A century after the Spirit Qi Awakening, the world enters a new era. Humans are able to absorb the world’s awakened spirit qi, allowing them to tread on a new path—spirit qi occupations!

Simultaneously, the plants and animals on the planet are also evolving toward their ancestry line or developing spiritual mutations.

Lin Yuan realizes that he can assist feys in evolving limitlessly and constantly purify their bloodlines. He starts off with a small fey evolution store on the Star Web and rises up from there.

Lin Yuan: “There is no problem that I cannot solve to deliver the goods. If there is a problem, it is because the goods are better than expectations!”

This is a story purely about pets!

Its gonna get dropped soon.

100chapters into the novel.....I thought it was excellent novel.... 2.3k chapters into the novel... author just forgot the story (I guess)... "IT'S ALL ABOUT PETS".

Spoiler

MC doesn't even give a sh*t about his PETS. After f*cking 2.4k chapters they are still fantasy breeds.

{ Fantasy (5) < Myth (3) < Creation (8) < Immortal (8) < Eternity (12) < awakened destiny < lit the divine fire < unknown (strongest in this world) }.

But you know what he has like 40 (more than 50) s*aves who are divine fire realm and above. That defeats the whole purpose of him wanting to be independent

[collapse]

Where ever he goes lady luck shines on him... its like he is the only one in the world.

And talking creating faction... I still (2400chapters) dont understand the functions of it and WHY

Many think that he has a system or cheat... but its not because every alchemist (creation master) can see through the skills of pets.. So the interesting points in this novel are cultivation system, his unique feys and his relationship with them.

I am very disappointed how author directed it...

Spoiler

If MC had become a peak eternity in 1600 chapters and started his adventure into dimensional worlds, by the end of that arc (1800) he would get all endless gems, dimensional books and he would be at peak of cultivation in that world that would have been perfect.

[collapse]

i couldnt give it a 1star.... That basically my review... I won't recommend it <<less

MC is a reincarnated person and has a cheat system in the form of fey, MC is dumb and doesn't know any professions or skills but his pet cat is library which can analyze data and extapolate it so MC doesn't have to bother with the nerd stuff.
Heals and evolving feys with his cheat and qi so he doesn't need to bother with any potions, medicines and qi paths.

He Passes himself as a creation master without anyone asking him for his techniques and because he gets a powerful master so no one can bully MC or ask questions. His secrets are safe and ineptitude is not known to world cause his master doesn't want to pressure on him on his performance even though the reason she took a disciple is to find a genius who she can guide and show off but this thrown into corner to accommodate MC's plot armor.

MC is a happy go lucky kid who get lucky everytime and is shielded by plot armor on all sides, it's wish fulfillment fantasy while trying to be different from other monster pet novels.

i'll be here to tell you that this novel is ABSOLUTELY slow paced but- although I don't usually read novels as slow paced as this, I quite like this novel since the slow parts are still about the protagonist getting stronger and socializing with other characters. I, myself, as a person with low standards for novels (well i'll only read genres I like though) think that this novel is great. Personally, I can't find loop holes and mistakes but it's probably fine.

Spoiler

as of chapter 2045 (half was translated and half was mtl-ed), the protagonist doesn't have particularly powerful pets compared to the other old people. Sure, he has red thorns capable of controlling 5 star creators and higher ranked people as long as they die and his other pets/apostles are ridiculously strong against his peers. But if you think about the fact that there is a literal snake controlling the heavenly tribulation of an elf, and can look at creatures from other worlds, he's basically like a cat in front of it. Anyways as I was saying, also his growth pace might be fast, but it doesn't feel like it AND compared to those higher beings (god knows where they are this novel is ongoing) he's still a baby so I reckon it'll take another thousand chapter for that to come or so.

[collapse]

Spoiler

edit: I can't help but complain when I see the bad reviews of this novel. I'm gonna refute them all cs I'm finding justice for this protagonist but I won't blame y'all since everyone has different preferences. Anyways, when y'all say that the protagonist is too much of a good guy, what's wrong with that though I mean some people were just born a good guy- right? And what's wrong with wanting to win the competition without the fame? He probably wants to win the competition as a confirmation of his strength and doesn't want the fame since it's troublesome and he likes being low-key. Isn't it enough that he's trying to hide his identity under an alias to be able to live normally enough? (Not that it really matters though since he does expose himself eventually hehehe) also, what's wrong with not wanting the gifts from his master? Sure, i'll agree that it's pretty s*upid for not accepting gifts that can help with his strength while he was still weaker. But now that he's all self-sufficient it's pretty okay now and he's accepting AND giving gifts to his master now. However, not wanting his clan's resources to be provided by his master is totally justifiable, his clan is supposed to be his own, not his master's. And some of y'all might be saying stuff about the servant/protector pledges using will power runes. I think there's nothing wrong with that? In that world, the human system was for the strong to rule the weak, naturally s*aves, servants and the like would be rather normal. The pledge just makes their loyalty more credible and trustable. Besides, feys are basically almost EVERYTHING to a person in that world. There's nothing wrong with being loyal to someone that basically saved you from the gates of hell. Okay that's enough rant.

Started off very slow. Not much action and only on how MC improves. But later the novel is pretty fast paced with battles and power building and conspiracies.

If you like summoning or taking novels you would love this.

Good novely

My only problem is that it has a lot of fillers nd I mean a lot.......

So then, there r some reviews here which I really don't think should be here

Someone said it's very cringey nd that the MC doesn't have any quality of being a leader, that leader holo which attracts others towards him, well ya the author said bout makin n organization like a akatsuki so where is the cringey part in this? He wants to make a mysterious organization so wats the problem here? Atleast it's better... more>> than many MCs who want to become stronger just because they want to become stronger (ya I kno this doesn't make sense) nd atleast the MC knos wat he wants nd not like others where they just join a clan nd make it most powerful, now to the pledge part - u want a guy who didn't had any hope to get his pet healed for life, whose pet would even die after some time to just say to a man who saved his pet, His life long partner - u r making n organization? K I will join u. Done. Is this wat u want to see? Doesn't seems like u have seen a real life drama cause some those r the real cringey stuff not this fiction novel where there r some things called "knights",

Nd ya maybe it seems cringey to us but we aren't takin bout our world r we? So the logic of here doesn't apply there

K then next

Someone said that author doesn't remember anything as many things doesn't go according to MCs plan, well I m bored with novels where it seemed like everything seems to just go along with watever MC wants

Confusion bout that song bird being able to speak - it can't speak it can sing, these things r different, like parrot, they can repeat watever u say but it's not called "speaking"

Someone said that MC is too much of a "good guy" well ya it's not his fault actually, although he was n orphan no one treated him badly he ya he had his difficulties but not like many Chinese novels where weak r bullied just because they r weak. Actually it's the whole country's fault that hes such a good guy at the starting of the series. U see the country he reincarnated in can be defined by a sense that everyone is very patriotic, even the second generation children aren't arrogant (well except for 1 family), this would not be the case in the future wen he interacts with other federations <<less

This started promising but, well....

Pros:

MC's character: Unlike most Chinese novels where the MCs are mu*der hobos, selfish pricks, arrogant narcissists or a weird combination of the 3 that somehow make them.... popular with certain readers I guess? Who knows. This is MC is nothing of the sort, rather low key, kindly (to those close to him, generally so to subordinates and people who are willing to work with/for him or submit to him), has a sense of justice (though not to the point of being a saint), generous and reasonable.... more>> Most things that other MCs are not. I do find this refreshing from the garbage MCs out there.

Relationships with those close to MCs: Generally a feel good type of thing where those around him or close to him genuinely admire, love and care for him as he does them. From his master and her subordinates to his sister to his close acquaintances and subordinates and of course, his feys. The MC has more or less wholesome relationships with them.

Avoids bad and cringey tropes: AYMs (Arrogant young masters/mistresses) are not much of a thing here. Except for one person of some significance near the beginning, and a sprinkling of other insignificant and unimportant figures elsewhere, there are hardly any of these creeps present. No auctions or tournaments (except 1 which well... wasn't really well handled), not really a xianxia novel so yeah.

A pity that the cons still far outweigh the pros though:

Cons:

Verbosity: I can only see this as deliberate padding. Fey information alone can easily take up 70% or more of a chapter, not to mention that the story then goes into meticulous detail about each change/skill there is and he MC's thought processes on them. Most of this information is absolutely unnecessary and likely irrelevant. Even if the skills are put to use eventually by then everyone would have forgotten what they are about. This leads to chapters with nothing but the above mentioned, sometimes even 2 or more chapters. It's one reason why the pacing (mentioned below) is rather slow. While slow pacing is not inherently a bad thing and can even be good when done well, chapter padding is clearly a BAD reason for slow pacing.

Pacing: Slow as mentioned above, and that's just one of the reasons why this is a con. Apart from chapter padding, there's also a lot of branching subplots, some of which are only concluded much MUCH later on (by then most would have nearly forgotten about them), not to mention how the story dips its toe into too many different areas as we go along. As a consequence some things that the author clearly doesn't consider too important (like the MC's main cultivation level of all things) can get virtually no attention or mention for over a thousand chapters. As of the latest chapter 2554, only a year plus, about a year and a half has passed. That should indicate how slow the story is chronologically speaking

Spoiler

Some examples include the Radiance Hundred Sequence "test" that was stated close to the beginning of the story. The actual event only took place more than a thousand chapters later, and by then the MC was way WAY overleveled for it, to the point where it only served as a foil to show of the MC's "charisma and leadership qualities"along with those of some of his close acquaintances as well as a simply a side event to him and a few others squaring off with other similar aged trainers from the rival/enemy Freedom Federation. The author clearly tried to squeeze in the event after forgetting about it for the better part of the novel and it shows.

Lin Yuan's Sky Island whale took forever to hatch, like, 1000 plus chapters, the city that it would carry on its back is now being constructed and that will probably take another 2000 or so chapters to see completed in my estimation.

[collapse]

Too many branching subplots: Already mentioned above as a reason for the slow pacing, as we all know, if there are too many events/characters/lines of development, the focus on each of them will be impaired and this is exactly what happens. It's especially the case with the characters that are involved or introduced in such subplots where they don't get fleshed out much and get very little screentime and then get shunted aside for hundreds of chapters as the plot moves on to the next branching line. This results in disparate development for characters/feys that only have relevance for a short period of several tens of chapters before disappearing. To his credit the author does revisit quite a few of these characters and does keep certain overarching plot lines going (like the MC's mental space "congregation") but the characters never become memorable and those especially neglected fade from memory until it becomes hard to even remember who they are when they suddenly get referenced again.

OP-Plz-Nerf cheat: This is the main reason for one of the worst aspects of this novel, the power creep that I'll mention below. Together with the verbosity con, these 2 cons make it impossible for the novel to ever be considered above the average level, it's simply exemplary bad writing.

Spoiler

Morbius and his special spirit space along with its features are the main offenders here:

-Exceptionally pure spirit qi. This qi is so pure that not even his master the Moon Empress who is a class 6 creation master, the highest level of creation master in his world, can create spirit qi with that level of purity. It's so pure that even the dictators of the adjacent dimensions and lately a lifeform from the higher world have never experienced such pure qi. And this is available to Lin Yuan FROM THE START. Let that sink in. This spirit qi is THE main reason why the MC is able to grow so quickly in power in the span of just over a year.

-Add ons to the above pure spirit qi like the Sacred land that can produce spirit qi crystals by absorbing some of the power of the tribulations of Myth II and above feys and you have even more concentrated pure spirit qi than before, lovely.

-Spirit locked feys. Not sure exactly how such feys function to be honest but the most recent spirit locked fey is at Immortal level now despite the fact that the others are only at Diamond at the time. How does that work again?

-Klein Hub. Introduced later, this feature allows Lin Yuan to enter other adjacent dimensions and is the thing that led to the utterly INSANE power creep that follows. Normally entrances to such worlds can only be accessed by the rifts found in the main world. This allowed Lin Yuan to bypass those rifts and enter a world that the enemy Freedom Federation already has a foothold in. This not only allowed him to get more resources to be more OP, but also allowed him to virtually oust them from the place. To date the Freedom Federation is not even aware that he's the cause of their plight let alone how he did them dirty.

[collapse]

When you have slow pacing but extremely fast op-plz-nerf levels of growth, that's a sign that things are going to be imbalanced and not too pleasent on the development front, which brings us to:

Utterly insane power creep and complete redundancy of the MC's main cultivation system and initial contracted feys: Yeah, this is the one really gets me as someone who likes reasonable, sequential and detailed development of abilities/powers and skill systems. There are terms that gamers use to describe certain development strategies for certain game genres. Going tall refers to focusing on only a few areas/locations and specializing in developing them reaching extremely high levels of development, or going wide where many different areas receive attention regarding in a wider diversity of areas developed, but with more shallow development in each.

In novel terms, a sword cultivator for example focuses mainly on cultivating the sword, plus his or her main (usually qi or soul) cultivation. There are often auxiliary or co-dependent paths taken like body refining, unarmed techniques in case they can't use their weapon, and perhaps some degree of proficiency in one of the facilitating arts like pill refining. This can still be considered a relatively "tall" focused development as only a few fields are focused on.

If a cultivator cultivates several different weapons and unarmed techniques, has 2 or more cultivation systems and dips into multiple auxiliary arts like pill refining, weapon refining, arrays, puppetry, poisons, talismans, all at the same time, that's a "wide"build where the focus in each is generally (unless there's an op-plz-nerf cheat involved) going to be shallow.

By this metric, a tamer in the MC's world that is able to harness power belonging to others consistently from areas outside of their main central contracted batch of pets and maybe even power way beyond their cultivation level will be considered pretty wide. And I like to call such characters "fat" instead as it is more fitting a description than simply "wide"

And on this, the MC is the fattest fat kid I've ever seen in just about any novel, he THICC.

To get some idea of how fat and just how broken he is now in terms of power available to him let's take a look at the cultivation/fey power levels:

Spoiler

Tamer levels: D, C, B, A, S, Above S (thearch?) Eternal (I think). Within the Eternal level (or are they above it, not sure) there are those who awaken their Birth Horoscope and those who light their Spirit Fires, and a theoretical unnamed realm above that.

Fey/Source Lifeform levels: Normal, Elite, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Suzerain/Myth (have never seen a non-myth Suzerain), Creation, Immortal (Source Equivalent, Apostle), Eternal (Source Equivalent, Dictator), Birth Horoscope (Source Equivalent, Turning Wheel Dictator), Spirit Fire (Source Equivalent, Samsara Dictator), Afterlife Dictator (no non-Source level designated for this realm yet)

Source life forms are life forms from the alternate dimensions, they are like feys but at the same time not.

Max level of feys able to contract at C class is Silver, Gold if one "rolls grades" (lol redundant now!), B can contract up to platinum, diamond with rolling grades. A class can contract up to myth with rolling grades and S should eb able to contract up to Immortal I think.

[collapse]

The insane power creep plus THICCness:

Spoiler

Just considering the Sacred Source Lifeforms and the feys Lin Yuan contracts after his first 5-7 initial contract feys is already enough to make it difficult to have each of them recieve enough focus. But things get way more wild than that. Due to his charisma, connections and cheat, Lin Yuan gains the support of feys and other experts he does not directly contract or bind as subordinates and these are people who have fighting power WAY above his current cultivation level but who regularly (at least for a period of time) help him against experts of a similar level that normally someone of his cultivation would not even be able to resist.

For example at C class he already has "helpers' at the myth and creation levels that follow his commands and deal with similarly leveled enemies. By the time he reached B class, he's already having helpers that are at the Eternal level and because he was in that level for a LONG time, over 1500 chapters, he was able to get followers at the Spirit Fire level and handle equivalent creatures. As of the latest chapters, he has just reached A class, has recently gotten 2 Afterlife Dictator servants (one is a corpse controlled by one of his initial source lifeforms Red Thorn who is still at... Diamond...), many MANY Samsara Dictators from 5 different dimensions and many more Turning Wheel and below ream dictators thanks to his cheat which allows him to gain control of all the lifeforms in a particular world!

For comparison, the highest known level in his main world is the Spirit Fire level, and Tower Canon's first page is likely at peak Afterlife. Lin Yuan can actually directly deal with them at a measly A class and of his initial feys, he has just started evolving some of them to Myth level. They have no way to contribute to his current battle power, and to show just how redundant his cultivation realm is now, one of his spirit locked feys is at Immortal while he's still at A class which should be impossible, but not only that, that fey can use some power from a world ABOVE the one they are in right now! Power creep for the WIN!

[collapse]

It could have been really good and for a while at the start it was. Alas, the author divided focus on too many things, chapter padded at an astonishing level and had terrible pacing (slow pacing with explosive rise in battle power? Yeah) while making the main cultivation base and initial set of contracted pets (plus even the supposed rules that determined the relationship of pet power level to tamer power level) completely and utterly redundant through power creep plus MC cheats and acquisition of battle power at levels that he has absolutely no business to have. <<less

First, this has one of those translations where you can never rely on what it says because it constantly reverses the original meaning in the translation. For example, if the translation writes someone "will say" something, what it means is they "won't say." And if it writes that someone "won't do" something, it actually probably means they "will do" it.

It's incredibly slow, boring, repetitive, and naive. I'm only 78 chapters in and have been holding onto patience that it will get better as the world is established and the author... more>> gains experience, but it's hard.

It's just so tedious to read in so many ways. The prose itself is awkward and lacks any interest. The narration repeats the information about fey evolution again and again. It dumps that information and immediately tells you that information is not important because instead the character is going to do something else. It explains simple things in a painful amount of detail and seems to expect you to be impressed. The character knows everything and nothing at the same time for obvious plot reasons—like he knows so much about bronze evolution, but didn't know his parents were Spirit Guards even though he had their badges and knew what Spirit Guards were. <<less

Reading this novel is fulfilling in the way that I LOVE but also devastating knowing this novel kinda sucks.

If I had to find a metaphor for what is happening without spoiling the novel :

It’s like logging on to the game but suddenly you know every hidden pieces and cheat thats there, but instead of using it to level your own, you finish the main story by getting helped from online friends who are a thousand times stronger than you at the game, and they all pledge their life to you... more>> just cause you gave then a piece of treasure.

once you finish the main story, you realize you havent leveled up AT ALL and the only thing that grew is your facade. So you clear the sidequests struggling more than before but instead of using it to upgrade yourself, you still rely on your team mates.

After a long while, you already have the capabilities of a god but suddenly you have to join the students competition because of nationality and that was the one who broke the camels back.

the only reason I like this novel is the pets and the PETS alone and the lifeless MC truly gives them their times to shine so if u wanna enjoy the novel then just look at the pets and nothing else. <<less

3.7 stars if I could.

At about chapter 300-400 chapter content becomes super redundant so although you’d be missing out I’d recommend skipping 200 or so chapters, the redundancy start to ease up after that.

Against the dimensional creatures I can feel the classic blood boiling slaughter but human fights feel weak in comparison. Only Moon Empress makes me feel like she’s a truely ruthless character and even she’s held down by the almost game like atmosphere the author creates. (Can’t really explain it’s more a vibe if anything)

Great job keeping... more>> Moby mysterious we know absolutely nothing about him only his abilities. I like how MC’s talent namely his special physique. Super op but outrageously hard to level up. (For a protagonist) Of cause part of the problem was him lacking focus on cultivation and exploring different avenues.

I don’t like how his first retainer ended up, this was a man who was broken and granted a new life by them MC so I can understand his loyalties but he ends up becoming a pretty weak character who ends up as just that a loyal hound. Nothing like the strong minded hero he once was I don’t think his gratitude towards MC should have taken away his independence. I have hope now at my current chapter but honestly he’s been a let down.

I just hate the paper girl. Imma leave it at that, she’s useful for the sole purpose of having to be useful granted I know that’s kinda the point I just wish it hadn’t felt so blatant.

Fantasy Feys are a let down. When they were first introduced they were described as something fantastical. They ended up reduced to a simple level. It’s the same for Myth aswell.

Spoiler

Source Sand better be op af at myth three fantasy imprints gone because of it I would not be having problems if he kept churning them out like he once was but all of a sudden author decided to nurf him granted he’s still making tremendous progress but his growth has been pretty lopsided. That’s undercutting it quite frankly it’s insane how weak he is in places but how outrageously broken he is in others. I mean fair play it leaves avenues for genuine improvement open I just have problems with how he goes about it. Main problem is chapters 300-500 are a waste of space and no joke stalled the progression of the story from plot to character development and even cultivation. Stalled across the board.

[collapse]

I probably have more to say but I can’t think of anything else at the moment or it’s linked to previous things I’ve said and I don’t know how to write them out without sounding redundant so I’ll stop there.

FEM is a great novel it went through a rough patch sure but it’s a quality novel with interesting ideas at work. It’s flaws are glaring but acceptable except the rough patch truely headache inducing. Now that it’s picked itself back up I hope it remains strong. <<less

While the initial idea and execution are good, the pacing is way too slow and full of fillers. The MC also keeps expanding his pets, allies etc. Such that all his initial pets barely develop. While I liked his interactions with his first pets, having too many made it just like a harem novel where you forget the names of the female leads. I feel like I have read 10s of chapters with literally nothing happening.

Quite enjoyable. I've actually picked up this story a few times and stopped in the first 10-20 chapters. This time I decided to give a more serious try and managed to catch all the way up to translation. Our MC is pretty much hopeless at the beginning but with the awakening of his first extremely overpowered fey, he quickly builds up his power. At first it was still pretty steady and reasonable, but later on he grows almost exponentially in the last thousand or so chapters, at least in power.... more>> In terms of individual strength, he's still relatively weak compared to the top tier power in the world. The story feels like it's not even close to ending unless the author decides to do the classic rushed ending, with an entire layer of worlds outside of their current world. Hope the MC gets to settle down a bit soon and actually grow his own strength. <<less

Novel Is Very Much Slow, So you can skip it many chapter.

It Title is wrong, if title is merchant, then MC needs to upgrade his shop and upgrade his Creation Master. But MC always want to become powerfull, he forget his base where he needs to take care of his shop.

Author Story is good till, before he become discipline of Moon Empress, but after in 100 Chapter only 10 Chapter is good, and all is shit.

So if your Pokemon is Slowpoke, You can like the story.
