The reason I rated this novel 5/5 overall so far is because of the world building, the plot, the romance, the characters, and more. It has actually put the MC cultivation into worlds builds how he can figure it out and progress further than his starting point though his experience and own hard work. I give the plot about 4/5 because the plot gets a bit repetitive but that’s what is going to happen when you have a silly little dense protagonist and a shyish ml. The romance is 10/5 because I love the way that they are starting to communicate and actually accept the fact that they like each other. The plot builds and adds onto the romance with the angst and hope and the confusion of the protagonist in regards to his original world because he has not idea how he got there and even if he is dead. While the protagonist is pretty silly and dense he still tries to make rational judgements including the fact that if you had a script for a world you were dropped in and no clue how to go home then follow the script to the end and once it ends you might go home. The characters are great, 5/5, while silly at times they have been developed and made realistic. They have insecurities, fears, vulnerabilities and they also have hopes, goals, and the drive to figure out how to achieve their goals. Overall if you want to read a fluff/angst tsundere villain and shy hero cultivation novel this is a pretty good one. At least so far :p. <<less

I don't like it. Su Yang (MC) was okay for the first 10 or so chapters until I realized he's bit dense. There are plot holes everywhere and the minunderstading does not make logical sense at all. It's very force, practically for the ML to notice MC.

Gu Feidi (ML) still does not feel like a main character (at the point of my reading). He is so plain, indistintive, not a single thing about him stand out except for the fact that I was told he is the MC, not to... more>> mention he is veryy illogical and inconsistence too. Beside I don't feel the chemistry at all between the lead, everything is just very forceful and everyone is so expectable and generic. The writing does not help, it throws the infos too literal on the reader's head.

One tiny things that I shouldn't really mention because it's very tiny and does not effect the plot, but I still do want to mention because it irks me is the part where MC insisted that he was just a small part in the original drama and the drama itself solely focus on the ML FL & Second Male Lead (which wasn't him) but then the drama literally is called Arch-Rivals. I know it's tiny but this kind of thing happen everywhere in this novel.

I haven't got to the romance part yet, I couldn't confirm if the romance is worth sticking through the entire plot hole, but I already feel nothing toward the ML so I really doubt. <<less

I really loved the beginning of this novel, it had all the elements to become one of my favorites, but it fell a little short in its progression towards the end. I just wanted a lot more out of this novel than it gave me.

I don't know why, but this is a very dense read for me and I can only handle reading 5-10 chapters at a time before taking a long break. The characters are good, the world-building is great, but I just can't binge it like I do with others. It might have to do with how I read spoilers so I'm subconsciously dreading when the heavy plot will kick in, since the parts I enjoy most are the more lighthearted arcs. Still a good story.

I thought tis was alright but not a 4.5 kinda novel. The characters I feel are not very well developed, I dont feel the personalities coming out. Story was expected, so all in all I would only gv this 3.5

I love this novel, the sweetness and lovey-dovey is right up my alley. It's exactly how I prefer everything! Not to mention it's a HE, don't worry about the plot - although it's quite good, you only have to enjoy dogfood being fed to you!

This is a good one! From the pacing, to the character development, their background story, and even the side characters are so interesting! There are plenty of side couples, mostly mxm couples, but bxb couples are the main ones in the novel. This novel does a good job of creating suspense and lead us on to think. It was a good novel but I did not like the ending. It was too teeth rotting sweet and the main characters got too many cheats by the end (like fire gu, all those manuals and new born system). But still goes to my good stuff list (though it was btw ok and good but when it comes to my rating here I am rather generous unlike at goodreads, haha).

The story is really good. They legitly are the married couple in the story. Dem, sugar, spice and everything noice. Aaaaa, there's plot, there's comedy and action. So please sure do try the story it's really great!

This is a world focused more on strength than intelligence so there weren't really many opportunities to see his IQ level HAHAHA but he ain't dumb huhu, ML Gu Feidi is literally a young master who has learned everything that needs to be learned and he is strong and I love him too. 💕 This, this was sooo good, so relatable, so cute, and had a good plot, there's action too. It also ain't that sad, just the right amount of sadness that will make you hooked in the story cause it isn't as simple as you thought it would be. I love their wholesome love and trust for each other. I like that the 'side couples' aren't overpowering the main couple like other novels. The plot is also deep which I honestly didn't expect. I also didn't expect it to have sad scenes but it a really good surprise, you can really tell that Su Yang is still from the modern world, and being there for just a few months or years doesn't necessarily make him completely forget where he came from. I like how although there were misunderstandings, it wasn't done long term? They were able to clear it up at the right time without really affecting them too much which is good cause some misunderstandings are just kept for too long and are too far-fetched.

This is such a sweet story for the most part and one of the most seamless transmigration stories. The Purpley translation is fantastic, too!

This was more serious and engaging than I had expected it to be.

The world-building is even better than some long-running wuxia novels. If this was an actual novel focused on cultivation, I'd gladly read thousands of chapters for it.

The MC's behaviour was also unique compared to other transmigration novels. I feel like it was definitely how a normal person would react. The adjustment period definitely wouldn't be glossed over like how it usually is done in other novels.

Their relationship was also pretty good and unexpectedly a bit more mature than... more>> other CPs with this kind of setting. No creepy dubcon yandere stuff going on. Just two men falling in love despite opposing circumstances.

Of course it wasn't too dramatic either and had fluff and comedy scattered here and there in the midst of abuse. The overarching mystery was also not dragged out and slowly unfolded in a just-right pace.

I cant bring myself to read completely. The MC is so annoying like "FOLLOW THE PLOT BLA BLA BLA" when what he does is destroy every plot. That I dont understand, from where he think "oh, I can go home if I follow the plot ans die in the hand of protagonist" maybe that got skipped by my eyes.

There are some plot holes but the ML, Gu Feidi make me read this until the end! He is so sweet and loyal. The MC sometimes annoying and unreasonable but I like his determination.

Dragon Sabre and Heavenly Sword make it BL with a sprinkle of transmigration.

I love it. This book is absolutely hilarious and I enjoy both the MC and the ML, and I especially relish their personalities. If I do have one complaint however, it's that this book gives me a lot of second-hand embarassment, courtesy of our dear MC.

I like it! It's pretty good, sweet, and the storyline pretty light. Some plot hole and unreasonable settings, but it doesn't make the story bad. Give it a chance.

MC&ML didn't fall in love at the first sight. They have they own mind to judge each other. But after knowing each other, they honest enough with their feeling. They get along very well and fair. Rumors, illness, family, life and death, they can face it, get hurt and solve them together. Really enjoyed this! While it starts out fairly lighthearted and funny, definitely takes a turn for more serious and intense as they deal with sect conflict and trying to save the MC. I was hooked on not just trying to figure out how they would save the MC, but also about the backstory of what happened to their parents. The romance is very sweet - ML is so devoted to taking care of MC and willing to do whatever he can to save him.
