The novel has no flow, obviously things are arranged meticulously step by step.... characters were hypocritical and in another meaning shattered... you don't feel it, you may get along with it, at some points even enjoy it but it's not giving the feels...

For people like me who want to taste all the wife chasing danmeis out there, it's a short and enjoyable read... in terms of romance, I didn't see any (although I was excited with the fantasy of MC and ML's friend having an affair and falling in love 😖) , the MC just got a bloody fairy-like unrealistic revenge (though he never intended to😂) ??

We enter the novel with a seemingly one-sided, seven years old relationship between the two and ended it with again another one sided love in the end... and that f*cking time skip 🤦‍♀️

Translation is amazing. The story not so much. ML is definitely not a tsundere, he's more oblivious and unaware of how his actions and words can be perceived by others. There was no excuse given on how ML allowed his parents and friends to scrutinise and humiliate the MC. Of course MC is a bit unreliable as a narrator, and we have some good angsty content but I'm not feeling reconciled with the ending. Seemed a bit abrupt. Author decides to give us a timeskip to try and alleviate how... more>> sudden it is.

Personally I wish MC ended up with someone else. If only it was his wholesome neighbour. They had more chemistry than MC and ML ever did. <<less

he steps aside. It was really great to see the MC reach his bottom line and "nope" out of the relationship and be so resolved to his decision. It's nice to see that a lot of the characters aren't what you'd originally think they'd be. The one downside is that the MC has a lot of internal monologues happening. He'll be in a coversation with someone and start an internal monologue and by the time it's finished I'll forget what the other character said/asked and have to go back up to find it. It's to the point where the other characters will commment on him spacing out during a conversation. <<less

I am not condoning ML’s behavior, but I also feel like he wasn’t as much of a problem as compared to his family and friends, and especially the white moonlight who was a conniving b*tch. SYY purposely schemed and after seeing ML’s cold attitude towards him, he turned around and tattled to the ML’s parents. ML was an as*hole in the sense that he never communicate his true feelings in the beginning and never cleared things up to MC, but I feel like some of ML’s friends would go behind... more>> his back to confront MC. Idk how I feel about CX, the second male lead, this dude was following MC and constantly promoting SYY, just really low handed and I felt like it was for ulterior motives. While we sympathize with MC’s POV, you can kind of get the feeling that in his interactions with ML in the past, ML was the type to get flustered and say things that he didn’t mean, and was just clumsy with his actions. <<less

The story was good, especially on the first part. It gives off so much emotions, but I become disappointed on the last part. I think that the ending is written in rush.
