I like the initial plot of the story, how the girls survive the calamity and break free from the fire pit know as Yue family. But I must say, I'm quite dissatisfied with some parts of it as well.

Such as the romance between FL and ML. I don't like how unnecessarily cringy, cliche and forceful way the author write them. I mean...

FL :

    • Is a former soldier
    • Has passable matrial arts skill
    • Cautious and meticulous

But also FL :

    • Tripped from a stone and stumbling into ML's lap
    • Has guards following them but still get lost in a crowd and stumbling into ML's arms
    • Knows some people has malicious intentions but did not prepare for the incoming danger

Hehe because of that I feel that the FL's skills are merely decorations and the guards are just paper tigers. Their interactions could be initiated better but author chose to write it this way... *facepalm*

About how submissive FL's mother is, although yes IT IS quite frustrating to read how she fumbled her way through, it's still understandable. Afterall, she is 100% an ancient woman with miserable past.

Even berofe marrying into Yue family she was treated unfairly by her own relatives and later she was treated inhumanly by the Yue family. Being oppressed like that for so many years will beat whatever confidence in her, especially because she never have someone to help her/as confindant, even just to relieve her emotional/psychological burden. It will seemed unrealistic to make her do 180 personality. And FL do her best to prevent the mother from raising the only son into a crooked tree, it is good for her to assert dominance and remind her mother of her old scars and past life experiences.

When her family is down to their last breath and FL came to the rescue she feel grateful. But as soon as they got some status and recognition, she begin to turn her nose up just because of some unrelated people whisperings, easily forgetting FL's good deeds towards her family. But fortunately her husband (ML's father) has a good head on his shoulder and reminded her to not be ungrateful bish.

    • Some people mentioned how FL forgot about her promise to pay back the old doctor back in her hometown.
    • The family background/past is not revealed to the girls' husbands except Han Li, the second miss' husband.
    • The end of Yue family is unknown. We readers suffers reading through 40+ chapters of verbal and physical ab*se aimed towards the mother and childrens only to not get closure. Hey, we want some face-slapping okay??

I feel like probably there is more?? But I don't have the will to the check them again.

I like the heart-warming relationships between the sisters. I want to read other story with this type of harmonious sisterhood, be it biological or not.

Clicked 5 by accident but should be 3 will try to change it

Story until ch 140~ ish: 10/10 very good, very touching, suffering at the beginning but everyone gets retribution in the end and get to see MC make money and do stuff, quite pragmatic and decisive and it was so nice...

Until the last 20 ish chs CMON oh MC who has been going around everywhere steady and sure, even has studied a bit of self defense martial arts suddenly starts tripping everywhere into the arms of ML and becomes... more>> almost a bit tsundere instead of actually rightfully being angry??? Cmon

I liked their relationship earlier, its was gr8 and it was refreshing how they actually stepped back with propierty about their respective standings but I believed there would be something done about it... yet it felt like a total monkey paw.

Honestly its such a great story but the ending sours it for me, feels like author lost the meaning of the story they were writing in the first place <<less

It was one of the most heartwarming novel's I've read. The bond between these sister's are so wholesome and I like how the story progressed. It was not hurried at all. Ten out of ten, would recommend.

I really liked it, it’s slow paced. Every day life events were interesting to read. Character building is nice, no one over powered. MC is getting help, but she is literally trying to do everything she can to earn and make a living, which is nice. Usually either they will overact or they will do nothing, but MC is trying her best to earn and protect her family. I really liked it, if you are fan of slice of life genres then give it a try, it’s worth it.

Recc for people who are into porridge novels. The tl gets better down the line, as does the plot. You're most likely to drop it in the beginning, during the introduction into family dynamics ark.

The plot focuses on MC's life, and there is basically nothing after the weadding, the romance itself is barely there so if you expects something from that, you'll be left unsatisfied. There's a bunch of things that are just mentioned superficially without really being further explored so that's a bit lacking. Overall the focus is behavior... more>> rather than world building, but even then there's some little things that were done just for the sake of it, and sorta betray the characters and turn them into caricatures. The most annoying one that comes to mind is close to the end,

when they are already engaged, the ML's mother turns into some sort of evil woman for just 3 sentences, even tho she was shown as a very like, very upright even if arrogant noblewoman. And after whole chapters of her trying to get them to get engaged all of a sudden she hates the MC? A girl she came to love, respect and lean on for literal years? She even felt incredibly indebted to and guilty towards the MC due to past prejudiced opinions about her, and yet the same girl she disdained saved her and honored her when she was demoted to s*avery and not a single person in a sea of people she used to be close to stepped foreword. And yet she came to dislike her for no reason, just so her husband can 'reason' with her in a handful of words and she'd change her stance immediately? Bullshit. Then the matter of the third sister getting married to a soldier who thinks girls should be X, f*ck that sh*t fr

It's really a pity there was not more interesting couple dynamics and all of them were just the usual. It would've been really fun if MC actually got with the younger brother instead of the chosen ML, like a very spoiled fun loving chara that wants to cry whenever MC gets tanned or her hand gets a callous and is all in all a complete opposite to the usual ML, and for her third sister to get matched with someone who is a lot more girly then her and fell in love because she is so majestic and independent, instead of doing the usual competent MC but ML is more OP, and wild mares get tamed by soldiers trope.

Other than that there's a whole bunch of things that irk me but all in all it was not a bad novel. I liked the lack of desire to forgive in all the sisters, and the fact that they all got along well, the sharing of work and responsibility was also great. <<less
