This book is probably one of the best books that describes a ruthless and cold protagonist. The protagonist is more like a psychopath. He uses all the options to become stronger and no matter how he accomplishes his goal; the result is what matters.

The protagonist is someone who has suffered his entire life, prayed to gods/heaven/buddha, he did everything he could, though he didn't get any results and after getting a technique that gave him the chance to become stronger and ultimately be Immortal, he choose to abandon his humanity and do everything he can to become stronger and be an immortal being.

There's no romance or harem in this novel, no family affection or clans or anything like that, MC only cares about himself and his goals, for that he can do anything.

It's not the kind of edgy MC who kill and then turn around and go to a harem or becomes kind, like some 180-degree change. This is the same, throughout, in personality.

The protagonist is definitely evil, which is good, to the point that he slaughters people and steals souls in the first few chapters. If not for that I'd give it a 1. He's just way too OP and lucky, to the point that it just totally failed to draw me in. Seriously, he has so far had an average of more than 1 breakthrough every 10 chapters, and that's not even counting the minor ones (like mid - peak). There's also pretty much no world-building, so you only know about... more>> the area he currently is at or is about to go to (and by area I mean it briefly mentions the town, and apparently there's an emperor). And wtf is with the "weak to strong" or "poor to rich" tags??? He starts out as the patriarch of the top local clan and spends enough to "allow a normal family to live in luxury for a thousand years" multiple times over within the first 10 chapters! <<less
