Office nerd Fu Shiwu’s life was turned upside down, but luckily for him, Tang Xuhai, his fierce and powerful neighbour whom he wasn’t exactly on good terms with, took him on a journey to escape.
But Fu Shiwu could never imagine that halfway through the escape, this unbreakable man turned out to carry a steel plate in his body, which brought on an infection and sent him into a deadly fever.
In order to save him, Fu Shiwu, a white-collar elite who couldn’t even restrain a chicken, had to bite the bullet and go all out on the unknown terror waiting outside.
In this apocalypse, people survived with all sorts of tricks.
By having IQ, having muscles, or hugging the right thighs!
In order to compete for resources and talents, they also had to exhibit their character, flaunt their morals and push their very limits.
Fu Shiwu and Tang Xuhai’s team would like to implicitly express that: They definitely had all the above “virtues”.
This is a story with zero rebirth, zero transmigration, zero system, but still the right amount of golden fingers to pave a new way for humanity.

Like the villain with the bombs, hardcore criminal who doesn't bluff; he meets the ML who's his ultimate rival and doesn't kill him after beating him up a lil, even when he has the perfect opportunity to off the entire group? He lets ML stay a night in jail and gives him ample opportunity to escape.
and then after the villain's death his city's people follow MC's group to another base. There's just no way such a huge number of people just started to tag along with no other considerations. ESPECIALLY since the lvl 3 monsters just dropped. The whole basis of the lvl 1 monsters was to attack humans that grouped up. And then ML decided to have everyone take a night's rest in the middle of the journey just to cheer up the MC??? No sense of urgency whatsoever. Then at the resort they decided to go fishing, with no knowledge of whatever was in the water and no caution about either...
also how can you say that the lvl1 monsters that terrorized humanity are now getting chased, and killed by ramming the car into them?? Like come on smh
It would have been better to keep it vague instead of trying to make it hard Sci-Fi when the writer obviously isn't versed enough in biology/technology. The story has an okay start and middle, but around chapter 100 it gets more and more convoluted/silly. They are besieged by overpowered aliens, train like madmen, nearly die several times, and yet they get into love-rival drama with people trying to up each other to woo MC.
Humanity is facing annihilation and grown men who needed 100+ chapters to realise they are in love waste time and energy on courting, including fancy dates, following each other around, etc. I might have finished it if the writer didn't start with this nonsense that breaks immersion by being too unrealistic - on top of everything else. MC is the most special person on the planet, everything that happens is suspiciously convenient and the team overly lucky, they always encounter super important stuff that happens to be of great use for the military.
They are heroes, always and constantly, no one else is more powerful or cleverer. It's basically an American movie, and that's not what I signed up for when I picked a Chinese novel, or any proper apocalypse/Sci-Fi story. Popcorn entertainment, try it if you are into that, if not, read something else.
