The Slag Gong wants to Kill me

Description

I think my husband wants to kill me.

Whether it’s forgetting to turn off the gas or finding the bathroom door locked after I just finished bathing, it all makes me feel that he wants to kill me.

I know that I shouldn’t be considering this because we are a gay couple and we have been together for seven years.

Our relationship is also stable, and he is very good to me.

But I really think he wants to kill me.

This is my assumption about which character is which:

Spoiler

1. Ex-husband older brother A is Lu Hai

This one is obvious. Since the book directly stated so.

2. Officer D's real name is Zhuang Yu

He is the one who wants to save the childhood sweetheart (Luo Yu) from asylum but failed [read epilogue 6, epilogue 8]

3. Film Emperor C is Chu Linshan.

I know I know, some of you might disagree with me because if he's the film emperor, how come Ji Qu doesn't recognize him?

But here's the thing; that chapter is from Ji Qu's perspective. We all know he lost 3 years worth of memory, so it makes sense if he doesn't recognize him. Plus, Ji Qu's friend (Xiao Hua) didn't even see the man who pick up Shen Yizhou [see epilogue 3], so the fact whether other people recognize 'the man' or not remains unknown.

The other clue is, the car that he drove is luxurious. We know the film emperor will inherit his family business. And it might be because of that, the film emperor gradually stop acting, therefore it lowers the chance of Ji Qu recognizing the man from movies.

The last clue that makes me sure of the film emperor's identity is HIS HABIT OF SCRATCHING HIS HAIR AND STUTTERING. Yes, it might seem ridiculous, but other than film emperor, there is no other character that scratch his head and stutter so cutely. I think its a hint from the author.

On chapter 25:

'He was leaning against the wall by the door, looking a bit nervous, turning his head and scratching his hair. "Will... Will you invite me in?"'

On epilogue 4:

'Chu Linshan had sent him home.

"Can I stay... stay for the meal?" The man leaning against the door shyly scratched his head as he asked.'

SEE?? SEE HIS CUTENESS?? That's why I'm sure Chu Linshan is the film emperor. He's the only ball of fluff in this psychopatic story.

And last but not least

4. Editor Friend B is Ji Qu

Its actually pretty obvious. But, because the author thrown in some pretty confusing details, it can misdirect people.

First. The editor friend B himself is pretty shady. I'm pretty sure he knows about what's going on/maybe even helps the MC. It can be seen from their analogy of 2 robin birds.

Also, if you read chapter 6, it reveals that MC hasn't contact the editor B for so long, and editor B is very happy to receive his call and would stick his hand into help if he could.

On chapter 9, editor B looks very angry and in disbelief when the MC said he will continue being with his husband even if he's cheating. (Because he loves MC?)

On chapter 18, the editor says MC's husband was all over the place trying to delete the negative comment regarding the childhood sweetheart. Maybe it doesn't seem weird, but the MC never really disclose who his husband cheating with, and how does a mere editor knows about what the MC's husband (a president of an entertainment company) is doing? Unless he secretly helps the MC and monitor the MC's husband. And amongst all the characters, the MC only shared his personal thoughts with editor B even confessed that he has a minor ilness.

On chapter 23, the MC alibi is editor B, and the editor seems to be very happy with the MC visit. This chapter also reveals editor B willingness to wait for another 10 years for the MC.

On chapter 24, both of them watch a film with an ending of the rise of a mentally disordered person.

Editor B suddenly asked about The two robins. At this point, editor B clearly knows something.

Finally, on epilogue 8, Ji Qu reveals that he loves this side of MC that he never reveals to anyone other than him. Who else know MC better than anyone other than Ji Qu? He's even willing to waste 3 years of his life for the MC. He's willing to be abused, he's clearly the dog in the MC's book.

But this is just my assumption.

[collapse]

I love the MC.

But, I think MC is a psychopath.

He doesn't bother to remember people's name, he lacks emphaty, lacks remorse, doen't have friends, anti-social. He doesn't fear the consequences of his actions, he planned mu*der as if its a stroll in a garden. He experiment on rats and abused his dog-- *cough* I mean, his henceman (look at my spoiler).

He's a skilled liar and good at mimicking emotions to manipulate people, even the film emperor can't see through his act. He's charming yet cold-hearted, he knows exactly what to do to capture people's sympathy. It makes me wonder why he married the ex-husband at the first place.

Even his narrative sounds so cold, so... detached. As if all this situation has nothing to do with him, and he's only a mere observer. He himself even admitted of having

minor ilness. So maybe he likes to observe people to mimic their emotions. *shudder*

But tbh, the scum ex-husband and the childhood sweetheart deserve it. The parents of the scum also deserve it. And I would love to read about the scum's friends misery. But I kinda wish that scum doesn't die that easily (Its kinda funny because till the end, I don't even know the scum's name hahahah they only refers him as MC ex-husband).

Yes, some of MC's actions don't make sense and there are some plotholes, but I came here not to nitpick his method but to SEE THE SCUMS GET ABUSED HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. So, satisfying.

All in all, this is a abuse-the-scum novel that I longing to see since most of the MC of other dogblood novels are either spineless or a trembling M. I wish to read other stories like this, if you have any recommendation, tell me pls. <<less

In a sick way it's very satisfying to read... like who gives a damn about forgiveness. We have so many novels with a kind dumb naive protagonist who will forgive literally anything. Being nice is boring... and the MC is the exact oppsite of boring.

This novel is - compared to other Gary Sue stories - so much better because we have a badass psycho MC who doesn't give a sh*t. And to be honest, I love this dark concept. Revenge plot has never been more satisfying.

It's wrong but it's very... more>> refreshing & fullfilling at the same time. <<less

This is literally the perfect novel to read after finishing Gaze at the Scenes of Debauchery, the Decade of Deep Love, or literally any novel with a scum gong that doesn't really get his just punishment. Ah, what a sight for sore eyes this was. The MC is a calm, gentle but ruthless, smiling on the outside but ready to set your house on fire type of guy. He's a genuine psychopath, in my opinion, but it's so satisfying to see how he enacts his ruthless revenge. I'm also glad the author allowed us to actually loathe the ML as well (in this review I'll call the husband the ML, even though him and the MC don't actually love each other). In other novels, there's always some back story to try and make us feel sympathetic to the ML, or some portion of the novel is in his POV to get the readers to understand his cheating and try to excuse it. Not here. In the Slag Gong Wants to Kill Me, there's no romanticizing cheating, no trying to be like "oh I'm cheating on the MC but it's okay because I love him so much". The ML is garbage, stays acting like a piece of garbage, and
Spoiler

dies like the garbage he is.

[collapse]

Not only that, but the person the ML cheats with gets their just punishment as well. I know that the person your significant other commits adultery with isn't always guilty, but here, that "childhood sweetheart" (no one other than the MC in this novel is given actual names until the extras. I actually really like this aspect of the story, because not only can you read it and enjoy it as it is, but you can substitute characters from other novels that didn't get satisfactory revenge (i.e the MC and ML from Decade of Deep Love)) is fully aware that the ML has a husband, yet sleeps with him anyway. In fact, he takes great pleasure in the idea that the ML is cheating and hates the MC for no other reason than the fact he's married to the ML, even though it was the ML's decision. The revenge the MC enacts is intricate and was fun to follow. Watching his plans reach its climax was literally exhilarating, and I was smiling happily even though the content was pretty disturbing. I do have to warn you that it's not for the faint of heart though, as
Spoiler

the MC carefully orchestrates the ML's death while he's f*cking the childhood sweetheart, before locking the two in a room. The latter is forced to eat the ML's corpse in order to survive the confinement, which I know sounds pretty disgusting and harsh, but trust me, throughout the course of the novel you'll begin to hate the ML and the childhood sweetheart so much that this will feel very justified, lol.

[collapse]
Was the revenge slightly unrealistic and did things go the MC's way a little too well? Perhaps. But it felt damn good to read, so I'm going to let it slide. I also enjoyed the extras. There was always hints of foreshadowing implying that there was someone who knew what the MC was doing, and in the extras that someone comes to fruition. To me, it was pretty easy to piece together that the
Spoiler

Editor was aware of everything going on, and that he had feelings for the MC. The whole hypnotizing thing

[collapse]
was kind of bullshit, but otherwise I liked the ending very much. Anyway, this was a great revenge/face-slapping novel. A perfect read if you're sick of scum gongs being forgiven or not given the proper penance. A solid 4.0/5.0 stars for me.

It's honestly really satisfying to read, although there were parts that didn't feel realistic.

Spoiler

MC meticulously formed his alibi and personality in his first half and decides to mu*der his husband by drugs.

The naive personality type can only get a person so far, especially when people around you have been telling you/ hinting about the infidelity.

Then uses the excuse of leaving crucial evidence to have time to get rid of other shreds of evidence such as surveillance and focus on the drug. (but taking attention off the drug is smart, but, the autopsy results should have had that as the first clue? And MC has already planted other evidence on the defendant?

I mean like, clean up as you go should be the best way.

MC also left evidences on his husbands computer of text messages to elope and s*x tapes.... But when someone wants to elope, they'd never leave messages on a hidden folder? I keep feeling like if a person was smart, they'd never leave any traces of infidelity near them? (BUt, maybe they're dumb and that's that.) Also, if they were to elope, they'd leave the country at least and not go to a honeymoon villa? MC also has a locator on ML's body, (granted MC's rich, but casual GPS locators aren't small, and they'd use the company's software which has customer information and would likely be found in an autopsy or a quick search, then there's a trace to find the company who manufactured the chip, and then trace its usage. To get a really good tracking chip that doesn't use the manufacturer's own server is really expensive and I think only a few firms would do that. Just smashing the locator, doesn't mean the chip vaporizes.

Then there's the public viewing of the infidelity tape, that'd be under the suspicion list by the police too. And getting away from that is really hard, or easy as the vast number of people who come into contact with the final version. (Although, I mean, in every viewing, they'd play the tape at least once (partially, at least) prior to the event so-)

In all mu*der cases, the prime suspect would be family, especially if the wife was cheated on, so by publicizing the tape, being involved in the movie (written by the MC) with such an undertone, just set up the scene to be too much like a revenge plot in the eyes of others with its motivation clear to all. Maybe if the MC was smart, (I mean, he already is), he should have swayed his revenge in a different direction, off infidelity, to avoid suspicion. Maybe he could dig deeper, and planted further evidence on other forms of motivation that the 3rd party could have to mu*der the husband? oh well, everything went fine, so it is good.

Also, the locked in the room plot... like unless those doors had a steel frame, then destroying the door to get out would be EASY (as you can smash chairs/bedside tables on it to get out of wooden doors). But MC even threw a KNIFE through an OPEN window!!! Does that room not have curtains or something???? He even has a bloody knife!!! Which makes making a rope out of them sooooo much easier!!!!!!!! The first thing to do in that kind of situation is actually to NOT touch the knife, use other ways to get out, like smashing windows, with chairs, nightstand and form a rope out of curtains, bedsheets, etc. Take a shower (there MUST be a bathroom if they're rich) (to get rid of infidelity evidence, and chalk it up to panic if the police ask) grab your clothes and PHONE and PICTURE of MC (if possible like his car etc.) / crime scene, grab the husband's keys and drive to the nearest police station/ call your lawyer to report to handle the case low key.

Also, if they were to even consider the house to have *** at, then that must mean that at least there'll be cleaners coming every so often unless they want to have *** in a musky, poor airflow and stuffy house?? Like, if they want to live in a breathable home, then cleaners should come over every week? So the plot of them being found a month later is really absurd. (granted the husband could have temporarily dismissed them though.) This just feels s*upid...

I don't know but, I feel like maybe the MC could've been more meticulous?

Like, MC picked a flashy car to follow after the cheating couple, like no. MC used a key that only he or his husband had, uh. well.

MC also bribed so many people, which I mean, ok, but don't bribe the person you made a random backstory for to be interviewed by police? (I feel like the risk there is really high)

MC had bedroom hidden cameras in their shared home, where he was a neet, not the best location, and also the easiest for the prime suspect to place. (MC's husband found out, questioned MC, but took no further action after his doubts disappeared for a while... Is that really the behavior the husband would take if he had allegedly wanted to mu*der MC? Also, the husband stopped trying to mu*der MC after the first chapter,... unless it's all in MC's head that the husband wants to mu*der him so that MC could justify to himself why he is "allowed" to kill husband then... maybe?

100 percent recommend, MC (Shen Yizhou) is smart, Oscar level actor, and slightly psychopathic.
Spoiler

Kills his husband when he realizes that he was cheating on him and makes the childhood sweetheart eat him.

You don't know the names of most of the characters, referring as A, B, husband, ect, but the epilogue gives you the MC's and possibly the ML's name. A satisfying short read.

A good read! It has suspense, mystery and mu*der. I really like reading this because it didn't explain clearly what's happening, we as the reader must deduce ourselves who is who and what's happening behind the scenes

Spoiler

As far as I understand, MC and Editor B (Ji Qu in the epilogue) has known each other for a long time, but somehow they separated for years (MC is the one who left Editor B).

Editor B and MC both have mental problems. I suspect MC is a sociopath or psychopath, meanwhile Editor B/Ji Qu is obsessed with MC to the point he's acting like MC loyal dog.

When MC contacted Editor B, Editor B start to get involved with MC life and found out MC Husband affair with the childhood friend (as shown in a chapter where Editor B being angry at MC "naively" didn't know about the affair/don't want to left the Husband)

Editor B also acts as the alibi for MC, and help MC covering up his acts.

As for why Ji Qu felt he lost "someone"/MC in the epilogue chapter, it's because he saw MC with the movie emperor.

In three years of Ji Qu/Editor B "amnesia"/hypnosis state, I guess MC still maintains a relationship with movie emperor to use his power (probably to caught Policeman D just in case he succeeded in helping the childhood friend)

For the three years "bait" it seems MC know that the childhood friend is not actually crazy, so the childhood friend will definitely try to get out from the mental asylum because he can't stand it, but he's biding his time because he's afraid of MC. In the end he got impatient because the childhood friend saw Ji Qu/Editor B.

I bet the Policeman D figured out that MC and Editor B actually conspired together. If Editor B came back then it'll be more difficult to get childhood friend out. (Childhood friend probably know about Editor B from Policeman D).

So the timeline is:

Car Accident --> MC woke up and saw Editor B who explains what happened etc. ---≫ Editor B want to pursue MC, MC asked Editor B to be hypnotized to forget things, if Editor B can overcome the hypnosis state then MC will give him chance

I have high suspicion that in the car accident Editor B is also in that car.

Scum gong deserve to die. This is the notion of this novel. It's thrilling and... sickeningly satisfying.

If you have ever read "The Decade of Deep Love/ The 10 Years I Love You Most", you will get so frustrated, sad, and raged over the scum gong Wenxu Jiang. Get so sad and exasperating for the MC Zeshu He, and got so sad and feeling unfair for the kind and good Second Male Lead.

The frustration and hatred towards that scum Gong WXJ is so raging and just wanted him to be faceslapped... more>> already. Then, this novel has similar premise with that novel, but completely different plot. Because the MC here is f*cking BADASS! This novel will heal our frustration and sadness after we read the abusive love story between WXJ and ZSH. <<less

AHHH THIS WAS SUCH A GOOD READ! It was so dark and gory, I really love it.

This was quite satisfying to read, especially after the damsels stories where everything is forgiven for "love". I would recommend this story to people who like sweet revenge and brutal mu*der.

Spoiler

The story starts with the MC feeling like his husband wants to kill him, finding out about husband's affair with the childhood sweetheart and then, making a beautiful, crazy plan to kill him.
This might not actually be considered a yaoi since the ML is only mentioned in the epilogue.
Also, I'm 100% sure the ML is Editor B (Ji Qu).
It was quite obvious that he liked the MC and he even said that he was willing to wait for 10 years or smth for him. Also, his actions suggest that he knew about the MC's plan (with the robin analogy and the minor illness thing) and even helped him. In the end, it seems that he and the MC do get together [MC gives him a chance ;) ]and all ends well (for the MC lol) The husband dies, the childhood sweetheart gets mental trauma, the MC gets his revenge and a dog (Ji Qu)

With all the reviews talking about the MC's ruthless revenge I was excited to see how the MC will rip the ML and his mistress apart. I love how MC doesn't hold back and delivers instead of pulling the forgiving the two scums. Maybe I'm a sadist, but I kinda wanted to see the scum husband suffer more, I feel he got off pretty early with a slap on the wrist. I think reading positive reviews set my expectations for the revenge plot super high.
Spoiler

MC fed him pills and he died while doing it with the mistress. Like he died so fast! He didn't even get to realize that MC planned his mu*der. I want to see his despair and mental breakdown. (But that's just my sad*st side showing) I guess he did force the mistress to cannibalize the body, but the scum husband didn't get to die in pain.

[collapse]

The ending might be confusing too and I'm still confused about what happened at the end.

Spoiler

He got together with person B, the editor, that had a crush on him for a long time. Like the other people spoiled, they made some bets. Person B was hypnotized to forget what happened cause he knew MC's true face. If he meets MC after 3 years and still remembers and loves him then MC promises to be with him. There was some confusion about if he was with the film emperor. Yep, I'm still confused, but at least MC is having fun. The mistress is still suffering in the mental hospital. There was also the annoying fake adopted brother that loved the scum mistress and caused the car accident that hit MC to mu*der him cause he suspects MC killed his scum husband. (I mean he did, but it was super annoying to see him cause like bro is you blind??? This scum is cheating on his lovers and are you still protecting this dude? BL brain logic.

[collapse]

It's a fun and short revenge story with MC that delivers what the scums need to be served, maybe more to the scum ex-husband. Gotta love a good revenge story.

This story... Is not for the faint of heart. I love how the author delivered this, and kudos to the translator for digging up this gem ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ tis an interesting and dark read, with the kind of horror that is more in line with what my heart relates to horror, compared to ghosts and the supernatural.

Not as satisfactory as everyone made it out to be.

I agree that the MC really seemed a psychopath, he's way too calm at the face of everything (lack of empathy), he can easily fake his emotions because he knew when and which appropriate emotions should he make in such a situation, when an average person wouldn't be bothered to analyze what kind of emotions should they show, they just show it because they feel it. MC doesn't.

I am also not reconciled with how he carried out his revenge. It's just... more>> my personal preference, but for me death is too an easy way out. I prefer a slow torture, where they make the person living but not quite, to the point they would want to die but they ccouldn't. Where death becomes salvation or an act of mercy instead of punishment. I wanted confrontation. I wanted to see what kind of expressions would these people (cheaters) would make when they were exposed to the whole world. Will they repent, or will they continue to be a scum?

Ah, but unfortunately I didn't get any of that. Moreover, his plan isn't exactly foolproof.
Spoiler

Clearly the mu*der is committed inside the room, the locks are OUTSIDE. If it's indeed the childhood sweetheart's plan to exonerate himself, then there must be an accomplice right? That already nulled the idea that's there's ONLY 2 PEOPLE at the villa. It doesn't add up. How about finger print test on the lock? Yes, he has a knife, but the autopsy already showed the victim didn't died of cannibalism. He died from taking drug C. Why nobody further investigated who sent the drug C? MC's concocted reason to pin the blame on him is too flawed, it claimed that childhood sweetheart motivation for mu*der is because he's being forcefully kept but he still wants the assets of the victim? If he's being forced then shouldn't the first thing he wants is to not have anything to do with this scum man, lest covet his assets? Why pit himself if he just wants to be freely together with his "real lover?" Also if he's being forcefully kept what does that say on the video that aired on the 4th promotion of the movie where a lot of audience saw how willing and sl*t is the childhood sweetheart? It's a sham? I don't know about you but with this "mistress" and "contract of transferring assets to the mistress" is enough to make the lawful partner also a person of interest.

Eventhough it was suspected that zhe husband cheated on him with another man and the MC just published a novel (or at least made one of his friends make a movie about a similiar situation to his) and there have had every reason to be the true killer. Not to forget that the "mistress" wouldn't have stayed at the scene of the crime just to traumatize himself. Also, why didn't that guy not just destroy a window and jump out? And why did he force himself to eat the rotting corpse, if the human body can survive much longer without food and the risk of poisoning yourself with gone bad meat would be much higher than the risk of actually dying because of starvation?

To conclude, for me reading this was pure frustration. <<less

I've got no idea why people are raving about this story, it's so s*upid, there are plot holes everywhere. Literally as dumb as a story can possibly get.
I get that a lot of people are sick of the soft shou taking back the slag gong or getting hurt by a slag gong so this might feel refreshing to them but this ain't it fam. If you're looking for well thought out story/ plot this is anything but that

Nice story - not perfect and the epilogue was a bit confusing and everything the MC planned fitted together a bit too perfectly, to the extent that it was a bit unrealistic. Still, an entertaining read. Quite a dark tale about the MC getting revenge on his cheating slag gong husband. The MC is a really dark protagonist, so meek and innocent type of shou here, which is quite nice.

A quick read and nothing too deep, read it for the psychological satisfaction of seeing the scum gong get hist just... more>> desserts - and then some, because damn that MC was vengeful...

Still has a happy ending for the MC (really not for the slag gong or his lover). <<less

At the scene where cane turned into a gun I thought Shen no different than those scumbag. Turns out it was his way to test Ji Qu's love. Because Ji Qu stay there, maybe with s*upid looks filled with love at the thought Shen's leg is okay, Shen determined Ji Qu loves him so he give Ji Qu a chance

To say MC loved his husband, I strongly disagree. There no grief even disappointment when he found out. His mind naturally find a way to do revenge. Still, at least he was sincere in their relationship. He respect their marriage. Unfortunately he met that scumbag to be his husband.

There are some plot holes. MC's revengewas not perfect. Only with blessing from author it was implemented successfully.
