This is shit. The premise was interesting, and I don't really care if it feels like a complete copy of Mob Isekai, as long as it was well executed. It wasn't.

Is completely watered down. There is barely any interaction between characters. Situation that should've lasted a 6-12 chapters get resolved in 1 or 2. This reads more like the protagonist's journal than an actual novel. Is just pure garbage. Is even worse when the author introduces some side stories. Is supposed to give us some insight into other characters but... more>> that is sh*t as well. Is just a copy of the same main chapter with a bunch of fluff sentences added. We don't really get into the head of the characters at all. The worse is when we get another character's PoV the next chapter and is the same f*cking thing. The author is basically making us read the same chapter three times in a row. <<less

Horrible Cheap-simplified rip-off of MobuSeka.

no... to liken this to MobuSeka is Blasphemy!!!

i don't know how to describe this properly... till the middle of story is copied from MobuSeka, with..

Spoiler

1 Mob Protagonist

2 Forced by his sister to complete Otome Game and unlock every single event picture

3 there's another reincarnator that aim for reverse harem

3 Becomes representative of the villainess for the duel

4 Provoking the reverse harem members in the duel

5 Already decided to drop out from school after the duel

[collapse]

The story itself is simple, if you don't expect much from it, it's readable.

but... maybe author want to branch out from MobuSeka. but it got horrible after duel Event... kinda forced and hollow?

it's downhill from there. with s*upid villains (heroine of Otome Game, king, etc) and s*upid-Forced development. even though I think theres room for improvement with other element that not in MobuSeka.

Spoiler

like pe*ophile spirit, dragon Couple, Wind God, Elf childhood friend (?)

[collapse]

anyway it's a splendid Self Destruct After branching out from MobuSeka, not recommended. <<less

The best I can summarize this story is that it's aggressively okay.

It's not good, but it's not bad. Fundamentally, it isn't bad. The concept of an engineer being isekaid into a fantasy world and fusing his tech knowledge with magic is very interesting. The problem is that the author doesn't really do much with that aside from giving the MC overpoweered abilities and gear.

The story is also aggressively okay. It starts off very similar to MobSekai down to a tee. The MC was forced to play an otome game and... more>> then reincarnates into that world after he dies. He challenges the 5 love interests and gets into a relationship with the game's villainess. The story branches off afterwards when the narrative tries to dive into feudal politics and war, but it's not done well at all. At most it's interesting but mostly it feels like an afterthought to push the characters into certain situations.

Characterization is also pretty hollow. The characters get single traits and that's mostly what they are for the rest of the story, with very little room for improvement. Granted, the MC is pretty proactive throughout the narrative, but he shows very little personality to the point where some parts of the story feels like someone reading off a list of events.

Overall, it's an enjoyable story if you don't expect much from it. <<less

Copy of mobisekai that actually tried to change some things but ultimately resulted in okay~ish story.

I actually liked that the story focused on one heroine and delivered their romance, from classmates of different status to actual marriage. They also started dating quite quickly, which was a surprise. Another surprise was brutality of some scenes and MC actually killing people. Unfortunately Allen himself is your typical "Sasuga MC-sama" that gets what he wants without many difficulties, even when he's a commoner dealing with high-class aristocrats.

He's also quickly becoming super-op, with multiple... more>> cheat skills and easily solves problems that reward him with great benefits.

Most of the characters fall flat, at least in mobisekai we had Luxion to bantz with Leon so there was constantly something going on, here Allen is mostly alone and even when he meets someone, he gets glorified as hell at each step. He also constantly says how he must be stealthy with his anti-destiny plans yet constantly does opposite of it - like rapidly clearing dungeons and offering thousands of magic cores as a "weak adventurer that just started out".

Author had quite interesting idea to show some of the events in the story from multiple perspectives, usually the heroine and game heroine, but in the end they became annoying as most of them are copied dialogues and scenes from the main story but with the added thoughts of Amy/Anna. That said, Amy at least tried to be entertaining one-dimensional villainess.

I must say that it's actually good thing that the whole story is 100chapters long, at least it's quite compact and reads fast + it's quite refreshing to see actual logical ending when the characters reap what they sow.

It was quite basic. (Bit of Spoilers)

The MC change the end by using prior knowledge of the game and uses modern (ish) technology, by conveniently being knowledgeable about airplanes and guns

The FMC noting special. The FMC is likeable, has a good head on her shoulders and not annoying.

The Side Characters are practically all s*upid. They don't think, at all, an easy foil for The MC. The FMV (The Female Main villain) is beyond dumb and psychopathic (killing many innocents, trying to get the FMC r*ped, hypocritical in what she... more>> says and sees the world as a game set in stone) and only realizes after being sold as a prostitute. The boys that fellow her have tunnel vision and sees Amy as an angel god like being without questioning her decisions at all. Only two of the boys stop being super dumd to just dumb.

The Story is noting worth talking about, but has a lot of unnecessary and pointless text, which is annoying.

The read is good if you want something just to read for the genre. <<less

This is a pretty good otome game isekai. Is it going to blow your mind with how amazing it is? Probably not. But it’s a solid read. It was interesting for the whole time and I enjoyed it. Something that you can read when other stories are in between updates.

It's cringe worthy, just as most Japanese novels out there. Side stories are redundant.

On the bright side, translation is good and updates quite often. Premise is good, but there are lots to be desired in terms of characterization.

I just wanted to write a review to say that I really don't get people calling this an otome mob ripoff, yeah they are in the same genre and follow otome game tropes, but other than that there is literally nothing in common between these two novels. The only similar thing is that they follow the same

as every other novel of this type, but the things that happen at every point are not similar in any way shape or form.

Also since everyone is comparing the two I'll say this, and this is just a personal opinion, this novel is a lot better than otome mob, with the only thing where otome mob is better at is the length and therefore has more time to add worldbuilding that this one doesn't have room for. <<less

If you've only read the beginning before the school arc, I would say this novel is pretty meh, especially the lame gun combat in a fantasy world. You would want to dropped the novel during this point.

Once it gets to the school arc, the book becomes a decent read due to the characters conflict and interaction, basically drama, mainly between the villainess and the heroine. The male capture characters are just side mob in the story with barely any presence in the novel. There is however character development for the... more>> villainess which is what I enjoy. <<less

The first 27 chapters felt very out of place from what I initially expected.

Like previous reviewers have already stated, the beginning is reminiscent of that Mob LN from the creator of seven. Expected the story to go shoujo but instead got isekai OP shounen genre. Waiting for the story to get better since the Villainess just got introduced by ch 27 and other reviewers speak highly of this.

I would give this a lower score but I feel that would be unfair. Still, this author deserves a few bad reviews for this bait-and-switch. The first few chapters are a lower-quality version of "The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs" and that is what I was expecting. What I wasn't expecting was a switch to some sort of story of an otaku using magic to replicate modern weaponry in a fantasy universe. There is nothing wrong with that type of story but that's not what I'm here... more>> for. I'll give this a 3 for the quality but if you're here for what the title and summary describe then this is a 2.

Edit after reading to c44: Well it finally got into the proper story but the quality is pretty low. Just a lot of descriptions of how incredible the MC is and all the side characters being incompetent. I am also very unhappy with the combat. The MC is supposedly well-trained with a sword but he never uses it and instead uses a gun. That could still be cool but the author just treats it like a point-and-click tool. The MC just effortlessly moves, points the gun at an enemy, and then that enemy is defeated. I get that that is how guns are supposed to work but you could also say that beating an enemy with a sword is just a matter of swinging your arm. It's the author's job to make the combat interesting and he fails at it. The big duel was just awful. At this point I would say don't bother with this and read "The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs". I am also changing my score to a 2. <<less

Nope. I usually just move on when I don't like a novel, but this is one of those rare instances I'm gonna leave my feedback.

The villainess thing is literally just a backstory for at least the first 20 chaps. This is typical shounen power-tripping. The title seems sooo misleading. 20 chaps in and the villainess is yet to make any real appearance.

The pacing is dumb, character development and world building are virtually nonexistent. This is just another cookie cutter powerup novel with the added twist of otome game mixed in.... more>> Hard pass. <<less

The story regularly skips around to the point where the translator took the time to say that he hadn't skipped a chapter. 24 chapters in and he's yet to face an actual challenge. He just so happens to be an aeronautic engineer so he just fly's everywhere and just so happens to be a gun otaku so his fights are all just dandandandandandandan.

Basically the quality is bellow average but I'm reading it anyways just to pass the time.

Alright, after finishing this series, it's about a 4.

It does take a few aspects from otomege but just a few of the more important ones - the MC, unlike Leon, is proactive, has a goal he's chasing after, and helping the villainess was meant to be a small step in the plan. It takes a lot of chapters as setup, although these aren't really filler chapters because every single piece of that setup comes into play later.

Overall, it's a story that is plotted out well but lacks a bit of... more>> meat on its skeleton. Instead of characterization through showing them in different situations, this is done instead by portraying the same scenes up to three times from the protagonist, the villainess, and the heroine's PoV, which is quite boring to read. <<less

oddly, the otome and other overtones are the weakest part of this story. But it's the point of it so I don't know what to make of it. I'd have rather the author invested more in the peasents then we would care about the town possibly being destroyed later. Now we don't care enough, we barely care about his mom which the author doesn't really write in like a real person. She's like place holder mom-san and you end up feeling projecting on to her instead of the author building... more>> her up into his mom-san.

There's a lot of talent here but a lot of value not shown. I always like when an iskei starts young but inorder to do that well you always have to invest in the child arc supporting case. And bring part of that cast over in small parts. Or call backs or return homes. Just great could have been story.

The solo content is also a little to easy. I won't say more cos it will require a spoiler tag and this isn't worth the effort but. Everything falls into place a little too easily during solo content never really works for it. <<less

It was a mostly fun read, the series taking a dip in the later half of the series. The MC is mostly competent from my perspective and he’s a fun guy to read about. There were some nitpicks with the author tho, like with his two views of history. But it didn’t really mess with my enjoyment. The ending for the main characters were good enough and well deserved after the efforts of both parties. The main antagonist’s punishment, however was basically like out of a Grimm’s fairytale villainess end.... more>> Brutal and (in my opinion) a little too excessive, but if you’re taking account the amount of casualties caused by her you may take another perspective. I DO feel that the mother character was a too underwritten however. For me, the lack of common sense for some other characters felt like some isekai BS so they just slipped. In conclusion, fun and enjoyable to see the further escalating BS the character does but still brain rotting and a big turn-off for the sequel extra and some character and setting writing. <<less

As some people already pointed out it was somewhat fine until chapter 50 or 60. After that the barrage of idiocy came running. Drama that was created for "Drama effect" was iffy and utterly unnatural.

Author created a few plot points to create a first aid kit for his major plot holes. As an example:

MC started to recognize that his mind is adapting to his physical age. Which is kind of correct but wisdom cannot be taken out, you are more impulsive and prone to mood swings but that's all. Your... more>> memory is intact thus your wisdom should be also intact. What did the author do with this move he basically gave a pass for his sloppy work. You need MC to do utterly s*upid stuff to create more drama? Here you go, under the guise OF MIND ADAPTING TO HIS BODY. This plot hole is growing more and more as the time goes on.
I would not say that MC is god but he is godlike and his backing is enough to dominate the whole continent, but he still growels under the nobility and royals. MC literally has the ability to stealth kill anyone and he won't get noticed heck he even has silencers.
People around him at the very convenient time drop their IQ to 60 points. Later on the author made a quick patching job with a staff that gave ability to the bad girl but it does not explain why people were s*upid before she got that stuff.
In any case sloppy work, obvious amateur moves with sloppy bandage work. Story was interesting to read but I will forget it after a week and after a year maybe some remnants will be left, ultimately I will forget it.

Author created an op MC, MC is fairly knowledgeable about his powers and OP skills BUT he still plays the game of a "commoner" and people who know his abilities for some reasons still think that they have "power" in speaking with him.

Author doesn't understand how our world is built. Nobility, elites etc. can do sh*t and create laws ONLY because they have power in their hands. Those who have power create the world order not some make believe "noble blood". This is especially vexing since he gained his memories from previous life as a modern japanese guy. Any modern person with an intact brain and knowing that he can ultimately kill anyone would only entertain the idea of being subservient to others for the sake of entertainment.

Lastly if you read it, take account about his skills and contemplate how the f*ck all the drama that unfolded after he became a 2nd year student came to be..... Author created a monster but this monster was too big for the story thus author decided to make fake drama which couldn't happen if a person with average intelligence would be in our MC's place. If you still don't get what I'm trying to say, he has a special skill "concealment" <--- This skill is so overpowered that he could end the story in a few chapters......... <<less

I think it's a beautiful peace of art, which delves deep into eternal things like hypocrisy, mental disorders and primal sin. And yeah, I just rationalize my post-read thoughts about this masterpiece, as I refuse to believe that there wasn't any higher meaning in my... hm, meaningless suffering.

So there are some thougths from this piece of novel.

    1. If you start (civil) wars and personally kill tens of thousands combatants and non-combatants alike (but with shadow of remorse for five second, of course) because you are MC and wuv Anastasia and wanna be with her - that's okay. It's not okay if war starts with the same reason, but not because of MC, and it must be stopped by all costs. Because bad guys are bad. But it is very refreshing to watch how protagonist becames the same 'dragon' that he was oh-so-motivated to destroy and actually get rewarded for this. That's very original, albeit fully unintentional from author's side, take on the genre.
    1. Fully copypaste first chapters about MC 'growth' and 'achievements' that are non-discernible from any other isekai are still more alive than chapters where Epic War Battles occur and Real Politics Talk happens. That's can only be work of a true talent, of the mad writer (or mad neural network, maybe). Also, almost all the characters, motivations,... more>> features, and worldbuilding elements are not needed and all of them are introduced just because - and thrown away just because. Because this is Spar... isekai
    1. But this thing has purpose, as it can be used as: brain bleach, acute food poisoning remedy, IQ-downgrading drug.
Verdict: 10/1, will definitely read again when I die, go to hell and be tortured for eternity <<less

Honestly, this wasn’t a bad read. It’s nothing show-stopping or anime adaption-worthy, not by any means, but it’s decent enough. The MC, Allen is pretty ruthless when he has to be, but he takes an understandable route to get to that point. He wants to save his mother and the other people he’s come to care about from the chaos that will inevitably come from the “canon” ending of the game (which ends with the city they live in being destroyed). So, he uses his meta knowledge and ingenuity to... more>> claim as many advantages as he reasonably can. Granted, some of those advantages (like abusing Wind Magic and Alchemy to make guns) is a bit much, but, let’s face it, it’s an Isekai. You have to suspend your disbelief a bit.

Besides him, though:

Spoiler

Another factor to consider is Amy, the Heroine; or at least the person who reincarnated into Amy and is trying to take her role in the story. There’s no excuse for her, she’s a horrible person through and through, and constantly plays around with people for the sake of her perfect ending. She wants her luxurious reverse harem life and to hell with anyone who gets in her way. Amy’s the primary antagonist of the story who just can’t comprehend that the world she’s in isn’t a game anymore, and she throws a tantrum when things don’t go the way she wants. She constantly jabs at Anastasia just because she’s supposed to be the Villainess, even after Anna goes out of her way to not be associated with Amy in any way, and she actively WANTS Anna to be bad ended and turned into a living weapon just because that’s what’s supposed to happen. She can’t see Allen as anything more than an NPC, even after finding out he’s a reincarnate like herself. To put it bluntly, you can consider her to be an analogue of Marie from MobuSeka, if Marie didn’t have any redeeming or sympathetic qualities. And, unlike Allen, she’s perfectly content with letting things go down their “proper” path, even if it causes war and destruction in their kingdom. In a way, Amy is a dark mirror of Allen, who, rather than changing things for the better with hard work and knowledge of the future, wants everything handed to her because she’s “special”. It’s the same reason why, later on in the story, she doesn’t become a Saint, but rather a Witch of Envy (hi there Satella!).

Even with all that said, it’s both sad and satisfying to see the crazy bit*h meet her end.

[collapse]

All in all, it’s a bit much to say it’s a carbon copy of MobuSeka (like I’ve seen some reviews state). There are certainly a lot of similarities, but it’s not like this novel’s tr*sh. Even still, it’s something that you only really need to read once. <<less
