This is more of a story about two people deciding to devote themselves to each other rather than your typical fluffy romance. The earnestness of the ML is something that makes the reader yearn for him to have the one thing that he wants, someone who wants to be with him alone. Meanwhile the MC is a transmigator who starts out as a manipulative as*hole who wants to live easy but, through his lover's attention and affection, starts to give a damn about his surroundings.  The final extra kind of highlights how listless he is. ... more>>

The only stumbling block for many is Shi Li, the ex and a rebirther, and how the story deals with him. Early chapters immediately start explaining his position. It does a good job of making his later actions seem not only reasonable but in modern terms, expected. He's not really a bad guy and even at his most irritating, his plans and goals aren't that much different from many MC in other novels.   <<less

The MC decides to live his own life and not follow the script he's given. It's pretty amazing in that he attempts to not let his 'future knowledge' hamper him. So, because of this outlook, he takes a chance on ML and gives him the benefit of the doubt. Luckily it works out extremely well for him. ... more>>

Given how laid back and communicative the two are, you could possibly see this story are almost listless. As a reviewer mentioned "It's two Mary Sues traveling,"but, for me, the enjoyment is in how the two are constantly working on their relationship. The title hints, ML and MC are very in turn with each other and mostly avoid many common tropes that are within every romance. There is no dreaded 'miscommunication leads to apocalypse plotline". 

It should also be noted that the ending isn't the best due to the author's RL issues. The story is a bit of a 'missed opportunity' story in that it's obvious that a lot could be added or expounded on but is either ignored or forgotten entirely.  <<less

It's your typical 'husband does everything for his wife" type story but the things covered in this story are usually overlooked in others. For example, MC going to a whorehouse to learn how to make s*x enjoyable to his wife (and secretly spending his whole allowance on oil) comes off as very sweet and cute. Even the inevitable business is started because he knows his 'wife' needs to be outside working. 

That said, there aren't any major obstacles for the two. MC's size (he's a foot taller than everyone and has to walk sideways through doors), strength (easily lifts trees, his wife, and a large basket filled with lumber), and reputation (he's a strong man with a violent temper who acts before he thinks) is a deterrent for most people. Even the spoiler event isn't that major since the two seem to take everything in stride.  <<less

GQ-esque germphobic doctor becomes a sickly beautiful twink in his new life. Because of the care of his 'family', he willingly marries the notorious 'ugly' ger they chose for him. From then on it's a lot of 'who loves who more' without either actually talking to each other. This is more an honourable mention since I'm only halfway through the story but so far it's great. There isn't a lot of your typical drama in this story. While the MC's family does chose ML because he could take care of their son, they are still respectful about it and genuinely want their 'DIL" and son to be happy. A lot of time is spent with the parents attempting to build a healthy relationship with not only their new 'daughter' but with his family as well.  They also care and worry about their son and take his infirmities as something they caused.  

Meanwhile, ML's family has raised him to have a good understanding of his worth. While the ML does have some self-esteem issues with being mistaken for a 'man' instead of a ger all the time, he comes off as having a more pragmatic approach to his appeal. It's funny how the ML seems to be trying to 'prove himself' all the time with the MC and his family constantly tell him to relax, sleep later, ask for help, and other things.  <<less
