Chu Yu was good-looking and had a good family background. Despite being male and an irredeemable slacker, he was still elected as Jianing Private School’s school flower by an overwhelming number of votes.

The whole school knew that Chu Yu was on bad terms with the second year’s top student who’d won so many awards from various competitions that his hand had gone limp with exhaustion just from holding them. He was the cold, restrained, taciturn, and indifferent to anyone school grass, Lu Shi.

That was until one certain day after school, when someone saw Chu Yu amongst the trees behind the school building, pulling on the sleeves of the study god’s white shirt while speaking pitifully, “Lu Shi, give me a bite, I’ll be gentle.”

Lu Shi put his finger in Chu Yu’s mouth. “It doesn’t matter if it hurts a little.”

I enjoyed this story quite a bit.

It's kind of one of those stories that ends with a feeling that this is just a moment in their lives and it's not like over yet. However, there is nothing else to read.

Overall, it's a bit of a dark and sad story mixed with a bit of falling in love slice of life about folks who are rather sad and not so stable. Which idk was a nice mixture somehow. <<less

I really enjoyed reading this and god the MC and ML are just so freaking good to each other. Are they a little unhealthy and clingy... yes, but not the point where they end up hurting the other in any way. the ML also has some dark thoughts (but I like that in a ML hehe). If anything their love for the other makes them stronger.

Do I wish I got a little more closure regarding certain aspects of both MC and MLs lives... absolutely. But ultimately, I'm left feeling content... more>> by the time I finished this novel and dammit they are just too freakin' cute to me! <<less

Ahhh, this is a real gem... very well written and translated. School romance with a beautiful, shameless, lazy and adorably narcissistic 'vampire' MC x a school-genius rebellious-punk yandere ML. Even though MC needs blood to survive, this is not a vampire tale and MC is not keen to know whether he is one or not. The emphasis is not on vampires but on the protags' school life and their relationship development. MC's exclusive need for ML's blood brings the 2 together in a very special way, beneficial to both their... more>> fragile psychology. Both are estranged from their parents and both suffer serious abandonment issues. Their relationship dynamic is very interesting and I like how author portrays their 'symbiotic' relationship. I loved their interactions, their romance, their temperament, their obsession, ML's yandere personality and MC's funny narcissism. They are surrounded by a good cast of helpful and supportive friends. I wish there was a sequel about them enjoying their university life! <<less

one of my all time favorites (づ ᴗ _ᴗ) づ♡ the novel threads a thin line between heartwarming and heartwrenching. There were moments which made me unconsciously grin but again, there were also stuff so dark and captivating that made my heart drop. It is kinda addicting. I don't even know how the author made the dynamics work out like it wouldn't take much for it to flop.

amazing read, would reccomend 10/5. Also some people point out loopholes such as chu yu having sudden change of diet with no explanation... more>> of how or why but that wasn't the point?? For me it was more symbolic. The rest is for u to figure out. I mean does everything in life have explanation and clean ends to all??

In the beginning, I think that this novel taste heavy, but actually not. And I too think that the protagonists need to see psychiatrist, but they heal each others in the end.

Till the end, author made this without solves many problem, such as what happen with MC's mom after he confront her? Why author reveal about some neighbor student death because of stress, too much pressure coz of study, and MC's friend study too much just to made us worry, but to no fail none happen

I loved this book. The characters were very elaborate and I found the character development to be very realistic. I wish Chu Yu and Lu Shi a lifetime of happiness together. I'll miss them so much. The only takeaway for me was that I would love to see more drama with Chu Yu's family. Overall, this book is 5 stars and I would definitely reread it.

Love this especially when ml’s dark personality is being focused on. MC is such a lovable character too.

Last chapter didn’t feel like the end that I thought there were still more chapters.

It's one of my favourite novel.

It's about MC who suddenly craves for blood. And only ML's blood.

ML kinda have a bad past related to his blood. That's why he goes all crazy, yandere when he learn about MC's problem with blood.

It's not that dark. There's also some fluffy stuffs in this novel.

I love both ML and MC. They are cute, hehehe....

5 stars for the novel and 5 stars for the translator. I don't know if I am being greedy or what but I hope translator will update more. ^_^

For the story, it's not that bad although it kind of bland, sometimes I feel like the author rushed to write the novel, like there's no explanation about why MC become a vampire, and why he only can drink ML blood. At first I thought the MC become a vampire because one of his parents a vampire too or at least their great grandparents are the same kinds then his mother will tell him the secret or something about why he become a vampire. But no there's no explanation at... more>> all, it just come out of nowhere that he become a vampire and he become depressed about it 😐

The romance kinda slow for a short novel, but yeah ML really possessive and MC really like that kind of feeling, but in the end MC also showing his possessiveness side too. It maybe looks cute because they really went through a lot so they depends on each other to stay alive, especially for ml.

Although I'm really dissatisfied with the ending because there's really no extra or anything about their future plan or something but it's still a decent good ending. <<less

This has been very good so far. It's sweet and has some cannon fodder face slapping; which I love in a novel. The translation/ editing has been well done and I really enjoy reading this.

Fun and captivating read.

Enjoyable cast and youthful shenanigans. I appreciate not blindly making every student genius and diligent. AND letting students date. Some dramas insist on not letting high school students date and it's so forced by now. Young people in this novel are reckless, dishonest, plays around, does s*upid things for love.

ML is really broken inside, but he doesn't hurt innocents and doesn't abuse MC. He holds MC in high regard, supports his choices, helps him wholeheartedly. MC-ML have a... frankly sick love, but it fits their situation perfectly.... more>> They are crazy for each other, but this crazy actually saved them, a productive yandere love. Sometimes their exclusivity and mutual ownership can be very cute.

Like when ML tattooed himself with MC's name because he doesn't want anyone else to touch his name. Then MC also asked to be tattooed with ML's name.

Though MC's a bit naive and lets things be, he will always bother to think a lot about ML. He finds out by himself that ML craves being needed, and uses his claim on ML's blood and life to stop his self-harm.

There're few blanks in the story that I wish could have been explored; like

    • more about their future, PLEASE
    • more siblings interactions would be nice
    • will ML ever going to get professional help?
    • why can MC only drink ML's blood?
    • more about the vampire bloodline.
Because of those blanks, MC feels sidelined and things that happened to him feels like a plot device. I think of Blood Bank and Paid webtoon, or novels like Paper Lover here, the characters do not necessarily need to know everything, but we should still get some closure, like legends or hints?

The vampire bloodline is so mysterious. MC-ML really have to look into it more in case it has downsides in the future. What if one day they wake up and MC gets vampire skin? or he hibernates? His family is still around, please investigate!!! Why does ML just let this possibility of danger just hang over their heads? There are things worse than death! MC can still talk to his siblings, he doesn't have to cut relationship with his whole family. <<less

A super amazing novel with a slightly unusual plot... WHICH I LOVED!

Lu Shi is a very possessive gong, who wants Chu Yu to rely on him alone. However! He does not force Chu Yu into anything, so dont worry about that.

I did kinda want a few extras to get a look into their situation after the ending, but that's not mandatory. <<less
