The story started off great, especially when we begin to realize that the author is planning to tackle the complicated plot lines of time travel and time loops as well as overthrowing the system kind of trope. Once we got to the end though, it wasn't that there weren't any more plot twists, but rather overall, the plot went according to what we expected to read in order to wrap up the main storyline. Also, the author adds some bizarre plot points that could have been inserted with more context.... more>> I think the author covered all plot lines and answered all of the glaring questions that we would have by the end though, so the ending was still well written.

However, there are certain points in certain relationships that I have to disagree with, including the appearance of r*pe and r*pe victims becoming lover (which is included in the tags), which is why I only gave it 4 stars and not 5.

It would have been SO much less toxic if Xing Yan didn't basically take away Luo Jian's chance to befriend Ah Lan. I also can't agree with Ah Lan and Duan Li's relationship, considering DL is a literal domestic abuser (in the extra chapters) and a rapist. Was Luo Jian and Feng Yulan's friendship too pure that the author had to break them apart??? T^T

I previously read KOD and I would have to say that although KOD and this novel are both unlimited flow horror novels, they are quite distinct from each other.

There is a e-sports sequel to this novel, which might be the reason why the author wrote the ending the way it is. Characters from EIC are supposedly going to appear in that sequel. <<less

This book was really something unexpected for the whole way. But I like it quite much.

First of all, this story is not what it looks at the begging. And it will u fold with such mysteries and answers that it will be shocking. Don’t want to make too much spoilers because it is better to read as it is.

Also, be ready it may blow your mind at some points. This time and space travel is a bit complicated and I still fill there is some holes, but it’s not a... more>> big minus.

The main character undertake so many challenges and changes though the story that my heart was crying and smiling so many times I can’t describe. It’s a bit of emotional rollercoasters here.

I was not that happy with the ending at first, but extras made up for that. I think it’s better to say that extra is the main ending and afterword, so 100% need to read.

I like this story and thankful for all who maid it possible. The story is definitely good and worthy. <<less

i went into this completely blind without even checking the tags, and simply breezing through the sypnosis which pretty much did not reveal anything that made this story different from others. that was why it took me so long to start reading it, plus the subpar ratings.

going into it blind was DEFINITELY an experience. I came here expecting a pretty normal unli-flow story with a "strong" MC who can't solve his own problems and ML who's only characteristic is OP. the very first chamber further cemented that idea. when the... more>> best friend came out, I had just brushed him off. the ghost ship arc made me ship the MC and his best friend since the ML didn't show up most of the time. then the hidden string snapped and the plot armour I was expecting did not work. quite the whiplash to poor old me just wanting to read something to pass time, instead I got my heary ripped out and fed to the dogs ah.... <<less

Honestly I'd have to rate this book a 4.5

This book setting was very interesting. I had a lot of fun reading it. The amazing well thought out plot was great and I enjoy them a lot. Especially the train and the secret chamber arc. The secret chamber genuinely got a bit of scare out of me and that doesn't happen at all with books for me. I thought it was extremely well thought out. Though there wasn't too much info. It was a good thing cause it didn't confuse me... more>> much. The twist was cool and I really like it. The making out sessions was well... quite unnecessary but I'll take the tofu that was serve to me. Hehe

the train was also really good. It got me crying a little. I thought the author did a well job expressing the characters feelings especially the MC. I love how we get to see him trying to maintain calm but also had panic and anxiety in him. Then the disgust and more too... but the ending... when they suddenly started making made me well... idk it didn't fit the whole arc... but overall the ending was cool and it made me gaps.

I had a lot of fun reading it from the beginning but I can't say I wasn't disappointed with the ending. It was so anticlimactic it felt... unsatisfied.

Though with where they were going with the book, it probably was the happiest ending we can get.

Honestly if LJ were to accept the power of the chamber then he might be able to continue with his lover and friend and create a new realm and stuff instead of everyone dying...

Honestly the whole romance don't fit with the story... without the romance the book might been better or if they did a better job with how they fall in love, the *** scene would feel more natural instead of MC thinking the ML is hot so he's fine with it and ML just like from just one kiss.

The development of MC and ML seems so strange... One accidental kiss made them lovers through universe and timelines... going through so much for each other...

How abyss believed that LH died and that he's much more mentally strong and all but he's still vulnerable in front of his friend and lover is so... strange for me...

And the side couple is even worse... I don't even need to explain how ridiculous it was when I first saw the flag between them...
I also hate FYL... I've never seen someone who can be useless yet so useful... strong yet so... WEAK!! I was so patient with him. They said he's a strong summoner BUT HE NEVER USE THAT POWER. WHATS THE POINT OF HAVING STRONG MENTAL POWER ONLY FOR MC TO HAVE THE SAME THING. And he's so useless he can't protect himself at all!! HE Relied on luck so many that it made me mad. He hinders the whole party. So useless yet he played such a big role to MC heart that it made him seem useful but he still wasn't even in the big main battle at the end!!

If you think about it.. all the problems came from him!! If he were to use his brain and asked MC what he needed help with before signing the paper... all of this wouldn't happen... he wouldn't die and DL wouldn't join and MC wouldn't be forced into team battle!! AND MAYBE HE WOULD GET MORE TIME WITH ML SO THE ROMANCE SEEM MORE NATURAL!!

my fav is Luo Feng and Hong 💀 They r the most normal ones with actual common sense and I respect them so much for keeping up with those crazy ppl... Clown is so cute istg

Overall it's a 4.5 for me and the 3 came from the story line it self... though I only liked it until he reach the Azura realm... and the romance got 1.5 cause honestly... I just want some dog food and thought they weren't very high quality... they were still quite delicious due to how rare it was on the later arc.. <<less

First things first: the translators did an AMAZING job. It's honestly worth reading just for how beautiful the translation is and to see if you vibe with it. My opinions are my own based on what kind of ending I prefer. I still recommend giving it a try!

Now for my opinion. I want to say I loved the novel but:

was absolutely f*cked over repeatedly by the author. He was r*ped, died and suffered numerous times, and even his ending is so f*cking unsatisfying because he is in an abusive relationship and never got to experience his extremely close friendship with MC.

The ending was okayish except it's the type that I find so f*cking unsatisfying.

The secret chamber was destroyed and they all went back in time to a "normal" life so it negated all of their history and experiences with each other. Yes, MC and ML meet and are happy. Yes, the whole gang is brought together at the end. But everything they went through is just.... forgotten. And I also hate that MC went from building himself up and getting strong to solely relying on ML in the ending extras. I just feel like they aren't the same people we spent 200+ chapters with at all.

It deserves a five, after you can figure out who is who, man that's one heck of a learning curve Ah Lan vs Ah Jian as nicknames. But the author sure can construct horror games, where best friends have to cater to a pair of psycho's to survive while scrambling to figure out the rules. That bit is gold and lasts for the first 107 chapters. Then the author makes one of the most baffling decisions I've ever seen gives everyone amnesia and then gives the MC a full solo chunni power up and haves him time travel. Wrecking the careful team work chemistry built up and romance progress. Then incorporate Scifi and retreading the plot and it almost feels like the author slapped on someone's fanfic of their work to call it an ending. Pretend the story ends at chapter 107 and enjoy it that much absolutely deserves the 5 stars I gave it.

The plot is well-developed. And hits you right in the feels. The MC despite not being the strongest or the most courageous is able to stabilize himself and tries to adapt to the greatest extent. The ML is quite powerful but cares for the MC almost instinctively.

If you ignore some other aspects of the story such as the side-couple's relationship starting on a bad point, the story is almost perfect.

You will be able to understand quite a lot if you analyse from the beginning otherwise you will be lost in middle. Only read this if you're used to reading psychological thrillers. Some aspects of the story are only suited for those mentally strong. <<less

Incredibly good y'all. The culmination to the final arcs read like a blockbuster movie I was so into it. *^* Pretty complex elements to the plot, what with the integration of the space-time continuum, time travel, mystery, loops, escape-room type problem solving, etc. The start may have been sometimes hard to get through 'cause it can be a bit dense, but the conclusion was SO DAMN GOOD.

Thank god for the extras.

Ah Lan x Duan Li's ending was rather unhappy, which made me sad, but perhaps the author chose the more realistic route with their story, given their personalities and backstories. I was also sad that Ah Lan and Luo Jian didn't grow up bffs!!! D:< But at least they got to meet each other in the end... grrr

.......I'm not sure of what to say but however, I wonder what this novel would be like if it wasn't BL themed? ┐ ('～`;) ┌ I think it may be better or more or less the same. At east I wouldn't had to suffer through the endlessly burning side CP and the not so satisfying main CP. ತ_ತ

I'm grateful for the persistence to keep this novel going and the quality of the TL throughout. (≧▽≦)

I had an enjoyable time reading this novel for three reasons.

  1. Kudos to the translators team. A lot of work went into the translation to ensure story flow.
  2. There was a clear plot. The minor confusion points never distracted me from the important details.
  3. One of my pet peeves is dumb characters. I like that each character contributed to moving the plot along and were not dumb.
I get the feeling that authors spend an enormous amount of time on a story beginning and forget about the story ending. I feel like that's a... more>> weakness in a lot of the Chinese web novels I've read and chose not to read. I'm glad that the plot problem was dealt with in a thoughtful and logical order, but I wish more time was dedicated to additional chapters to wrap up everyone's stories and relationships. Just 1 or two chapters to summarize the couples' story seems rushed, especially with no mentioning of any intersection with other characters.

All in all, the story was solid, the characters were fleshed out, and there's a conclusive ending. <<less
