Its the only strong point of this novel. There are no conflict, no third guy, no real enemy. I liked most of it but the lack of brain or power of enemy kinda put me off lately. All the allies know martial art/internal force but enemies dont. The spies of allies know eveeything but enemy spies are idiots. ML even kills of one of the princes fighting for the throne but no one gives a shit! Only villain id say is the poison inside FL body. I liked all the cute fluffy interactions between ML and FL.
The whole story went from "character building from tragedy" to "lovey dovey power couple takeover". There's not much tension in any part of the story, or maybe that's just me. This is not the fault of the translator though. It's very nicely translated. I think the author just isn't used to this genre. The villains are all very one-sided and not developed at all. You don't root for them, nor is there a backstory on the villains. The reasons for their behavior is not compelling enough. There's multiple villains but the conflict resolves in maybe 2-3 chapters? Not much time to built up tension or hype. MC and ML are overpowered and they seem to be able to do amazing martial arts. Somehow, their opponents are never as strong as them, so there's no real good fight. Also, I find that the contradicting personalities that the author gives them makes it very unbelievable. It seems that the story is written from a female's fantasy. The girl is a powerful martial artist but also very cute and fragile-looking. Yet at certain events, she's the most beautiful. She's always protected by people around her except at certain parts where we're reminded that she's OP.
The ML is cold to everyone but he's so loving to her, and only her. He pampers her beyond compare, even to the point where I (as a girl myself) would get annoyed. There's not much independence from each other once the couple pair up. And they get together fast. He fell in love way too fast for someone who was an ice block. He also was way too perfect of a boyfriend for someone who doesn't have much interaction with the opposite s*x. Anyways, I got annoyed because the interactions between the ML and MC are so unrealistic that I hope no one out there actually expects this out of their significant other. TL;DR
Translation is a great light love story. Good for casual read, and not to take too seriously. The plot really mellows out after the first big hurdle.
