In order to express their guilt, the man’s family decided to make up for it with Ye Zhi. But she did not want their ‘compensation’ and simply left without turning her back.
The next second, Ye Zhi was picked up by a Rolls Royce.
Gu Ren, the son of the richest man, had a tough life and couldn’t live past 30 years old. Only Ye Zhi, who was born on the cloudy day of the lunar year, was the most suitable match that could make him survive.
Ye Zhi and Gu Ren got married. Gu Ren gave her a bank card. All she has to do is—
Spend money for him! Squander his fortune!
Ye Zhi bought a Lamborghini for Gu Ren, but he had an accident as soon as he drove the car.
As soon as she bought some Hermes platinum bags for herself, Gu Ren signed a more than one billion worth contract.
It turned out that the money could only be spent on herself. The more she spent, the more prosperous she became.
Since then her life has changed completely. She became a rich woman who owns luxury items, limited edition bags and a villa overlooking the Forbidden City.
The man thought that Ye Zhi, who he had broken up with, must have suffered a lot. Until one day, he saw his former fiancée walking in the street, followed by a striking Lamborghini.
Wait! Who is the man next to her?
This man is a super-rich man—Hundreds of times richer than his own family!

It feels like the author is banking on you reading the blurb of this as part of your reading comprehension for the novel. And that, in my opinion, is bad storytelling. It's like: 'you read the short blurb right? Here- BAM BAM BAM!' It feels like a speed run, like one of those 5 minutes per episode dramas. There's no set up, no buildup. It really resembles a speed run, eg: immediately FL breaks off with ex, ML's people show up right away suddenly surrounding them in the front door like the police in cop films. It's just so... awkwardly sudden in an ostentatious way? It makes you go— 'Uuuuh... Wha?' FL and ML's attitude as well. It's like they're forcing their archetypes/cliches. Like, they try to make the FL one of those cool 'I don't care' girl-bosses but it resembles a replication of this attitude rather than an actual one. Or the 'standoffish CEO who's actually warm once you know him' cliche. I think their cliches/troupes didn't work well because there wasn't any build up/prolonged period of only knowing the character as one side of the cliche/troupe. So the change feels unannounced. It just doesn't feel right. The abrupt pacing is off-putting.
It threw away the entire immersion and actually managed to annoy me. There are other strange things as well, and the author didn't manage to interest me at all. Anyways, from the chapters I managed to read... I did not enjoy. I can't bring myself to continue it.
I gave my review an additional star to make up for me not finishing it.

It manages these themes well, the characters are enjoyable if one dimensional, the villains while dislikeable are bland and generic. There's only one that does serious dogblood and she's dumped quickly. In short it's a light fun read.My one complaint is the translator itself. They split the chapters into tiny thirty second reads and list them as a full chapter so they can get more ad revenue. That’s why the listed chapters are at 179 even when the novel itself has 110 full length chapters. It’s really irritating when fan translations do that in order to milk all the money they can get when it’s an unofficial fan translation (and therefore not giving any support to the actual author). Don’t present something as something it’s not. List the chapters as ‘Chapter x Part x’ instead of claiming to be posting full chapter translations.
