This legend tells the tale of the protagonist, Kuroki summoned to protect the demon king from the hero.

Kuroki, unbeknownst to him, suddenly came to another world. He was summoned by the demon king, Modes. The territory which the demon king overrules was in the midst of being destroyed because of the hero. He had no choice but to bow before Kuroki.

“Please save us, Savior Dono!”

Kuroki nodded, deciding to save the demon king due to an unexpected turn of event.

I must say this novel is pretty interesting for those who are bored. The characters have multiple POV. It also have alot of words that is good. It doesn't scramble it. It would be nice to have a manga adaptation (if possible)

Also It is my first review. So hope you enjoy reading it.

Another tr*sh MC it's like even though he got NTRed he keeps want to love those hoes. There has to be some kind of psychological problems inside his head.

He is OP but isn't badass enough to be called MC.

There plenty of good novels are there than this. You can see by just seeing the rating why it's so damn down.

sorry, I can only give 2 stars. Its not too accurate for a review, but I can't bring my self to recommend it to another.

It's a problem when the Author write them as human, but the characters seems unable to learn from their mistakes. It's unlike human.
Well then, repetitive explanations about certain personality and conditions, repetitive mistakes of the same person, repetitive acts in different arcs with tendency of unable to learn from past mistakes, repetitive obliviousness which caused so much misunderstanding; those make things cliche, maybe the story it self didn't have much of purposes at the time the author writes it.

Hopefully this novel will turn better because the synopsis is good, but well, until c40.1, almost all the front-liner craponades have peanut-sized brain.

Perhaps, it is good to read it monthly just as suggested in other review. 1/2 star for the novel, 1/2 star for Author's effort to write it, 1 more for the Translator.

It's hard to progress with all the popups (chrome blocked 25 at once a few times) some redirects, something that sometimes keeps you from being able to scroll more than halfway down the page before kicking you back close to the top.

Otherwise, I mostly enjoyed reading this. I do agree with some of the others that the self-absorbed hero template character is becoming an annoying mechanism in LNs and WNs, but that's like saying I'm tired of seeing all the Duke's Daughter WNs...

I've somehow managed to make it... more>> to chapter 12, but its getting harder to get a page to load through all the bs.

I'll try again someday, in the hopes that the self-destructive level of advertising gets fixed. <<less

Is there a tag for "passive protagonist"? Because that's what this protagonist is. He goes where he's told, does what he's told, and while he's at it if someone needs help he helps them.

Every single member of his harem is only there because he gets drugged into into for the first time (after that, they still have to make the first move to get any action). A few others like him but I assume they'll have to get some drugs to use on him to make him acknowledge them too.

Also,... more>> be warned that large amounts of chapters follow Reiji's harem members. At one point there are over ten chapters in a row of side chapters that have little or nothing to do with the protagonist.

Seeing as I rated it 4/5, you should be able to tell that these didn't bother me too much, mainly because the protagonist being passive is an actual weakness and not something people like him for. And I skipped over the long series of side chapters without missing anything in the main story. Other than that, the protagonist is likeable in spite of (because of?) his flaws, there's plenty of action and intrigue in the story, and the antagonists (some of them people close to Kuroki) aren't all s*upid or cartoonishly evil.

Most importantly, I want to know what happens next, which is rare for a web novel after 100 chapters. <<less

This is my first review so be careful for mistakes. I love this novel it is good and interesting. The MC himself is unimportant. He existed to drive the story forwards but the side-characters are not only believable but also relatable comparing to others of its trend any way. The lore and worldbuilding make the whole story lively and real. I would not care much about the MC since he was not great but good enough. You should consider him as a narrator. The real beauty of the novel is... more>> what happen around the guy not the guy himself. I am also grateful for the translator hard work. <<less

Well, in my opinion, this is a very interesting isekai-type novel, even though this novel has some NTR aura (in the story his crush is blindly in love with someone else).

The story so far is good. The MC get summoned as a "hero" by demon lord and asks the MC to protect him against the hero (and somehow the MC is kind of OP, where he manage to beat the hero).

I also interested in their romantic story. Between the MC, his childhood friend, and the goddess. Will the MC move... more>> on from his childhood friend and then he choose the goddess? Well, I kind of hoping something good from this novel. <<less

This is one of weirdest novel ever I read here really so weird that sometimes I hate it sometimes I really loved it like first 100 or 90 chapters gonna make you like bro really ? MC even exist or matter in this novel but after 100 novel starts to shows real potential here.

Yes yes yes MC not that important or interesting but let me say it thats really matter ? You know when you read novels you want have a fun and dont want your time to go tr*shcan... more>> aka wasted but I know Hero is annoying he thinks he better than MC bla bla but when MC shows what he can do this novel gets really better you just need wait for that.

Spoiler

MC strong but he dont care he is not high hormone teen who want bang everyone without responsibility. Hero act like total moron and first time fighting with MC gets rekt so hard and later he gets rekt even hard so dont worry about something like ''MC gonna stay weak or he gonna become pathetic'' thing nope thats not gonna happen.

[collapse]

Like it or hate it I dont mind but this is least deserve 3 star rating not lower dont be hater if you dont want become hater and waste of your time please read reviews and dont rate this novel unless you read like 100 chapters you destory other people chances to read this novel with bad reviews. <<less

The author is too stuck up on seeing the world through the perspective of "ugly vs beautiful" that no other thought can get into his thick head. The dude straight up doesn't understand how other people think other than him. It's incredibly pathetic to hear the 500th description of someone feeling bad that there is a pretty boy or a pretty girl.

I'm serious. That's the main driving conflict and emotional core of this.

However, I'm still here reading it. The drama is funny and the world is unique.

expectation:

from the first volume I have high expectation about this one, it will become a story about how the protagonist give a slap of reality to hero party for how righteously scumbag are they and just leave them alone, no taking girl from hero party, no killing hero party directly and soon like that one story how the hero party have no glorious return and wealth because the whole world see their scumbagness...

reality:

sadly it is not, the protagonist as villain or enemy of hero totally leave the hero party alone... more>> after fulfilling the summoner request.

as time goes on most POV is from the hero party how he become more glorious our protagoniat getting less and less pov.

in the early chapter the hero's girl companion ask " why you only help girl, reijii? why not help male too?" the hero answer "as a man they must complete their job by themself" and wow, he himself doing anything, everything with the help of girl... what a high double standart, at yet girl increasing, scene time increasing by the author....

also hero's actually a wild child of noble in japan, and here in another world he is f*cking girl left and right then leave them...... creating another wild child... what a double standard hate youe parent but become some like your parent.

which mean, yes the story seems like changing protagonist and this righteuos dude will be the one just like any other scumbag hero.

it's annoying but I sincerly wish our protagonist self-esteem will grow... that why 3... please have more backbone you have already win numerous battle from hero, why your self-esteem so low! <<less

I mean the way its written is good you never get bored well yo udo sometimes when you here MCs crush or the other girls simping over the hero which is so f*cking annoying at least have one girl to MC like Jesus it just about the hero but the pov of a sad man getting no b*tches like come on I'd at least rather have some random guy being op and having a group full of girls simping for him.

uh, it was strange to be honest

Kuroki the MC, who was essentially cucked by the guy named Reiji who is a MC (as in getting his stats corrected, strong, charming against women) get summoned as a counter against that reiji guy as a hero, and getting overcorrected, grievously wounded Reiji in the first fight

the jumbo mess involving swapping point of view between literally everyone and Kuroki, and Kuroki slowly getting things he kinda deserve since he is probably hundred times useful than hero even though he is demon... more>> king army's new commander

writing is fine, story is fine and kinda fresh, but a comedy fresh one. fighting is kind of meh since the way of fighting is mostly slamming skill to each other

the main cast is the weak-willed limp dik main heroine, childhood friend who kinda betrayed kuroki and then f*cking regret it, the as*hole hero, the demon king pig, the goddess
Spoiler

who going to f*cking netori Kuroki soon

[collapse]

involve so many characters you probably can't remember so..... be aware of that <<less

Please rate about the novel not about the translation.

One of my favorite WN.

already read 195 ch from syosetsu (1st person POV).

i recommend you to read the rewrite version on kakuyomu or another web, it's 3rd person POV and more polish with some detail added.

Plus points for me

  • so much world building
  • the battle not about stats
  • the MC stuggle to get his own happiness not just given by other
Minus points

  • sometimes the background settings is too long
  • somepeople says unresolved misunderstand, but everyone had their own personality and situation, its not 1+1=2. So I can accept it.

So it's a good story, it goes outside of the cliche get summoned by humans and they give you a one sided story of the situation that they antagonized. You being a naive kid believe them and essentially commit genocide to go home. Without actually knowing if you can. Instead the demons summon him and have been transparent with him and honestly befriended him. Got rid of a star though cuase there are way to many POV changes and so far haven't really clarified who the main girl will be.... more>> Also the author seems to have developed the belief that people like an MC who runs away a at the slightest sign of trouble, the MC has some major cowardice issues. <<less
