak for his soul and the outside world was completely vanilla at... more>> first glance. All his plans go awry after being persuaded to become the male pet of the ML, who was a well known figure of a game called (Resources). Su An doesn’t think much of it, content with having become a male pet, until he’s dragged into the game himself and forced to take on another identity (super strong An Su who can clear Zombie towns with no issue at all).

The premise is interesting, but the fast pacing and the OP!MC and ML kinda kills the tension from the game instances (the instances, by the way, are not just based on regular zombie apocalypses. It’s more of a survival game with lots of supernatural elements, but a continuing zombie theme.) I found the character drama fun, but it’s nothing too complex or exciting. So, when paired with the low-tension instances where the result is expected at first glance, I got kind of bored LOLOL.

Its not bad though? The MTL is also surprisingly easy to read — 90% readable if raws are plugged into Google Translate. If you want to give it a try, there’s nothing wrong with it~ I myself may check it out another day. Though for now, I’ll leave the rest unread. As for my rating, I won’t give it an official one, but rn it’s somewhere between 2-3 stars. Like anywhere from 2.75 to 3.5 stars. <<less
