The ending was a bit unexpected haha. There isn't much to this given that it's a short but I suppose the story was pretty cute~

It wasn't too intense either; It's not one of those smut novels where the author is clearly trying to add as much kinky, erot*c details as they can just to excite the reader. This one is more sensual and passionate rather than deliberately stimulating. Pluuus, important point!: They're a rare reversible couple!!! Like, I've only ever read one other reversible couple and there's still a bit of an imbalance between that one because each person in that CP is still coded as mostly-top/mostly-bottom and it doesn't feel like a real reversible pair. And the switching of positions there was written as a sort of show of relinquishing power and was stranglely gendered which I was kind of hmmmmmm about. Here in this novel tho, there was none of that. Both characters are good tops and bottoms and it doesn't feel out of character for them to be either. And they really are partners. This is probably one of the more equal relationship I've read as there's no clear more dominant/more powerful half between the two. 

So yeah, I just love this a lot ^o^♡ It was just really hot and I feel very happy finally finding a good smut novel with a proper reversible couple. Thank you so much for the author for feeding goodness and to the TL team for translating it very well~ <<less

Well... this is one interesting way to confess.

Ahhh with how this story is, you might get a alcohol poisoning. :---) Rebirth of a Cannon Fodder from a Novel is a reaaaallly dog blooded novel. I wanted senseless revenge and drama and I sure got it lol. It's so dramatic that it probably a lot of telenovelas and other dog blood BG novels out there. If that's not what you're looking for, you're likely to be annoyed and hate this. But if you like petty revenge, counterattacks, and messy family relationships, this is for youuu.Story is about MC who was hated and abused by his family leading to his unfortunate death. He found out the "truth" of the world and was reborn after. This time, he's determined to change his fate. I don't really have much of an opinion about him and the ML. They're not particularly likeable for me. Good for them esp MC since he's been through a lot but romance wise, I don't feel like reading about them. Not so keen about the dynamic of this pairing, especially because again, the AGE GAP. MC is reborn but his current age is 17. ML is late 20s (26-28) if I remember correctly. This is always my gripe with the BL I'm reading I hate hate hateeeee the sketchy age gaps. 20 y/o with a 28 y/o (a usual number that I noticed to be frequently used in BL) is already a bit iffy, what more about this one? These types of age gaps just make me dislike the older ML who willingly enters into the relationship despite this. I don't really care if it's acceptable elsewhere (like in China where most of the problematic age gap stories I've read come from). It's just a personal principle thing. Hate seemingly predatory relationships and the massive power imbalance brought by a huge age gap and/or a minor/barely legal romantic partner. If there's smth I like about their romance, maybe it's their past life entanglement. Won't say more cuz spoilers but I felt that that one was more pure and heart rending even if it's sad. For this novel, I'm more down for the side CP (ML's friend × doctor) Now, those two are cutiepies hehehe Since I'm here to eat melon, not dog food, I wanna talk about the main antagonists here. Each and everyone of the main antagonists are insane. Everyone is irrational and they act and think in ways very different from normal people. You can't even be mad because their irrationality has a reason. It's all the influence of one, equally irrational person. Hhhh you can prolly easily guess it but don't wanna spill anyway. Book title (in the novel) really makes a lot sense. Crazy leading other crazies. The main antagonist's reasons for their actions are dumb as hell but someone's life was destroyed cuz of it. It's a lesson on not to put power on any random person's hands because they can do a lot of damage whether they intend to or not smh. Y'know, somehow, I almost felt bad for some of the antagonists. They're probably still going to be terrible people even without influence, but the amount of brain rot they're suffering from is just off the charts. Reading about them, you just want to brick their head in in frustration. Everyone's so stupiiid :))))) If they were a bit more sane, they'd be more competent villains. But then again, they would have also not made MC's life so terrible if they were rational characters. We wouldn't have this plot then. So yeah, that's it. It's not a phenomenal novel. Really just so-so. Pretty entertaining anyway. It's well suited for your dog blooded needs. <<less
