Not the best, but not the worst. I find this novel a bit shallow. Here is a quick rundown of my thoughts:

The MC is a tough omega. Honestly, I found his character extremely basic, the average defying-gender norms MC. He wasn't very fleshed-out at all. Just your usual alpha-beating tyrant. Also has a major insensitivity issue.

The ML is timid and acts like a puppy, I don't know if he was an attempt at a wolf-in-sheep's-clothing character. He's so insecure and it caused so many misunderstandings in the relationship. Don't forget... more>> that he's a super creepy stalker that followed the MC throughout high school and college. Not cute, just weird.

The plot itself wasn't the most interesting, but it passed the time. I finished this in a few hours, and I'd be lying if I said I didn't get bored throughout and stopped to do something else. <<less

I don't like the beginning of the story when the MC rejects ML outright just for the human scumbag.

but they ended up dating, and together. I also thought like "that's great"

but I don't like ML's personality (like when he turns out to be a stalker who pretends to be innocent and weak) and how can he misunderstand MC and doubt his love (like when he said "MC only dated ML out of pity") why are you so s*upid, huh? Wake up, and stop sulking !!

The story was alright. There was a lot of misunderstandings but there's also a lot of concessions as well as smut.

However:

  • I agree with what others said. Well, MC is insensitive at certain points. ML is insecure and that combination is just an explosion for readers' frustrations.
  • Whenever I remember the MC from 'Very Happy' I remember how he wouldn't even try to make ML jealous because he stated that it was wrong. Why hurt someone's feelings just to find out if ML likes him? That's a big difference to the plot here where they willingly use hurtful words just because of anger, etc and I agree to that.
Basically, those are some of the problems I found here. Good read though.

Anyway, I like the MC too. Overall the leads are chef kiss.

Second, the misunderstanding between the leads. Im the type to get impatient and just want the leads (if they got misunderstanding between them) to clear the misunderstandings but sometimes the MC is so dumb that I n e a r l y break my leg. But fortunately our MC yanyan is not s*upid (maybe hes a bit s*upid..). Yanyan's and Wangwang misunderstanding is somewhat bearable so its okay for me at least.

Last, the ending. Although I want to know their journey of raising their child its quite okay and its satisfying enough for me. although the smexy scenes made me more satisfied than ever cOuGHs

Anyyywwwaayss, I highly recommend it if u want some fluffy yet smexy story because yeah... (*＾▽＾*)

Edit: i've come back to re read this novel. sh*t man I think if every omegaverse is a bit identical to this novel I am WILLING to sell my soul and submit myself away to the devil... yummy. <<less

Meant to give this four stars.

Very good ABO, without the usual tropes. The MC and ML are very cute. And there is a lot of... ehem... papapa

And I mean lots.

... more>> A lot of people dislike how MC calls ML 'silly dog'.

The misunderstanding is cleared later on, but the MC is a school tyrant. Everyone knows he is not a polite little flower. He is brash, and rude.

This may not suit everyone but it is clearly mentioned that ML did fall for MC and loves who he is.

ML has a lot of insecurities and most of them are his brain conjuring up negative reasons for actual positive complements MC gives.

In the end, they solve all misunderstandings and do eventually become a healthy pair with a lot of snu snu.

Please give this a read! <<less

Incredible novel, MC is more assertive and ML is not, but it's written well, in a way that you won't just think of them as strong omega and weak alpha. All their actions and mistakes are understandable considering their circumstances and personalities, and it's all very entertaining.

MC is a tsun but not in a cruel way, he's trying. He's a bit of a bully at times, only because the ML makes it impossible not to bully him. But they both have their distinct personalities that the other has to accomodate,... more>> it's all chill. Till the extras.

But seriously, theirs is a relationship both of them put effort into, there's so much dog food you'll feel your teeth rot.

Best Omegaverse cnovel I've read and it has lots of well written smut!!! The translation is excellent, too, no problems at all. <<less

I love seeing MC has strong character and bold enough to express his love to ML and no afraid of feeling shame. This story portrayed a cute story and loving characters between MC and ML which the plot are acceptable and realistic.

I truly love this novel and really recommend others to come and read this novel. You won't feel distressed with this novel because when there are problems arise between MC and ML, the MC will quickly solved the problems and their relationship quickly returned to normal. That was a lot of smut chapters, lmao. It was pretty nice that the MC, even though having a strong personality, almost like a tsundere but more sweeter than that, is caring towards the ML and always try to clear the misunderstandings. The ML just really lacks a ton of self-esteem when it comes to MC that it creates a headache for the MC.

This novel is pretty good to read. Both MC and ML are devoted to each other that you'll wish you have someone like that by your side.... more>> This novel is one of the smuttiest I ever read in here though, so expect it to be a lot of steamy vivid scenes, not like other novels with yaoi genre and only have a glimpse of it or that says the next day immediately, lol. <<less

5 stars just for the assertive MC. The translation is great.

After reading so many ABO novels, with the typical wimpy omegas, this MC rocks! Lol

The MC is an assertive omega who goes after what he wants... in life and in the bedroom... wink wink. Hahahahahaha.. MC tries to make ML more confident but unfortunately there are some misunderstandings due to the way MC talks.

... more>> ML is wholly devoted to MC, transitioning from loyal dog to wolf pup to a devoted wolf. ML’s care and love for the MC is solid.

The story has only alphas and omegas as characters though. Wonder where all the betas went?...

Dropped. I can see people liking this novel, but it just wasn't my cup of tea.

Even tho they try to make the MC look like an independent omega who doesn't take bullsh*t from anyone, the romantic interest (not ML) pushes his bottom line constantly and he just says "don't do that again or I'll go" BUT NEVER DOES. He's being disrespected again and again and just accepts it bc "he's the only A with a pheromone strong enough" Even tho he keeps saying he would rather stay his heat alone... more>> and suffer than be with an a**hole... Then do it. Why are you hesitating so much? Also, author portraits this love interest as someone SO arrogant and just insufferable that's I just wanted to skip ever part he was on; however MC just says he's a bit self centered but kind and likeable... We only see him being a major a**hole. Can't see such a idiot being kind, like ever. Not one single time we see him being slightly nice.

And honestly, I hates how MC treated the ML. There's fluff, yeah. But usually is just the ML being an absolute sweetheart and the MC taking advantage of him. He treats him like a lackey and ML is so in love that he doesn't have any self respect.

One thing that I couldn't get pass it's when there's like a dance, and MC gets ML to teach him to dance just in order to go with his other love interest. That's just mean. Why would you do that? <<less

I've read reviews that MC was annoying but after reading, I beg to disagree. Both MC and ML are very realistic and had their own share of worries and insecurities. I can totally empathize with them. If there was something annoying, it would be all those misunderstandings. But of course we need a drama for the plot of a novel to progress, and what I really like is the author gave us a thorough clearing of those misunderstandings! I'm almost immune to misunderstandings happening in a danmei but damn, it... more>> felt so good to have them all neatly clear up! So yea, all's well that ends well!

However, be prepared for the dubcon. ML was no jerk and one of the nicest in all the MLs in the all danmeis. If you wanna know why a dubcon happened, here's a minor spoiler. Just one sentence so I won't give too much.

ML has no alcohol tolerance and he was intoxicated.

The only thing I didn't like is how this situation was resolved.

I really wished that MC reprimanded the ML more. Not because of the dubcon but ML needs to be more aware of the other people flirting with him and he needs to learn how to control or improve his alcohol tolerance if he can't refuse a drink. If an omega can take advantage of that for once, surely, it can happen again. I totally know how beast an intoxicated alpha could be so I can't blame ML for the dubcon happened with the MC. And regarding the hickey that was forced on ML, I also can't blame him for it coz he was dead drunk and he even quickly kicked that ass omega out, but he needs to work harder and learn that he should also protect himself from other omegas who have no morals.

It was a good read and I had fun reading but it wasn't super special to me. So if you're looking for a quick read with light story and good smut, then I totally recommend this one!

I'd like to applaud the translator for the superb translation! The smut was so well-written! There are a lot of good danmeis but I've been deprived with smut. I need good smut too! So kudos to the author and translator! <<less

misunderstandings at the beginning + Fluff and smut + love

Thb, ML and MC's personalities are one of the most incompatible ones to be paired together. A insensitive tsundere omega paired with a hopeless over-thinking alpha. This is why the story is frustrating at some point due to misunderstandings. A hopeless person needs an open minded person to be their partner to build trust. It's total opposite here.

So what made me still going on with this story? Just one sentence from ML "This is my devotion to you"

Once their misunderstandings... more>> were cleared, it's just pure love and smut. And fluff too.

And as one of the readers told extra 2, there is no need to read. I particularly didn't like that chapter. <<less

Tbh I remember seeing some reviews complaining about MC but to me he looks completely reasonable, actually I wouldn't be able to stand dating ML. ML says he likes MC but he doesn't even know his personality, no matter how many times MC reassures him, gives him clues and shows him affection ML still doubts his feelings and doesn't appreciate the effort MC puts into the relationship, he's unreasonably insecure too. Imagine If you were known for your hot temper but end up dating someone who claims he has been... more>> in love with you for a long time. You also start liking that person but he keeps looking at you like you're unreasonable and violent because of rumors and doesn't bother to actually see you for who you are or recognize your effort and feelings. I would go crazy If I were MC, wouldn't think twice about breaking It off. (Review when I was at c40) Later It gets a bit better but ML is still dense. I don't recommend It (after completing) <<less

I love it.

I'm normally not into Omegaverse story but I gave this one a shot. The smut is nice. Meow...

But the most important is that the storyline is good as well. It's cute. I love the dynamic between MC and ML so much. So, do give this story a shot. You won't regret it. Especially if you're in that state of mind where you can't handle heavy plot hahaha. We all have that moment sometimes where we just wanna read a light noncomplicated plot.

for me this is 3 stars, undoubtedly the story is good the smut even better and who doesn't love a proactive mc?

however, the story has a lot of flaws and the author didn't manage to make me very emotional about the MC but only made me dislike his treatment to ML more and more. my impression of him was on a constant up and downscale and the majority is tilting downwards.

simply put, the MC wasn't my cup of tea. Though I do admire how his character never really changes-there in... more>> growth for both leads but their core remains the same...

it's definitely not bad but I just didn't expect such a rough MC...

you have to try it to know if it's for you or not I really have no dissatisfaction in their bedroom life cuz there's plenty lol. <<less

Anyway this novel have good detail smut scene, only second to 'the show must go on'

The fluff is good too especially consent, consent is so sexy with ML being caring to tough mc

As a huge ABO fan I really love the theme of Strong, tryant, dominant omega x Sweet, puppy, soft Alpha (Those two are my weakness), but it's rare to see this kind..... especially Soft alpha.

Unlike your usual ABO world there's no r*pe and No accident heat incident and their relationship start and sailed pretty good expect for some misunderstanding troops which was annoying but compare to other Anxiety ones, this one was very bearable. Plus I love how the MC didn't fall for ML because of his pheromones,... more>> but for who ML is and his love for him..... making this story pretty sweet and fluffy.

Well, You just have to bear the sad part of ML one sided love and then everything is just sweet afterwards.

I love MC so much (i am totally weak for dominant/strong omega...., especially those that can also teach as*hole alphas some lesson)...... although MC can be tryant and controlling and a lot of people may not like this but well, ML doesn't care.

and ML...... it's very hard (actually kinda impossible) to find such a fine ML in ABO world. The way he loves MC unconditionally is just too much for precious heart. Where can I find such a guy? Please tell me.

I loved the Romance but also at the same time I didn't much. I don't like it when things get little like Dominant X submissive form..... and I know with MC Dominant nature and ML Submissive nature we were bound to see D&S relationship but like I have seen other similar pair (D-uke & S-seme) having normal relationship. So, yeah I kinda wished for that but well.....

There are too much misunderstanding between MC and ML, it filled almost 60% of the novel. While I love how MC, despite being omega, could stand for himself really well, he was definitely selfish and it caused many misunderstanding and put ML's confidence to the bottom. ML is definitely one of the rare adoring alpha you could find. He is respecful toward MC and his devotion is heartwarming. Honestly one of the best stories ever.

I'm writing this review as I feel like the people were to harsh on their views, when it concerned the MC.

Smut- great

... more>> Chararcters- amazing chemistry. The MC is a bit of a tsundere whereas the ML is a hidden wolf, although at the beginning his insecurities get in the way.

I didn't agree with the previous reviews concerning the MC's character. I thought he was straightforward and knows what he wants.

There are a few misunderstandings, but nothing major or super dramatic. They get resolved nicely towards the middle of the book.

But the story is super sweet. You should definitely read it !!!! <<less
