When ML introduces MC to his cousin, MC was extra pleasant, wanting to charm his lover’s family, but ended up causing ML to misunderstand and think MC was interested in ML’s cousin. Insecure ML broke down, confessed his insecurities under MC’s angry threats and forced MC to be aware of his own callousness in ignoring how low ML’s self esteem really is. They have a heart to heart while MC is starting his heat in which MC reassured ML and gave him a promise ring... they “mate”, and MC found out the truth behind ML’s pheromones. ML confessed he kept the secret for so long because he wanted MC to like him, not use him for his pheromones - all is well after they have a talk afterwards.
