Lin Feilu, or better known by her nickname—Green Tea Princess, was the best of all the scheming b*tches that the world had ever seen. She was the Oscar-winning actress among the masses with real life as her stage. Acting coy, slandering, feigning innocence, or playing the saint, she aced it all. Simply put, she was the proverbial villainess.

Ah, but retribution came way too early for this malicious personage and she died on her 27th birthday.

In death, Lin Feilu reflected on her career of 20 years as the Green Tea Princess. She was full of regret and remorse over the life she once led. She vowed, if there was an afterlife, she would atone for her misdeeds and be a good person.

She transmigrated into a five-year-old princess of the Dalin Dynasty. In the name of family, she had a sickly mother disfavoured by the emperor, a mentally challenged and daft older brother.

Her life was constantly in danger, with having little to eat and trying to stay warm.

The romance isnt really the main draw but it is okay. Our ML has an interesting set up but he devolves into a borderline yandere. Characterization in general is weak. What keeps drawing me back is how a woman who in her first life was without family love manages to engage and draw her siblings into a true family. Her affection started off as survival but became very sincere. Even as they all grow older and the fight for the throne heats up her affection for them stays strong. Its a little weak that almost everyone likable likes her back. But the author sells it. The main reason I enjoy the romance is I can 100% see why a boy who had no familial love in his life would become obsessed with our conniving FL.

The world setting is relatively light hearted especially as the FL’s adventures move out of the palace. <<less

I'm at chapter 61 and enjoying the story a lot. The characters are fun. I also enjoy the quality of translation. The translators read comments about their work, went back and polished up their chapters and added content for readers unfamiliar with the culture. That's real dedication. (Heroic translators, you're the bomb diggity in mho.)

3.5, great start, disappointing development.

The characters are great, you could definitely see their personalities and tell them apart. Love MC's relationships with her siblings. Her relationship with ML are even less elaborated than her familial relationship, but like from what we see it's really cute.

anyway, as I said, the beginning is really promising. But some (not all) developments to the plot are really not that interesting or good to the story.

Example: the whole side-plot/hobby/whatever to "explore the Jianghu" felt completely like it came out of nowhere, and it's just.. Meh. I mean, like, it's fun to see, but it just kinda doesn't make sense in the big picture, y'know. I would even say that it's a bit OOC for her.

It's a good story at the beginning, but then it got increasingly boring.

I really have a natural repulsion to the ML, for no specific reason, I just really can't like him somehow.

The FL was smart, decisive, cunning and all that green tea thing, but as the story goes her IQ dropped to the age of the body and she got all cutesy for real it seems.

Don't know, just not my thing.

I love how she manipulated everyone from prince to princess to the emperor, dowager, etc. I’m also glad she also cares for her family, especially to Prince Ting (I forgot his name 😂) after what happened to him due to the conflict.

I feel bad for the 2nd ML since his exposure was too short. Also, the focus on the martial arts was a bit boring and I was totally uninterested.

Loving it so far~

Our Female lead is so efficient at being a green tea b**ch and manipulating people! So far she hasn't hurt anyone that didn't ask for it first which is a big bonus in my book, and she loves her family very much. Wholesome, diamond in the rough!

The synopsis is misleading. The story doesn’t only focus on harem intrigue and face slapping. The story is really unique that describes gradual growth of the FL.

It doesn't only focus on the relationship between the ML and FL. I gave it 5star for that.

I absolutely loved this! The author did a really good job putting this story together. It was a fluffy, warm, and comedic story. I loved the adorable antics between characters, and I also loved the MC's character. I think it was a fairly realistic story for being this type of novel. It was a fluffy story with an actual backbone for a plot. The MC is clever and smart, but also b/c she's from modern times she can't bring herself to personally kill someone. It might seem hypocritical to some,... more>> but I thought it made sense. Anyway, there wasn't too much drama or angst. It also wasn't super easy either. We could actually see how she made her way through the palace fights. I also loved how she didn't get too caught up with the fact that she has an adult soul. Some MC's try to act like an adult and won't bother with kids their physical age, but the MC embraced it and didn't mind playing with young kids. It was nice. I also liked the character growth that you could see in each of the characters. It was a nice surprise. I honestly think the author did a really good job of making you feel the warmth of the family in the imperial palace, while at the same time you could still see the darkness and brutality of it all. Anyway, it's a nice read. I'd highly recommend this. <<less

Five star! This novel is that good, it makes me happy reading it from star to end. I complete it by mtl and only take 2 day to finish the whole novel, the mtl not hard to understand either. This will be one of the novel that I'll read again and not get bored. I love the interaction of the FL with her family and the people around her, FL and ML love story is superrrrrr cute 😍

What make me sad is only that this novel is toooo short, I... more>> wan't to know more about every side characters background story. Especially the First Prince, Is he and Yanxin got married? It doesn't have an explanation. And I often feel that there's a pharagraf missing when I read a few chapters.

But all in all it's a good story worth to try. Please support the author and thank you translator for picking this story for us ❤ <<less

I was smiling the entire time I was reading this with a few tears here and there. It’s a fluffy novel with good pacing and I really loved the family especially eldest prince and sixth prince. A very satisfactory read without much dogblood drama and political intrique. And I can’t believe I’m saying this but the MC is a perfect green tea bit*h who uses her green tea powers for good 😂

This was so good! So good that I still can't move on even after reading it. Just the right amount of politics intrigue, things were always solved in a non dragging manner.

Not to mention the fluff. THE FLUFF!!! I CAN'T EVEN BEGIN TO DESCRIBE HOW PLEASANT I FELT WHILE I WAS READING THIS NOVEL.

seriously, give it a read. Even the MTL fully satisfied me, not to mention the translated chapters!

I especially loved the extras!

Enjoyable and satisfying read. I love the MC, one of the best. Lovable character, smart, and heartwarming interaction between sibling. The MC claimed herself as "green tea princess" and indeed she is. She knows how to work toward people heart and also know how to take care of them. No unnecesary cruelness or face slapping. A little bit marry sueish. All main characters are lovely not just mere cannon fodder but someone with personality and flaw. My favorite is first prince the disney princess 😊 and the precious sixth prince.

The... more>> pace of the novel is slow but not boring and enjoyable. Really recommend this novel if you're looking for light, heartwarming read with decent plot. <<less

It is a very enjoyable read. I mtl-ed this from around chapter 11 in the original version until the end. Thankfully the mtl version is not too difficult to understand. There are some parts that I think still need closure but overall, the conclusion to several major conflicts aren't bad :)

Cute, light, very fluffy. The heart of this story is really the MC and her family members, I feel like - I love how she wins them each over with her cuteness, and I really felt for them when previously close brothers had to start fighting over the throne. : (Luckily, everything turns out okay in the end and I was happy that her siblings found their own happy endings.

MC gets her revenge on a few targeted people who wrong her, but whenever possible she much more prefers to... more>> simply win people to her side, and I love her attitude about it. <<less

I just finished MTL'ing this. And boy, do I have a lot to say. First of all, I highly recommend reading this novel. It's a story about family, and the bonds you form with the people around you. It's got the right blend of drama, comedy, romance, and some tear jerkers.

About the MC. She's become of my favorite C-novel MC. While she claims to be "green tea", she's actually not insidious. She does not target people unless they've done or are planning to harm her and those she cares about.... more>> She claims to be approaching people as her "targets" to make use of them but she is isn't a cold-hearted user. She really eventually cares for them. I think that's what makes her a really amazing. I guess some would argue that she really knows psychology really well because she knows how to make use of people's personality, weaknesses, and desires to make them like her. I can't blame her because she was really at a disadvantage from the start. The good thing is that she never takes advantage of them to hurt anyone. She treats them back with sincerity, and gave them a family in return.

Her family. The author managed to portray pure sincere familial love in the royal family, and that's really difficult. But she managed to do it without making it seem forced. Everyone has their own personalities.

I especially love the tsundere but warm-hearted Lin Nianzhi, the silly doting older brother Lin Jingyuan, the gentle and kind hearted animal lover Lin Ting. His story really made me cry.

There's also of course, the MC's younger brother who was just a ball of cinnamon, and Lin Wei, another cutie. Lin Jiwen wasn't really written to be liked but he wasn't bad either. The only bad egg was Lin Xi and she was taken off the story quite early...

Lastly, about the ML. I really love this ML ALOT. Song Jing Lan, very handsome, excellent in martial arts, intelligent. He would have come off as the perfect man but he isn't.

He killed his father and brothers, killed a lot of people, including some of the concubines his mother gave him. I wouldnt put it past him not to kill his mother if she had touched his bottom lin (MC).

About the romance. I would describe it as sweet and spicy. They're both straightforward about their feelings towards each other. There's really no drama, no jealousy. Even so, it wasn't boring at all. Their chemistry is just so great.

Omg such a beautiful story! The drama is good and not too heavy or too light the romance is pretty nice and fluffly and the FL is super strong kind and cunning! So funny I laughed a lot and cried a lot, definitely gonna read a 2nd time when it's tled!!

I mtled the complete story and I loved it.

It's a short novel compared to other historical novels, it lighthearted and the romance line is uncomplicated. The most complex part would be the internal fights between siblings.
