Lin Feilu, or better known by her nickname—Green Tea Princess, was the best of all the scheming b*tches that the world had ever seen. She was the Oscar-winning actress among the masses with real life as her stage. Acting coy, slandering, feigning innocence, or playing the saint, she aced it all. Simply put, she was the proverbial villainess.

Ah, but retribution came way too early for this malicious personage and she died on her 27th birthday.

In death, Lin Feilu reflected on her career of 20 years as the Green Tea Princess. She was full of regret and remorse over the life she once led. She vowed, if there was an afterlife, she would atone for her misdeeds and be a good person.

She transmigrated into a five-year-old princess of the Dalin Dynasty. In the name of family, she had a sickly mother disfavoured by the emperor, a mentally challenged and daft older brother.

I absolutely LOVE this novel! First of all, it focuses very little on the romance which only occurs later in the novel and after the FL comes "of age" in ancient China settings. It is more on some harem politics, royalty hierarchy and throne-grabbing fights, and familial relationships! The best part of this novel is how FL forms bonds with her new family, her brothers and sisters. It is a very enjoyable read.

Basic premise: FL transmigrates into a 5 year old unfavoured princess with an ill mother and autistic older... more>> brother. Due to the brother being 'a fool', her Emperor father hates them and they're suffering and bullied by the harem and others. In order to have a better life, FL will interact with her other royal brothers and sisters to get a more favourable outlook on her family. She also schemes against other concubines who attempt to harm her family. FL doesn't have much power as a child so she uses connections to forge support.

About the family:

There is an attempted su*cide scene so be careful. It occurs at the middle of the novel.

I do pity Xi Xiangjing for being the 2nd ML. Tbh I liked him a lot and wanted FL to waver between him and ML. But author really absolutely already wrote many times that FL adores ML (from crush to love etc) and never gave 2nd ML any leeway. Wanted to read an extra about him finding hus own happiness but I guess he is just cannon fodder since he disappears after his use.

Not only Lin Nianzhi or their royal father. The FL too!! She likes ML because of his looks first and wants to spoil him which in turn over time leads to her liking him more and more lol.

ML is mildly yandere to me. He exudes the gentle smile but inside he's hella dark and good at scheming. Possessive and I think if MC wasn't willing or went with 2nd ML more, the ML might've forcefully taken her away. He gives off thar vibes. He is only able to restrain himself since she's in his arms. Otherwise I don't think this would be a fluffy novel.

I never thought I'd be this entertained reading about the social lives, relationships and day-to-day stuff of a bunch of fictional characters. This is a 3.5 but I gave it a 4 for sheer enjoyment value. I enjoyed this author's other work and decided to pick this up and was very pleasantly surprised.

This isn't like what is advertised on the summary page at all!!! I thought it was gonna be about a yandere (black-bellied) heroine being manipulative in a court setting, but it was nothing like that. This is a... more>> story about a clever, quick-witted, and lively girl who has quite a way with people, and a compassionate heart under her tough talk. She starts out saying she is 'manipulating' others but is actually making their lives better through her unconventional ideas and ways. She brings people together and brings warmth and fun into the lives of many lonely characters, and she is like the glue holding everyone together.

This is the epitome of fluff, comedy and feel-good, and it was sooo wholesome to read about how she cheers people up or makes their lives happier. Lots of comedic moments abound, and even 'evil' characters are converted to good. I grew to really care for all the side characters and rooted for their happiness too.

There is a romance but it is very slowburn and starts around ch85-ish of a 108 chapter book. The romance arc was imo rather rushed. I came for the romance but would rather have read more about the platonic relationships instead - that's where this story really shines.

There is not much of a plot, and the little plot there is is predictable, but I enjoyed this feel-good and absolutely wholesome story. <<less

This story is really a masterpieces😍

I love it very much. I love Lin Feilu character as a green tea princess. The relationship between her and her brothers is so warm and interesting ☺. The relationship with the ML also very good and calm.

Really recommended!

Super cute MC, she was never truly a villainess, just schemed to get a better life for her family and other loved ones. Loved how she gave her fellow imperial children some badly needed family warmth and of course dealt with the nasty ones with a surprisingly low body count so far. As another reviewer mentioned, kudos to the author for not miraculously ‘curing’ her brother’s mental handicap, but teaching him how to get by to the extent of his mental capacities. Only dislike is that the translators have split... more>> the chapters so I’ve no idea how far along the story really is. <<less

Uhh when I was surveying new novels to read, I saw this one so I'm giving review rn because even after a long time I still remember its special points^^ I really had liked how the green tea essence could be used professionally in surviving :D literally it had changed the imperial family's life and you can guess from a lot of chinese historical novels how hard it was. There were several adorable moments with his brother (from same mother) he was really innocent too~~

Funny and interesting read. So far so good. I really2 love it. I was hooked from the start. I love the plot, a lot of really2 cute kids interaction. Cuteness overload! (Cuteness = "two buns"😁)

Highly recommended! U wont regret it. Has the right amount of everything : humor, emotional scenes, revenge

5 stars to both author n translator. Tqsm for a great read💐

Cant wait for the next chapters!

Hello, hello, I'm so amused by this novel that I write a review (even tho i've only on ch 17)

I love this kind of real villain. Yes, green tea b*tches are very qualified villainess, IMO.

Our little FL is capable enough to be a conman, and those conned would even help her count the money, lol.

Quick paced and not overly descriptive, this is right up my alley. Amazing job of translation, thank you a gazillion times for Jolly Mae & Spirit Song, you are my heroes!

I finished reading this. It's a chill read compared to other scheming ancient life in the harem.

It's okay. MC just acts lovable to her siblings and uses psychology to make them like her. She schemes pretty well for a "child." I guess... I just didn't like how the author wrote the ending. The ML suddenly grows up to become a tyrant. I mean, I can understand why he became a tyrant, BUT the author brushed through his personality throughout the story. So, that was a disappointment in my opinion. Also... more>> I found it a bit strange how the MC's siblings all love her so much especially in this kind of environment. I just felt like character growth was somewhat lacking for most part. <<less

The characters and story development are built well. Such a adorable MC. The highlight of this novel ain't romance but familial love. I love how MC conquered her brothers and sisters, and all her extended family.

Lin Ting who have a calm, introverted and animal loving personality, have been pushed by his mother to enter the Throne battles. That takes tool on his mental health and he almost died by su*cide, if he was not saved by Lin Feilu. Then Lin Feilu take care of him, even pleaded their Imperial Father to let them both have 'healing' journey outside the capital

(For some reason I accidentally put it 3 stars but I meant this to review in 5 stars!!)

Such a great read. The novel isn't too complicated because the entire thing is all about our MC's childhood and her growing up. It's more lighthearted reading (a little bit of serious stuff like mental health in which they really didn't shy on talking about it in the novel, and some other event stuff) than your usual heavy villainess story. Her childhood took most of the novel but I didn't... more>> mind because it's very refreshing and fun to read. What I like about this novel is that it doesn't follow the norm of MC making enemies to all females and have all males dote on her. Instead, she befriends everyone except some insignificant people that's purely evil. This novel is about familial love and she technically helped raise her brothers and sisters with compassion and love instead of making an enemy out of them.

Our ML is a gentle, benevolence prince who accepted our MC's kindness. He can be cruel but only to those corrupted ones. ML is basically our MC's best friend and her sweetheart since childhood. He knew what MC is like but he still treat her with honesty.

Overall, this novel is about her life, how to survive and how she shows people compassion and love instead of vengeance and hateful using her green tea personality. Readers might think she's manipulative due to her nature but that's how she survives for her family and at the end of the day, she really cares for the people she turn to her side.

My favorite is her relationships with her siblings. It's really heartwarming. Just so you know, this novel doesn't have much scenes of MC and ML comparing with her and her siblings until the end. The novel is definitely refreshing because we get to see how the author really put importance of the familial love in the entire series. <<less

Among all the similar genre i've read, this one has loving parents, doting siblings, not like the typical dogblood about the throne and all.

I like how the FL and ML established their love story.

How the FL befriended everyone.

There's no females wandering around ML, and arrogant boys around FL, while there is this General XI, he is just a cute one a little lesser than the ML.

Light, fluffy story. If your tired of too many scheming and killing and all, this one is na easy read 114 chapters in mtl.

All her brothers love her as well as the King, the empress dowager, even the concubines in the palace, (the living ones).

She'll mary the ML who became the King of Song Kingdom. Had a son as the eldest and then twin girls. The ML abdicated as soon as the crown prince turned 17 so that the ML and FL can wander around.

A good read.

Solid ⭐⭐⭐⭐!

The plot is nice, the beginning was fun then as the novel progressed it got deeper and deeper. But near the end it became a bit more relaxing.

I just hope that the author will make some extras for some characters.

This was a pretty interesting read, but it still didn't escape the cliche of her marrying a prince who becomes an emperor still but whatever. Overall the story itself was good, there are happy moments, cute moments, and even sad moments.

Was it sweet, yes relatively sweet, I felt that there was a bit much on time skipping tho, not that I expect full details of every year as she grew up, but it just leaped over a few years that could use a bit more fleshing out.

I still wonder bout... more>> the relationship with her 2nd brother, since it starts off bad but the author never got into details about it, just kinda glossed it over like they didn't get along, but tbh with the initial impression of that 2nd prince it doesn't seem like something that should be left out imo. He seems like the kind of person who is not likely to let anything go but o well.

Other than that, it was a pretty good read. <<less

Some said the noble is Bland... well yeah kind of its sweet at first but honestly, I ship the MC more with General Xi... the ML is so dull to me and the MC acting all cutesy makes me gave ip the rest of it. On top of that, the Martial Arts part are all unbelievable and doesn't match the girls personality at all cause she started acting like a baby at the end of the story, like seriously?! This should be 3 stars can't edit the rating though..... more>> nevermind <<less

Its very good so far. Right now it is so fluffy, whereas a lot of other novels make you unable to put the novel down due to the anxiety, stress, and unease it stirs up within you, this one there doesn't seem to be any real threat.

My main complaint is that it is so short, it only took about 2 hours of reading from the start to get current, and it seems the release schedule isn't very fast either. Patreon only gets you another 5 chapters, so another 10 minutes... more>> of reading.

Surprisingly, the webnovel seems to only be 117 chapters, so I am interested to know how it will end so quickly. <<less

I love love love this novel. Lin Feilu's adventure is such an interesting one. We get to see her use her knowledge about how people work to better her life. I loved seeing the transformation she makes within that circle and how it leads things to the better, for both the people involved, specifically the children. Its a much more heart warming story than I expected (although of course there's the necessary faceslapping) as I grew fond of a lot of the characters.

I definitely reccomend trying this. <<less

Such a great novel ;v; just finished the last chapter and currently crying a river. The story is nice and fluffy and I love how this story is about family. Although set in the royal palace, this is so heartwarming. If anything, the romance was a bit rushed but it can be forgiven since it's a short novel.

I was running out of light Chinese novels and I am pretty happy to have found this one!!! It is a fun reading without much heavy intrigue, can't wait for the next chapters!

It is important to add that the TL is pretty good, they are doing a really good job so far and have been explaining everything, so a new reader of Chinese novels certainly can keep up!
