Ji Fanyin realized the moment she transmigrated over that she was a stand-in, a substitute for her younger twin sister, Ji Xinxin.

“Sure, I can be her stand-in. Here is my list of prices. Take a look at it first, and make sure to reserve a slot in advance. I won’t accept any last-minute calls, and do take note that it’ll only be a platonic relationship. Thank you for your cooperation,” she said.

In a western restaurant, a rich young master looked at her with eyes filled with affection as he said, “Xinxin, I would like to ask you out for a movie tomorrow night…”

An alarm suddenly went off.

Ji Fanyin took a glance at her phone before reining in her business smile, saying, “Time’s up. I need to rush for my next appointment. Make sure to foot the tab, and farewell.”

The rich young master’s smile froze up. “I’ll reserve four hours for tomorrow’s movie.”

In the middle of the night, a drunk, tyrannical young master dialed her number and whined, “Big sis, when will you come over to meet me?”

“In order to ensure the quality of service, this call will be recorded. It’s four in the morning right now, and my services will be ten times the usual price. Are you certain you want to proceed?” asked Ji Fanyin.

“… Hurry up and start acting!”

Ji Fanyin’s phone suddenly rang in the midst of a date with a domineering CEO at Tokyo’s tower. With a smile on her lips, she rejected the call and said, “Sorry, it’s another customer.”

“… I’ll pay you ten times the price. Switch off your phone.”

By the time Ji Xinxin finally returned back to the country, Ji Fanyin successfully retired from the scenes with the massive fortune she had amassed.

Heh, bad women will never get hurt!

Why 3 star I clearly click 5!! Gotta be one of my fav story~ yeah the ending sucks, the ML not rlly to my liking n theres some plothole with shen qi too, author kinda just forgot him n left him abandon ~But, the journey towards the ending the story is rlly great. I don't think some of those scum man deserve their ending tho it just going overboard. Like imo most of the original ji fanyin situation happen bcause of herself, her own fault. Yeah ur parent n ur... more>> sister treat u bad, but so what u dont need them to live. Ignore them u r a grown up human u can manage ur own life. Ur crush using u but did he force u in the beginning, u put urself there. I just cant understand smone with timid personality like this. Mybe growing up she get oppressed a lot but if me the moment I got into school I'll b out, like use my high iq to go into school tht have mandatory dorm or once u get into uni go live separately already. Our MC b like owh it's u all who push the poor girl over the edge u will pay with blood!! But seriously tho imo 70% of the original bad situation is due to her own self. Like MC said she's sensitive n fragile. I'm probably like tht Cheng lin who got so angry everytime I c ppl like this who let themself get bullied, get push around. Ppl will say u don't understand their situation, yes I'll never understand, just like how these ppl will never get it tht only they themselves can pull themself up from their own hell. <<less

Easy read - 5 stars for moral ethics & thorough & realistic & interesting plot / no plot holes

No brainless canon fodder, interesting 3-d side characters - satisfying karma - the scumbag characters improving in character and suffering from karma but not too much - the retribution they face is of similar level- the consequences of their actions - not like other CN where they just kill all opposition for daring to go against, apathetic to humans life & suffering - so it is in line with my ethics -... more>> it makes sense - not overly excessive

not much dod blood drama- parents are rightly held responsible - the author makes it clear the responsibily also lies with the parents - Host's fam & Bai's fam as well. People can improve - you are not obligated to accept an apology - be satisfied with your life

Rom not main focus - ML is very cute - respecting Mc's decision & never forcing his feelings - interesting personality - my type

Love the friendships - but nothing to heart wretching - a few tears hear and there - HE for both worlds very happy - MC has very clear moral standards and self respect and cause there's no rainbow farting everywhere she doesn't seem that op.

Very interesting System Task - spiritually satisfying - good ending no plot holes - feel no loss after done <<less

Not much romance in the novel (and mostly towards the end after the FL done with her mission).

The FL is smart and she uses her understanding of the other characters to complete her mission.

The author built the story nicely. There is no part that seems forced or too abrupt. Overall, it’s a good read.

10/5 Diamond in the Rocks

This is the first type of its kind that I read. It is so unique that I haven't seen anything else like this before.

Our MC is so wholesome and the way she managed it, and her acting skills and 'business skills' is amazing.

... more>> Sad for the other slag man, they deserves it but at the same time I feel bad for them.

The ML... I didn't expect that, but tbh the ML is commendable for his deeds. He did all that for the MC, I am glad it went reciprocated. The HE is well deserve.

I feel bad for the 'creator of her app'. I wont tell you why, but it is a pity. He is a good guy in both world. Oops that is a major spoiler.

Kudos to the author for thinking of this new innovative type of system novel.

Re-read? Hugh chance, Yes, why not.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I don't know why I read ths. Ths isn't my taste at all. Tho I'm obsessed with wise FL character. The extra Character r kinda tràsh..I think only for the FL makes me continue reading. ☹️ Overall it's good but not my taste.

I only like ths because of #transmigration #strong/wise fl.

5 stars if I ignore the last 5 chapters, otherwise it's a 4.5 stars. Still would definitely recommend to read.

Before I start my review I must first say that this is my first time reading such a story. What do I mean? Usually I read transmigration-cultivation / rebirth-cultivation / rebirth-revenge stories, but this is something quite different. Yes, there is transmigration but it's not really revenge? The whole premise is just different from what I usually read so my review is based on this being the first time I've read... more>> something of this sort.

The tag says "psychological" and I was thinking how can that be, based on the summary, but it really is! And kinda thriller also. Super exciting to read. I mean if it were made into a movie it wouldn't be oscar-worthy or anything, but still exciting to read! Especially for a little webnovel that I randomly came across and didn't think much of before I read it. Really, by the time I got into it, I was thinking "Aiya, only 111 chapters?" The plot summary is slightly lacking so I wasn't sure what to expect, nor does it hint of how it would be psychological, so let me give you a more in-depth summary that may be slightly spoiler-y.

Spoiler

Ji Fanyin gets into an accident and transmigrates to another world into the body of a girl with the same name and who just tried to commit su*cide. She finds out that she can only get back to her previous world if she earns 10 billion, so she gets the idea of being a professional stand-in, acting as her twin sister to men that miss her while she is overseas.

Her sister XX is basically a player (the term used in this story is "king of the seas" lolol) and JFY decides that she can make use of the "fishes" in her "fishery" to earn money. As you read on you find that it's basically people playing mind games with each other? I'm not sure how to describe it. You'll just have to read to find out.

[collapse]

I LOVE the fact that the terms used are so funny - Fishes and fishery (the men XX has hooked), king of the sea, expansion project (when XX goes to France to catch more fish lolol) etc. Maybe these terms are normal and popular but this is my first time seeing something like this lol.

EXTREMELY well-written. Well-translated too. (It's as if it was originally in English to begin with.) Everything flows smoothly and coherently. This is honestly a gem of a novel. Definitely in my top 3-5 (I don't have a number 1 favourite, only top few favourites and this one definitely makes the list).

The only "negative" is the last part which shifted to romance, for some reason. I can only say that thankfully the author left the romance to the last part so as to not ruin the story. I found the ML lacking and the romance lacking, I guess because the focus/genre of this story wasn't really romance to begin with, so it felt weird that there is suddenly a change in genre or something? If you're like me who doesn't need romance in the story and are already satisfied with the rest of the story and how it ended, you can just stop at chp 105.3.

In summary, 9-10 out of 10. Just nice to read over a weekend. Incredibly enjoyable and exciting. *Thumbs up* <<less

Definitely one of the best transmigration novels I've ever read.

The story is fast-paced and the plots are pretty good.

The ending left me feeling pretty unsatisfied though and the ML was not who I was expecting.

  • But, I had fun reading the story and I would give it a rating of 4.6 stars but I'll round it up to 5.

The one thing that distinguishes this story from most here for me is not the plot or the characters, but:

  1. The delivery. It's well paced, it flows perfectly, and the author knows where she's going.
  2. The calling out of the common toxic MC behaviours. Possessive hotheads, controlling CEOs, manipulative millionaires, criminal overlords are not actually great people to be with.
It actually does a good job putting into perspective the drama of immature relationships without excusing toxic behaviours, while still showing genuine sweetness...

The first 2/3 is like 5/5, the rest is like 4/5. The translation is about 7/5, if that's possible.

Love the strong, brilliant, and ruthless MC, she'll draw you in wanting to know what she's going to do next, wanting to watch her manipulating other characters around her.

Personally I can't enjoy it in full after chapter 80-ish when retributions and punishments are heaped like rainstorm. We all love the villains getting karma, but I probably missed the parts of what exactly happened to OG, what exactly Song Shiyu, Bai Zhou, and Li Xiaoxing had done in relation to the kidnapping OG experienced, thus I can't really understand why Li Xiaoxing deserved a lifetime of phantom pain, Song Shiyu deserved to die young, and Bai Zhou to live in regret. I may have missed it, but all I've seen is the ongoing highlights of Ji Xinxin's sins (which is plenty, and she fully deserved losing her sanity in the end!), and some references to Cen Xiangyang's crimes. In short I don't understand why Li Xiaoxing needs to suffer more than Cen Xiangyang, what had LXX done that was worse than CXY? I feel like Cen Xiangyang and Ji parents had it too easy, much much too easy. The author keeps the information of what OG experienced in the kidnapping in the dark, so it's hard to relate to the scale of the retribution for each of the villains. I feel a little indignant on behalf of Li Xiaoxing, what else had he done apart from being selfish, greedy, and too lazy/proud to investigate who the real angel is?

I also think Ji parents should be punished more, the root cause of OG's suffering was Ji parent's extreme bias and mistreatment. Ji Xinxin's basic character is vile, but she was also a victim of her parent's misguided method of raising the twins, she was mentally imbalanced from the beginning, then she was moulded to be poisonous and fake person by the parents.

All in all, this is a gem, and a great read. <<less

Characters are poorly fleshed out. We know basic information about everyone around the main character, yet their backgrounds or history are either rarely explored or not talked about. You can read dozens of chapters with the MC getting paid to act around this one guy, but can't describe anything beyond him being a young master who is in love the main character's persona of her sister. The main character is almost too calm or not caring about everything, and it renders a lot of interactions outside of acting... more>> in developing the story useless. I wouldn't say there's anything wrong with having an uncaring and calm main character in a story, but the problem is the lack of any meaningful character development for the main character in 100, 000/Hour Professional Stand-in
at all.

Another thing would be the main character's parents, who simply exist to hurl abuse at the main character (which is only around one or two lines of dialogue) and provide absolutely nothing of interest to the story. An example would be them being at the filmmaker's party that the main character is attending. Why are they at this party? We don't know. The author doesn't tell us. What are their thoughts after our main character is given VIP access to an area? We don't know. The author doesn't tell us. There is no worldbuilding behind the party either, other than the main character being invited by the filmmaker after posting some review, and is predictably going to be there to do business and networking. It feels shallow. There is no reward to the set up other than building a foundation for the main character's future wealth.

The author misses too many opportunites to make an interesting story.

Great translation by Hosted Novel though, I read some of their other stories on this same site. <<less

As mentioned in another comment, there are some small gaps or things that I personally find unnecessary or incongruous, but they are super insignificant things. Overall I loved this novel. I loved the MC's very direct and professional personality, his emotionless way of dealing with the secondary MLs and his consideration towards the main ML.

This story despite the fact that, like all good stories, always leaves a feeling that they could get more chapters out, it leaves me with a strange feeling of satisfaction and peace.

Although I am a little... more>> unhappy with the ending of one of the secondary MLs, I guess it has more to do with the fact that I am used to the fact that despite all the bad things an ML does in the novels, the LFs always tend to forgive them.

In short, I loved how the story unfolded, I loved FL and I loved the novel in general. <<less

I would say more 4.5 rather than 5 stars, the reason being that the issue of Shen Qi is never finished. That bit was left too vague. The rest of the subplots were mostly completed... certain bit like the MC’s age in her world, and other weird inconsistencies are easy to look over with so much going on. I was kept entertained and enjoyed the read. Great translations! Thank you!

I'm actually really surprised I haven't written a review for this one yet. It's a really good story, the author consistently keeps up their standard of translations and the author has made the plot flawless. The MC has an amazing sense of humor and the ML is a sweetheart. I think what I like best about it tho is how the OG came back to her world and the MC had left her a way out. She didn't just assume that everything would be fine and actually took the time... more>> to explain to the friends that 'she' had made that they were different people. That acknowledgement that she isn't the only one who matters in the world is what really made this a 5 star book for me. <<less

This was a fun read. A cliche transmogrification story where MC comes to a body of someone with the same name and face slapping ensues.

I liked the story, and the progression.

Sadly as we near the end the OP-ness of MC started to get a little crazy. She makes these crazy theories, these insane plans and as unlikely as they may be, all turn out to be as she planned. Towards the end it felt like the MC was the actual author of the novel and she was the one writing... more>> how things come to pass. <<less

I stumbled upon this by looking at the proactive protagonist tag and this did not disappoint as compared to the other novels I've recently read. The MC knows what she wants and doesn't care about what other people think and isn't that bothered by insults thrown at her. Her amazing prowess is slowly shown and she's pretty straightforward and smart ^^. She doesn't mix up work and her personal life and respects the original body owner like how she isn't qualified to forgive people that hurt og owner and og... more>> owner only.

The Villains in the story are pretty interesting too, they all have their pros and cons, and best of all is that all of them make me laugh.

Ending

Spoiler

At the ending shows the reason for them being able to switch bodies and the life they all lived afterwards which I really liked and there was also MC's romanctic life. I really expected her to stay single her whole life idk why. I wasn't a fan of the romance since I just love dogblood, not dogfood but I'm glad MC got her happy ending.

[collapse]

It was a nice read but it's probably not for people who're softhearted bc the end for the 'villains' (idk what to call them aside from this, so apologies if the word doesn't really suit those characters) are pretty cruel but well deserved. <<less

Finally finished reading 100, 000/hour professional stand in and it's such a breath of fresh air for a transmigration novel.

I love how MC doesn't take the original body for granted and draws a clear line between what belongs to her and what belongs to the original body.

She's 3 dimensional and while she isn't a kind person I would still consider her a good person. She draws the lines clearly, has her own morals, and stands by her word. She doesn't trick anyone or use underhanded means. Most of the villains... more>> dug their own holes and walked right into it.

Seeing scumbags get what they deserve and certain characters grow and develop into better people was so satisfying. ML was also just super adorable and 100% my type.

The author is also just a really brilliant writer. The story was well paced and the plot was really solid. The author is also really good at deeply analyzing a person's character and showing rather than telling. The way she used small details and actions to paint the MC's character was so vivid and just made you love her all the more.

10/10 this is now one of my favorite Chinese novels. <<less

Thank you for the great ride! This would be one of my fav besides 'Rebirth of the Evil Mother in Law' (novel), 'Cheating Men Must Die' (manhua) with the similar genre with this series. Yeah, this novel is unique ngl and I got fascinated of her way to control every man but still steadfast with her own principle, discipline & profesionalism. Of course her choice of spouse is great too, the loyal puppy

I think this story was okay but definitely not a re-reading material, at least for me. I love strong female lead type MC but I feel that MC in this story was a bit bland because she was the same from the start till the end without any character's development. And ML wasn't that remarkable and memorable either, even MC's fishes more stand out compared to him (especially Bai Zhou).

If you're wondering who was ML:

What an incredible MC!
I always feel like people end up using the 'cold/calm/charming protagonist' tags too casually. For example, if the protag is 'cool, calm and collected' ONCE in a story, or when facing ONE set of characters, that doesn't make it a core personality trait.
That's not the case with our MC here! ^^ she is consistent!

She is calm, she is charming. She is cool, she's pragmatic. I would not say she's ruthless, because she had some decent morals and she stuck them. uh, I take that back, I just remembered the endings of the scum men in the story. She's ruthless, to an extent where even I started feeling weak. (at least she wasn't a green tea bi—)

MC decided on a plan and she stuck to it till the end. Love that for her.
Author did a great job fleshing out the character personalities, even for the side characters. Character motivations were questionable.

Spoiler

The choice of villain was predictable, so I was a bit disappointed there. I would have liked the story to be a 1vE, instead of 1v1. The current villain could have made for an incredible decoy... but that would make it an entirely different story, so I'll leave that to ffic writers...

[collapse]

I'll be completely honest and admit that I found the ML inherently weaker after being acquainted with the MC for the entire novel. He pales in comparison, to a great extent.

Spoiler

I am not a fan of puppy love romances and that's what it felt like; the author may have tried to cover it up by saying "he looked more mature" but his actions proved that he's extremely childish. Also, their chemistry throughout the entire time they know each other is... meh. I treat my juniors, younger friends like that, in that oh my cute little kouhai way and it does NOT translate well into romantic feelings. Just no.

[collapse]

In conclusion, exceptionally strong story start and middle, comparatively much, much, much weaker ending.
In the most middle schooler terms: I DON'T think MC+ML=4eva; I feel like the MC will get bored relatively quickly.
Spoiler

The story arc with Shen Qi was a huge let down, I feel like he had a strong enough persona, strength, conviction to be with MC.

[collapse]

NGL, I'm thinking:
Spoiler

after MC gets over the ML, he's STILL gonna be there for her, so who's the real winner haa?

10/10 for the translations; the chapter cuts were well placed, they enhanced my reading experience.

I already finished the story and all I can say about the MC is ... more>>
Spoiler

She’s the type of person who always continue what she started until the end and do what she only promise. She’s not like any other protagonist that they will say ‘I will not be fall in love with any male leads’ but in the end they end up together.

I like MC like this and she has a similarity to my favorite character which is Ning Shu of ‘Quick Transmigration Cannon Fodder’s Record of Counterattacks’ I’m satisfied with both characters but of course there’s still a minor dissatisfaction about the novel.

There’s a one thing I have problem about the MC of this novel is that she’s too cold hearted but I still like it and I like how the guy characters falls in love with her.

In ‘Quick Transmigration Cannon Fodder’s Record of Counterattacks’ I’m not quite satisfied how the OG male leads in every arc didn’t fall in love with Ning Shu but I love her personality and her character.
