Su Yi has played many vicious female supporting roles such as a mistress, a witch, a villainess, and what not, earning the title, “National Villainess,” receiving quite a few haters.

The novel is so good, I really like the chemistry and trust between ML and FL. And the side characters are also interesting and the FL is so funny lol. Overall it's a very good novel, short but no so short.

It's so good! I love Su Yi's personality she's a queen. The sweetness are overflowing, I admire their relationship fr. Chu Ying is so husband material where I can find someone like him T^T get married soon pls.

So refreshing story, I love main lead's characters the most they're so cute together and how they handle things in their relationship and career seriously. The face-slapping is so satisfying. Would recommend.

Edit: Congrats to the newlyweds! May you both have peaceful, happy and wonderful life being husband and wife!

our FL is an actress content to be hated by her fans ‘cause it proves she acted well. She becomes interested and pursues the ML sincerely. Not stalker psycho pursuit. The ML is nice so you get her attraction. The main draw is the FL. The silly yet realistic things she does to entice her love without disrespecting herself are always fun. The world setting is a little shallow with the main characters being a bit like cardboard cut out OP CEO/actress stereotypes.

This was a really good story. I absolutely love the MC and ML. I love the fact that the MC chased him first and it was basically smooth sailing. I love that it was short and to the point and the author didn't drag things out like other stories. There were no unnecessary misunderstandings between them and it was so refreshing.

Cute, sweet, and satisfying with likeable and natural FL and ML. The romance is organic and enjoyable. I find myself grinning and smiling a lot! Recommended if you want a fluffy and satisfying romance with minimal annoyances ;)

Great, the MC is really likeable. The ML is likeable too. Relationship between them is great. The others aren't too interesting, and I don't think they will be in those little 28c.

Btw, it's a bit sad that it ends in only 28c since they still have much material to keep going.. Well it's ok. Good novel for now

A very dominating CEO? I've liked the premise and the few first chapters but I started to think the CEO uses his power too much The further I read the worse it got. I guess it's not my kind of book.

Enjoyable!! FL is such an oddball, a beautiful oddball. She's an actress that mostly acted as a villain. The ML is retired soldiers and now a successor of his family business. I really love FL's character in this story, very level headed, high EQ, and independent. She fell first and took a lot of initiatives. The ML also loves to strike while its hot, haha.

Unlike other novels where the chasing period is very interesting and then it goes downhill after main characters become a couple, thankfully its not the case... more>> for this novel. The plot is still as interesting and engaging, not to mention some steamy scenes (hihihihi).

The setting is cliche, but I totally recommend this novel if you are looking for a cute and steamy story with a light plot. <<less

A nice simple fluff read with no complicated side plots, just the happy story of an Actress pursuing her CEO.

The MC is an actress in her mid-twenties who is completely fine playing the secondary female in the shows she's in. Usually, she's the villain. This has led to a lot of actor-hate from fans but it bothers her very little. From this kind of actor-hate, she encounters the ML and immediately decides to pursue him. Some of her actions are childish at first but it's very clear that she's serious... more>> about the relationship with him.

Especially when we learn later in the story that this was not their first meeting. In fact, the ML rescued her during a mudslide when she was in her mid-teens and he was in his early twenties.

The ML is a CEO who has built his business on his own. Formerly he was in the army and has still maintained both the mentality and physique of a career soldier. At first, he did not have an interest in the MC but her personality quickly gets his attention. His interest is further piqued by her personality and tendency to help those around her instead of just watching as things happen.

An example was when she stood up for a bullied salesperson who just happened to work in the ML's mall. A customer wanted to return something (that was worn and then washed) and then proceeded to slap the salesperson when they refused. The MC jumped in and the ML happened to arrive and was told everything that happened.

The story is mostly sweet with them courting each other. There is no drama between them about other love interests or even road bumps for the pair to really deal with. However, some people try to get involved (such as the actor who tries to use the MC for hype and the "childhood friend" who tries to get an arranged marriage with the ML) but it's all fairly pointless. The story really is just about their happy dating life all the way to the marriage in the epilogue.

The actor got a lot of faceslaps and pretty much lost all of his credibility.

The "childhood friend" was someone the ML had completely forgotten about (I laughed so hard when he literally asked who she was when she showed up in front of him) and was trying to push for the marriage because it was the only way to save her family. It failed completely as the ML had zero interest in her and was already regularly pounding the MC.

The story moves pretty quickly but it's not so fast to make it feel like the story is a 'blink and you miss it'. For me, the only real issue is the MC's sister and nephew. The two were thrown in to show how bad her family life was but it just felt like it was tacked on. Still not enough for me to mark it below a 5 star but it was still odd.

Otherwise, it's a fun read for an evening. <<less

If you’re looking for something sweet, this is the right novel to read. There are storylines outside of the romance that weren’t explored that much and there were twists that I feel like weren’t necessary or needn’t be put but at the end of the day, I came for the romance and a very, very feel-good romance plot is what I got, so I think it deserves 5 stars. It’s impossible not to appreciate Su Yi and her personality and Captain Ying is just absolutely adorable as a lover.

I give it a 5 since it delivered more than what I expected from it. A very satisfying read, from beginning to end.

Story:

  • Nicely written
  • Short, casual read
  • Well balanced with the fluff, face slapping (more on revenge), and a little bit of mild angst
  • Situations are not dragged out
  • SFW (with some decently steamy scenes), though I secretly hope to have an NSFW version
Characters:

  • MC and ML are like mirror images of themselves: strong, fierce, independent, no-nonsense persons. Knows their weaknesses and strengths. You get what you give: ie gives kindness to those who deserves it, and bares their claws to those who also deserves it. They’re not shy about showing their affection to each other.
  • Initially, I thought I would get annoyed with the MC’s character (based on the novel’s “description”). Instantly changed on the first few paragraphs of the story. I love her no-nonsense attitude! I love how dedicated she is to her work. She considers the rants against the characters she plays as proof of how well she played the characters.
Conclusion: If you're looking for a short novel with romance, strong MC/ML, and decent face slapping (though I'd consider it more of a "revenge"-type of situations) ; I'd highly recommend reading this.

Thoroughly enjoyed reading this romance novel.

MC is an actress who is good at her job but often receives the villainess role so she often receives hate from her show viewers. She is however, actually a very cute person in reality! She is hot-tempered and when she’s mad she can be ruthless. She’s also stubborn and firm to her beliefs. Once she sets her mind on something, she doesn’t turn back. Like her deciding on the ML from the moment she sees him.

ML on the other hand, is a cold calm... more>> CEO but melts when he’s around her. He’s an army person and so, exudes the “don’t mess with me” vibe. I like how FL slowly breaks through ML’s defence and they both fall in love with each other.

I don’t get why her sister’s son needed to be in the story since it was so short. Even without, they could’ve provided drama for their relationship. Feels like the author just wanted some sob scenes and added the sister’s son in it.

The drama in the story wasn’t overbearing and there were appropriate faceslapping moments so that’s fun.

Felt bad for Wu Xue though.

Again, didn’t understand why there needed to be a cheating factor for the agent. Feels like alot of the drama happening is just to make us not be bored with the main leads romance but the drama is often brief and solved quickly.

Not much drama, no petty in-laws but leaves you wanting for more. Short and light. I really like Su Yi, she is really funny and smart. She knows her boundaries and does not blindly chase after Chu Ying. Bonus is that she is not dense and is actually a bit perverse 🤣. ML is not the typical overbearing CEO, too! He does things with consent and can be quite playful with FL.

I personally don't mind it but: the only problem you might have is how the author emphasizes the FL... more>> and ML's beauty. They mentioned their height 176 cm and 190 cm so much that I can't forget it! Also the frequent mentions of Chinese beauty standards common in CNovels but no blatant hate (or racism/colorism found in others). <<less

First off, I'm gonna praise Su Yi, our MC, to the high heavens.

Tough, aggressive at times, smart and at the same, cute and flirty without being excessive. She knows what she wants and she gets it, but not to the point of being b*tchy. Her character settings are suited for a villain and as a reader I usually hate this kind of girl but with her as a protagonist, I can only bow down to a queen. Lol I'm biased that way. Author, you gave me an MC I can... more>> worship and for this I'm giving it a 5. There's nothing I don't love on SY, her being real is just the kind I always hoped to read in a character. The ML is lowkey hot, too. Typical entertainment story but was made interesting by the MC herself. Thanks author and translators. <<less

first of all, I am usually lenient with translators. I know translating isn't easy so I am not going to harp on that but my enjoyment in this novel kind of soured with how hard it is to navigate through chapter by chapter using the translator's website. I feel somewhat bad for feeling this way but that's just how I am. I decided to read it elsewhere hoping to give the novel a fair chance.

Its a good novel if want a quick to reading of a lovey doves story. The story mainly force on the MC and ML and little bit of SC. It was well balance characters.

I kind of wish it was more deep into the MC job and ML job. It just talk but not details. The story was mostly about sns drama gossip rumors on Weibo. Also would been good if was smut. I guess to sum it up more idea for teen novels
