This novel is currently one of my favourites. This novel starts of really slow and you may want to drop it because of that but don't because once you give it some time, you will not be able to leave it. The mc Klein is a humorous guy whose monologues are always interesting. He can adapt to situations very quickly and is quite an actor. He doesn't get any op cheat like ability but does have some unique circumstances which he utilizes well to gain an upper hand. The lore is fascinating and is not rigid and fixed like cultivation novels. It is set in a western setting which the author has described well and we discover the world through the mc. The main thing that I liked is the mc who is the type of guy you would want to befriend. This novel also has a comic/manhua which you can checkout.

Mc quickly adapts to his situation and makes good choices. He leads his group out of persia safely and does it in a good manner. One thing I like about it is that mc is a likable person and does things that makes sense. So far he has not done anything drastic or off putting like say making a f*cking gun in greece or anything.   I don't know the history well so I am not sure if what author is saying matches up or not but he explains stuff well so you don't particularly need extensive knowledge of history. SO overall if you like Kingdom Building theme and War Strategy in Medieval Times. Give this novel a chance. <<less

Mc is sent back to past and decides to fulfill his dream of becoming a chef. He's not talented but he works hard. He gets system of sorts that only shows stats and progress (kinda like the one from carefree path of dreams). The system part is not something that is highlighted so you can read without useless stat dumps. 

I am too lazy to type more so here's a review that has more or less the same thoughts as me....

God of Cooking is a rather interesting cooking/romance novel, and while it didn't cover all the food in the world it covered a lot of cooking styles and treated them all with respect. I really like how the main character did not settle for relying completely on his cheat and constantly seeking to improve his skill as a chef.

Okay as for the romance (my thoughts again) it is okay and not fantastic. It is a slow burn type but I usually ignore it.....Overall a delicious book that you can read without indigestion. <<less

Another good novel which features Fang Yuan who is really evil and willing to test any limits to further his goals. The mc travels back into the past but he is not invincible. He faces setbacks that are harmful to him but his attitude towards these setbacks is really good. He lives without any regrets so it is fun to read. The best part of this novel is not the mc only but the brillaint world background. It maintains some aspects of typical cultivation novels but it is unique in its own way. It uses gu or insects(magical) as a part of cultivation with each  being unique with different functions and they can be fused... more>> to form other new ones.

This is one of well written novels with an evil MC who is evil and his deeds are bad but never pretentious or just for show. <<less
