    • I love how the MC got a romantic interest without beating around the bush for a hundred or so chapters. She realized she likes him so she went for him. This is truly a love story and not two ice blocks trying to figure out love.
    • We also have some steamy scenes and kiss scenes which is quite refreshing without waiting for like 200+ chapters.
    • The pacing and plot execution is better than Genius Doctor Black Belly Miss. The antagonists are better and not 2D bullies who bullies for the sake of having someone to bully the MC and have her kill them.
    • Nothing really extraordinary with the plot but it is definitely a nice read that will keep you going. The best c novel for me is still Lost You Forever in terms of characters, plot, world building, and execution.
    • I like how she's not an overkill when it comes to punishments and killing compared to the MC in Black Belly Miss where she can be considered as EVIL. It's not as gruesome and bloody and detailed.
    • A con for me is that this world does not have anything to do with pets or magical beasts. This universe is less magic and more politics, romance and martial arts.
    • Time skips is a huge plus! Sometimes we need those skips to make the story move along.
    • Her character is the typical cold and cunning female character with a deadly stare. The main difference is that she got a lover to love her. She doesnt have friends though and she just has followers. It makes her a lonely character who only really has her lover for support. (She needs a pet. Lol.)

I feel like I need to come out and say this. This isn't the best story, but for crying out loud! Why are people upset that the female lead is OP? I've seen other novels with the same setting, but with a male lead and you don't see people shaming the male lead because he's strong. And the story does have it's mysteries as to why she's that strong.

It's her mother side of the family. They're supposedly a really strong clan - probably descendant of the gods/goddess race. But we don't really know as of yet. The translations are getting into that part though. I have many theories regarding her birth and why the body she's taken is able to adapt to things she wasn't able to do so before, but I'll leave that out for another time.

Anyways, rant out. The romance is there, though I wished the author didn't rush into it so early on. I would have liked to see the development of their relationship more before she

revealed her true face to him. Because now it' just feels like their relationship is superficial and that he only likes her for her looks

. It shows a new side to her and that she doesn't need a man to depend on. She's definitely not a damsel in distress and I LOVE IT! ? She does has flaws! Her insecurities are her flaws. To say she doesn't, then you were clearly not reading the same story I was reading. Now, about the story. The plot is starting to move somewhere interesting. The dots are starting to connect and we're learning a of lot of new things about the female lead's mother and her clan. We also are starting to see a new side to the male lead! His character development took a turn down towards the path of yandere after

seeing her fall off the cliff and learning that his father and that other countries had a part in her kidnapping.

Just wow. Gosh, this is a rare gem in many. Even though it has no originality in the time traveling concept, the plot is interesting the more I read into it. I just hope someone continues to pick the story up where the last translator left it off at. It's a long journey, but worth it. Even if the plot does drags in some area's, this isn't a bad story. I've seen worst stories than this and this is not one of them. ? Also, some have stated that the story isn't realistic, but how can it be realistic if it's in a fantasy world where almost everyone has this special skill/power where they can fly in the sky and the female lead time travels to the past or another world (whatever you want to call it) ?! If you wanted realistic, you should have looked at the tags before jumping in. This story isn't meant to be realistic, it's FICTION for crying out loud! Nothing is suppose to be realistic in fiction! If you're looking for realistic, you're in the wrong section. <<less

Dropped it after 150 chapters so I will be able to talk a little about it.

Unlike other reincarnated MC, the MC uses the methods of modern day earth. Good. What about the methods of the new world? We can just cover it up with lo~ve. I mean, she was an assassin. She met a guy who was good to her. Bang, she loves him. This kind of romance seems childish. And she is too OP. Especially considering that she uses the methods of the modern earth. And, I personally like... more>> my MC to have a rather proper reason for excessive violence. Considering the shallow love, I just can’t take it as a proper reasoning. AND, the stuff that needs more screen time doesn’t get the required screen time.

she fights along with an entire army against two nations officially and many others in the shadows during one part. It translates to ONE god damn chapter. And each chapter is about 1 page.

As I am not up to date with it, I can’t talk about recent chapters. I suggest that you go for something else like TDG or something like that for a good reincarnation/time travel. If you wanna check out DOP, you an probably give it about 60 chapters before taking a decision. <<less

It's an interesting story, but not really well written. It's hard to follow the plot sometimes and it lacks something (maybe POV or some descriptions, I don't know but it is too fast paced sometimes).

The romance is meh. It pretty much came out of nowhere. But as the story goes on, I guess it's fine.

The MC is likeable but... Here, we have a strong and smart female lead who does not hesitate to threaten or kill others to get what she wants. And that's the problem. I have no with... more>> problem with strong female character (in fact I love them), but Liu Yue is a bit too much. She's out of control it's hard to relate. She's almost a sociopath.

The story is not exactly realistic either. I have no problem with supernatural sotries, but then it should be introduced as one from the beginning. Here, besides the whole reincarnation thing, we have realistic world with irrealistic events. I mean man-eating ants, a 500 meters long snake... And the 13 years old girl wiping out an army, no. No matter how OP she is, in a supposedly realistic world as a human being that's not possible.

But well. That being said, it's still a nice story to read to pass time. <<less

One of my favorite novels, I'm gonna be pretty short on my review;

I've got only one point that I would like to share about this novel. The MC is quite... different. You see? Usually when someone reincarnates on these wuxia novels, they are godly talented n' cultivation this, cultivation that... well, our lil' MC givez zeroes F*** for the world's system. She was an awesome assasin on her previous life, n' she continues being the same assassin, not wasting time learning the world's martial arts, not beating around the bush... more>> when she find an interesting guy, not giving face to enemies nor allies...

Yeah. Althought it's the same reincarnator story, it's pretty different, I reeeally enjoyed this! F*** ur 'ki', 'energy', whatever! U cant do sh*t if ur dead! Lolz! <<less

Rating: 4 stars though officially I gave it 5 stars as I feel the need to balance out the really low ratings.

Assasin reincarnated. Not actually from too bad a family and they prove to be useful/supportive not too later on. Straight forwardly strong main male and secondary male love rivals are consistent once introduced and don't never turn up again. So I felt there wasn't any major plot holes in this aspect.

Sure it may not be the best in its genre but I personally really enjoyed it and feel... more>> it's underrated. A good read for those comfort needing days as the majority of currently translated chapters are low (occasionally slightly more) on angst with a pretty OP female MC although I my opinion the male MC doesn't do too much...

In the more recent chapters the angst is ramped up with surrounding countries of love rivals creating trouble along with some political play and power struggles spicing things up. And not forgetting the mysterious family of the MC that will keep you guessing.

So the MC isn't invincible or too op all the time, it just takes a while to get there if that's your thing or just go along for the mostly feel good ride xD

It's an easy read but don't have high expectations of complicated conspiracies or something ground breaking that hasn't been written before as there has been none so far, but it satisfied me as I repeat but IT WAS A FEEL GOOD OKAY!! WE DONT ALWAYS NEED HEAVY ANGST THROUGHOUT.

Okay rant over xP <<less

What starts out as a slightly interesting story with a strong female lead quickly degenerates into a female version of the "male" dream. She goes from the most beautiful assassin and re-incarnates into.. The most beautiful mystery princess who is better at swordplay, politics, guts, warfare, assassination, technology than the universe. Oh someone gets in her way? Kill the entire enemy army by herself, cuz she's so bloodthirsty they all piss their pants looking at her. Readers beware, mary sue to the extreme and honestly becomes pointless to read.

The MC has no mercy at all towards her enemies. So ruthless and cool.

Okay, she might be a Mary Sue to some extreme parts so it kinda become pointless to read the novel but c'mon... I need to read more about the romance between the MC and ML. The MC is being too much of an OP, it would be better if she slowly try to learn and adept into her new world and basically take it slowly.

This maybe isn't the best one but I think it's likable and not... more>> intolerable to read. It's a shame that there haven't been an update for a while... <<less

i really don't understand the negative reviews here... I am really saddened that the translators team dropped it, but I guess they got discouraged?

the MC is not OP ah, she got hurt all the time, she has things she doesn't understand like things about army strategies and fishes, etc. She has loneliness and displays her vulnerabilities well. the ML is not overbearing. they understand each other and not arrogant. the villains are interesting and the schemes are too. they do spend a lot of time in battles, slashing and stabbing... more>> but well, it is a fight against one's lives so can' say why people complain?

i wish this novel will get picked up again, such a shame. One of the best. <<less

I actually find this pretty good. Although I can't rate this full star because there are parts that seems a 'meh' for me.

Actually I was going to drop this series when I was on chapter 200 I think but I still continue to read it and now Honestly I am really hook. At first, the story is about a super OP female main character who shows her prowess and her love story with the prince. I am always hoping that the prince is really strong just how the people around... more>> him describe him to be. But later on he was always being save and protected by the main character. I was really disappointed at that.

But that's not it! He was actually really strong. Stronger than the MC. For those who think he is not strong then better read the whole novel again. He was just holding back.

The MC is not dumb, she is actually intelligent and witty. The problem is she is too ruthless, brutal, selfish and above all fiery tempered. There are a lot of major setbacks in this story but as chapters increases I think the story is getting better

I am now in ch. 440 and thinks got interesting now because background of the female character is starting to unravel and the overconfidence of the MC started to crumble. This is the start of the major change of the story and I think and hope that this will overly change her character. The love story between the prince and the MC also starting to have a major problem. I won't spoil the problem.

Above all, this story is very good. I think the real plot of this story is just really slow pace. <<less

While this novel is great It's not great enough to get a perfect score. While finding a novel of this kind with a female protag, it turned into her being a super girl some sorts. While yes this is a novel with fantasy like elements and women are able to fight, it still shouldn't be to the point of her being able to do everything.

I do recommend this novel to people who would want a book with a nice story about a ex-assassin finding love in a new world and... more>> being OP. =P <<less

Shallow and immature characters. I prefer brain over brawn, and unfortunately, most of the characters fall into the latter category. At no point do I believe the heroine ever used to be an adult.

To be fair, I dropped the novel somewhere around chapter 40. But honestly, that’s more than enough chances for a series to redeem itself, which it didn’t.

I like this novel because it's a different kind of re-incarnation story than usual seen in Chinese novels. The main character dies quite young in the modern world and wake up like a younger version of herself. Before dying once, she never had a chance to experience love in her previous life, but now she is actually going to get married to someone!

There is no depth in this story. I dragged on to keep reading but at some point I began to wonder why I even reading it. I feel like the author wanted to take the story somewhere but just crashed and burns tbh

Chapter 319: As far as the reincarnated female assassin genre goes, DOP is an exceedingly mediocre example, though more people know about it due to its manhua (with hideous character designs). The story is pretty much there to showcase how OP the female lead is, and how easily impressed she is with the small signs of affection the male lead is able to offer her (it’s not that he doesn’t want to help – more that he’s pretty much just tagging along), while various opponents appear just for her to... more>> slice through them all.

1. The MC never truly attempts to engage with her new world. She was OP in the past and is OP in her present life, failing to adapt or merge the skills of both worlds. This would’ve made the story more interesting, allowed room for character development and the reader could’ve explored an interesting universe filled with places and rules, aside from what she has butchered and what she’ll get around to butchering.

2. The story itself is lacking – since the female lead is OP, the main couple is already chummy, there’s no real hook or anticipation to keep the reader engaged. Whatever one-off villain appears, the MC will come out on top. For recurring, it’s only a matter of when she can get to it.

3. The romance – the main couple in DOP got together instantly, and they exchange a few sweet words occasionally to keep the MC as the male lead’s bodyguard, making us wonder how lonely and starved for love she would’ve been before meeting him. Have romance novels never heard of team work?

However 300 chapters is like 10-15% of the series, so I guess it could improve – only is it worth sticking around for?

The go to series for most people is DKC, which pretty much reverses the male and female leads’ strengths. However people and relationships are developed more, and the author's exaggerated writing style is quite addictive. Though DOP's romance is still healthier ><"

I'd go with World Defying Dan God in terms of pacing if you don't mind a male lead and harem, since both MCs pretty much sweep through antagonists like they're dusting.

The other might be Congratulation Empress but that's more of a downgrade...

E: Initially rated 3/5 but now there are just so many similar series which outclasses DOP, making it no longer worth reading <<less

This novel can only be described as "ok".

At first I thought the prince guy was going to have a super strong personality, but he turns out to just be eyecandy, and pretty much does nothing for the rest of the series. What a disappointment.

The characters are shallow, and the MC just feels too OP. Like, there's no tension anymore, and she just does everything.

There aren't really any epic parts of the story either. Nothing made me feel super excited or tensed.

This story is ok. That's all.

Reincarnate. Female MC. That's genre of this novel. She was assassin. Reborn with intact memory, thus still be assassin. At the early stage, she still was.. Though a bit weak. However, she was pushed by author's plot armor to be fighter.. Thus lost her 'assassin' luster. But - acceptable, because NO author know about the art of killing and assassin. Most reader too.

Generic love fantasy story with wuxia/xianxia as background. Treat it as light love novel, and you won't miss anything. At least, it has not much brain ret*rd kill-kill-kill... more>> plus million words space filling like most famous xianxia. <<less

I read this after the manga and I have to say that it did not let me down. Its just as good as I had hoped and I cant wait to keep reading! The MC relies on herself to do things and she never lets me down with what she knows. Some things feel a bit mary sueish but its small enough that I can deal with it. The way the MC is described is perfect and the fighting scenes are well written.

After reading numerous reincarnation novels this story simply fell flat to me. It was unremarkable. I lost interest the moment she said, ‘I’m yours? Then you’re mine’. I was truly disappointed at the absence of the chase and a decent courtship. But I persisted and read up to 83, hoping for something better.

The MC is god. The world was moulded for her to trample upon at a whim. No interesting wing men. Haven’t found one character I like. I was simply bored. Maybe the story and the characters will gain... more>> a personality with the story’s progression, I will never know. <<less

There are many stories like this - OP lead transmigrates from an unrealistic modern world to an equally unrealistic past where everyone is a monster and consequences didn't exist until the lead shows up to kick everyone's ass. I'm not saying it's bad, that's fine if you like it, but it's nothing original and isn't something that interested me the first time I encountered it, let alone the 15th time.
