I usually don't write reviews but I felt I had to because this novel is really too good to remain so underrated. Everything about it, from the main CP to the side characters to the mystery to the lore to the story was just really good.

And while I love the main CP to death I think what really sealed this novel for me were the characters around them. Often, side characters are treated as air and basically just there as props to make the main CP look good in bl... more>> novels but in this.. the characters felt fleshed out and their individual stories were so intriguing. All characters had their own stories and aspirations and watching them all grow along the way alongside the main CP just felt really good.

And getting back to the main CP. I can't even express in words just how well suited and how much chemistry they had. From the early days of sort of 'enemies' bickering to the later days of lovers still... bickering (lol) I thoroughly enjoyed their dynamics and the subtle changes of their relationship as they started to care for each other. There wasn't a sudden earth shattering "omg I love this person" kind of moment, it was all subtle but I think that's what makes it all the more better. And I loved that from beginning to end, their core characteristics remained the same. The shou was still a powerful, downright annoying, wouldn't know the word humble if it hit him in the face menace lol. And the gong still remained the powerful, aloof, clean freak and yet by the end you could see the subtle changes that their relationship and side characters instilled in the both of them.

I think my one and only complaint would be that I wished we knew more about the villain than just the little excerpt we got when everything was revealed. To me, the villain was a very interesting person and had a presence throughout the story even without being there. But I would have loved to know more. Though what we did get was so interesting to me, it shows just how good the author is at writing their characters.

All in all this was a really great read that I would definitely revisit in the future. The characters are all so dear to me and I am very glad for the 103 chapters we got with them. <<less

This novel is so so good. If you like MXTX's works then I would also recommend this. It's so easy to get attached to characters in this novel. I love all of them. But the time the ending came around, I was so happy because these characters hot their happy ending. I was almost crying. Really good novel.

While I do have some criticisms here and there but overall it's such a solid novel. One day when I forget the plot, I'll reread again just for the joy of discovering these... more>> characters again. <<less

Oh my God. I finished this story in 3 days. Once I picked it up I couldn't put it down. The dynamic of the two main characters were hilarious and their love also happened very naturally. The side characters were also unforgettable. Ever since I finished the story I feel empty. Like I wanna read more. I was reading the translation of suibian subs but I couldn't wait and went ahead read tongqiankanshi's translation since they fully translated it. But I'd recommend suibian subs more. I think I'm gonna read... more>> suibian subs' translation again as soon as they start posting because this novel is just worth reading twice. Even though I have to admit that the villain of this story couldn't leave a strong impact on me. I was kind of expecting a bigger picture? The villain to be extra bad? Strong? But overall I couldn't find any big plot holes. The story flows naturally and it felt like I was living inside this story's universe when I was reading it. <<less

Fantastic story. Great main characters and beautiful interaction between the two. The development of the side characters and their interactions with the main characters were excellent. The story is very enjoyable and exciting- once you pick it up, you don't want to put it down anymore. The author also provided a landing for the side characters which was beautiful.

Translator did an A+++ job, but the supernatural stuff was still a little hard to follow sometimes. Background stories were all pretty angsty tbh but it was very satisfying how the extras wrapped them up. Character dynamics were hilarious too lol, there was a paragraph that described the relationship perfectly somewhere,

emotional rollercoaster. Plot and chemistry so soo good. I got easily drawn in the story. There were just some minor scenes that confused me because some translations didn't translate very well and the feeling was little bit lacking but im grateful for anything and it ain't much of a problem for me. Anyways, I wish there were more ~ checking more works from musuli from now on~~

Really loves this story. MC and ML both really great characters. Sometimes I feel like the cold expressionless ML can be a boring trope, but in this story his deep feelings still come through.

The translation from tongqiankanshi was steller. Good read all around.

Well organized, nicely written character dynamics (side characters aren't ignored). Nice and stable fantasy with consistent characterizations. Instead of some epic journey and drama and self growth, it's more like you are following them get to their expected destination.

I think this is a 3.5 for me, because I like a little more of something

Xue Xian is a shameless, and for that to deny it; it is his greatest charm. And if you do not like the protagonists of sharp language, then it is also your novel; Xianmin is righteousness and neatness in person.
The journey of these two is full of many other companions, and all of them you will end up loving; almost all. If something is loose in this novel is certainly the antagonist, but, honestly, it does not matter much, not that it comes out much (). Our partner is just enough to have a good read with an entertaining story and a "cute" partner (no other adjective suits them so well).
If you like soft stories but with plot, and a touch of magic and love, it is a reading that will not waste your time.

A very good read.

If ur here for drama and romance then you probably won't like it. I wouldn't call the plot raging and exciting either.

On the other hand, if you like a good read with mild but very interesting plot, good writing skills and comedy and horror, very good character writeups, then this is perfect.

Finished and Will write a more complex review later after I'm done with class, but this is really a pretty damn good novel!

The characters are rich and has been explored and given screen time. The main couple are extremely sweet! I don't know what others are talking about when they say that the romance felt forced, as even in the beginning, I saw small little clues that will lead to our current development either way.

The story is so incredible and made me cry a few times while reading it

what I really like about this danmei are the characters (not only the main characters but also the side and minor characters) and their stories. Also the plot was perfectly crafted, I love how there are details in the plot that may seem insiginifcant at first glance but held a major part as the plot slowly unveils. And also the way the author ends the story arcs... sighs... that beautiful poetic touch in the writing... more>> when an arc is coming to end is one thing that I really love when I'm reading this novel.

The story of Lu Nianqi and Shijiu really made me cry. I'm really happy that Shijiu was reincarnated and Lu Nianqi met him again. Also Jiang Shining, one of my favourite characters, I'm glad he was also reincarnated.

A well-written story that is definitely worth a read. The chapters aren't too long, so binge-reading will probably take about 2-3 days.

There were many funny and memorable side characters and I also loved the healthy relationship the main characters had in the end.

However, I'm not a big fan of the whole dragon spit thing. It seemed more like an easy way to get the two together, instead of just, you know, letting the feelings develop slowly and more naturally.

I've never written a review for a book before but I will now.

First off copper coins is my 9th Danmei and it had been on my reading list for well over a year, I was hesitant to read it cause the reviews I read didn't really talk high on it but the person who recommended it really liked it so I decided to read it.

The plot building happens very slowly so you have to be willing to sit down or lie down and read it.

Xuanmin character appears cold and aloof... more>> but you eventually and up loving him especially when makes sarcastic remarks towards xue xian, he reminds me so much of lan zhan from mdzs. I really loved his character

Xue Xian is definitely wei ying love child 😭😭, he's genuinely so funny and watching go from trying to run away from his bald donkey to wanting to save him was so wholesome. He is definitely a mood and I promise you will like his character.

The side characters were also funny to read and follow along all in all copper coins is such a good read.

Some people might say it was rushed towards the end but I personally didn't feel that way the pacing was beautiful, and this ending chapters had me like awwwnnnn I really love xuanmin and xue Xian.

If your wondering if you should read this you definitely should, it so worth it. <<less

Love it. I love the Xue Xian, he's so unrestrained. The ML seems too aloof for the most parts but let's take it as a part of CN novels. It is original. Tbh, I wasn't expecting it to turn out this good.

A disabled dragon, a ghost, a blind seer, and an amnesiac monk went on an adventure and it was a fun story

This book is more of a supernatural mystery than it is a romance. In fact, there are almost zero romantic vibes until the end, so if you are looking for fluff or angst (depending on your romance preferences), you won’t find them here. Instead you will find a band of misfits who set out for revenge and end up saving the world

I don’t know why but after reading the happy ending I couldn’t stop crying. It almost made me feel nostalgic. Great plot, good pacing, interesting characters, and the romance wasn’t focused on much but it also wasn’t put on the backburner, the author did a good job balancing the main story with the growing romance between Xue Xian and Xuanmin. I only have praises for this novel.

Definitely a novel I would love to have on my bookshelf. I wouldn’t mind re-reading it every so often.

Shameless, hilariously arrogant MC in search of his dragon bones x cold mysterious and amnesiac monk ML. What a great pair!

Starts off light-hearted and cute in tone, soon becomes intense and angsty particularly in the last third of the story. A fantastic read, with both hilarious and heart wrenching moments interspersed throughout the story.
