It was good, I liked both main leads and the Yu family... If I have something to say against it would only be about the lack of information about the MC's new friends... I wanted to know how their stories developed... The author hinted at some interesting things and I thought we would at least get a proper development and end to their stories, at least a few extra chapters, but nothing. And I was left wanting to know... I wish the author would write a separate book about them...

cute and fast paced story

like in many transmigration novels.... MC transmigrates and becomes a blacksmith's husband with great in laws and shitty natal family

with his knowledge from future he makes good fortune in food industry and takes revenge for the original owner of the body

there are some thinks that I dont like in the story like how mc's uncle beat his wife and all but there are things that I like as well like things about food XD.... and I was really feeling hungry after reading it as I did... more>> some research on the chinese dishes mentioned in the novel hehe

i also like how MC is not that ambitious and wants to have a peaceful life with his silly bear in county town and ml..... he's truly a cinnamon roll...i want to kidnap him for myself lol

This is fast paced, light reading, transmigrated, mpreg novel.

No 20 chapters of how the ex-lover comes back and being annoying.

Ok maybe ex-lover was being annoying for a couple of chapters and some appearances but you get what I mean.

ML is on his goal to make money as early as the first week of his transmigration. MC family is sweet and loving towards and same with MC. He is your typical MC - good looking, sexy with a husky voice but can’t communicate to save your life (although he improves later... more>> on).

Good read! Both the MC Qiao Yuan and ML Yu Dameng, are both newbies in love & relationship.
Qiao Yuan, in particular, is an intriguing blend of intelligence and cluelessness when it comes to matters of the heart. His lack of experience with love is evident, leading to moments where he tests the boundaries with Yu Dameng, occasionally showing signs of jealousy and a tendency to overreact. What's endearing is his introspection, he acknowledges his missteps and strives to be more affectionate towards Yu Dameng.

On the other hand, Yu Dameng is portrayed as somewhat gullible, easily misled by those around him. This innocence contributes to Qiao Yuan's occasionally spoiled behavior, as he's accustomed to being indulged and cared for by Yu Dameng. Despite this, Yu Dameng's character shines as a lovable, silly bear that's utterly endearing.

Let’s be honest, we did what the MC did when we were young & in love. Testing the waters on our relationships but he’s so lucky with the ML!

I finished it through MTL...I like this cute story, though sometimes the MC is too much on teasing the ML

For me, the story is too short to describe the side characters, especially the Pei-ger....I want to know more about him, I am so sad if he will be treated respectfully by the husband without love...

Cute story MC's in laws are good people for a change doesn't have much jealousy, misunderstandings etc. MC is just acting cute with ML and making yummy snacks and a lot of money. The story itself can be deemed as snack too, a happy and relaxing read eve though there are some drama it resolves pretty quick.

I enjoyed finally finding a transmigrate to ancient China and making money with a heartwarming family moments novel. And I liked it until the end. I do wish it was longer and that they would add more details for some things like travel times, the later hiring process, more bonding moments with the s*aves and hired people etc. But well, it has a certain charm when it's written like this so maybe the charm would be gone if they added more stuff. I like it.... more>> Heartwarming family bonding and the money-making were paced reasonably well at least compared to others :) I love the relationships the MC made too. It's nice :)))

Short Summary: Orphan tsundere hardworking MC transmigrates to ancient China after the original body hanged himself in despair because of being married off when he has someone else. Follows the typical make money using cooking and bringing along his family and friends up together.

Plot: 4/5

A more condensed and efficient version of the transmigrate to ancient China to make money storyline. Things go pretty smoothly for the MC. I like how step-by-step the making money part is. Some of the ones I dropped were because there was so much dilly-dallying or additional boring stuff in between or how cheating the money-making was that it completely broke my suspension of disbelief. Or that the MC had a big capital from the start. This one he did small things to get some capital to start doing bigger and bigger things. There is a better sense of progression. It is only that it took a quick few days within the story to get the capital.

My other slight issue is that the author didn't really pay much attention to the physical distance between places. It kinda felt like the MC took a short walk to a shop to buy things when in actuality, the shop is a half-hour walk in the sun outside the village into town. I wish this was included just to make the world immersion deeper.

The progression ends at the town stage which I am happy about. It keeps things within the realm of believability lol. I find when things get bigger, the authors usually get more vague with the money-making details.

Writing/Translation: 4/5

The translation I read is from KnoxT. Pretty good overall. Just some minor pronoun mistakes and one or two name mistakes. But there are lots of hidden footnotes to explain the cultural ancient china things. With some pictures if needed.

Pacing: 4/5

Pretty good actually. I'm kinda impressed. Mostly because I've been reading similar stories but dropped them because the pacing is so bad. Very efficient and condensed. The ending 5 chapters had a sharp danger spike but was resolved within a couple of chapters. And then the last chapter was the house unveiling and a short look at the couple's kid. I wish there were more for these but I also think it's good as is.

Setting/Worldbuilding: 3.7/5

I love all the characters. It's nothing too deep or complex but they are all quite likeable. The Tu family are all sweet and normal people and they help if they can. I love the heartwarming family relationships here. I especially love how the MC has this found family after transmigrating. And he now has the chance to act cute and spoiled with his mother-in-law and the ML after having a short childhood previously. It's nice. All the characters close to the main characters are nice. So genuine haha. And the ML is so cute! Such a big burly gong character but silly, honest and always getting bullied by the MC haha. Similar to the ML in the Stone Age Husband Raising Journal hehe.

Romance: 4/5

The romance is sweet and nice. I love the dynamic between them. There isn't a blushing shy shou and the looming gong here. Kinda the opposite a little bit haha. The MC is the shou and looks like it but he is the one always teasing and bullying the big gong ML. The MC is a bit of a tsundere haha. But the level is always just teasing for a short while so it is short and sweet instead of annoying and uncomfortable to read. The s*x scenes all fade to black and are only hinted at which is good. Since what hints there were is a pet peeve of mine, oof my waist is weak, my legs can't stand up, everything huuuurts because of the wild s*x. It was in a lighthearted jokey way that didn't overstay its welcome :D

The concept is nothing new but I appreciate that despite it's a slice of life it's not dragging the story out. It's a short and heartwarming story about a lonely modern man, transmigrating to ancient times and finding love and acceptance. I really like the interaction between MC & ML. Very quick story that was very cute. It was reminiscent of Reluctantly becoming a wife but with Ge’ers.

Burly soft hearted bear and coquettish tsundere were a very enjoyable couple to read.

Cute but kinda brain dead non-stop OP lvl growth. MC is just a money generator, no sense to most of it. The way he treated ML got on my nerves in the beginning ngl but after they opened up to each other it mellowed down. The only major action/problem happened in the last 5 chapters, got resolved overwhelmingly easily, and then story concluded. Cute read for brainless plot.

Good quick read. Wish it was a bit longer though. There were some parts I wish had been explored further but overall good to read and fun.

If you like novel like "Accompanied by a fool to do farming" and other similar novel with poor to rich setting in ancient china, you'll like this one as well.

The novel revolves around the MC Qiao Yuan, a ger who just got married to a blacksmith and enjoys the harmony, support and care of a loving family. MC is a transmigrator who arrived on the day after the marriage, as the original had comitted su*cide and helps his new family earning money and getting rich.
ML is the blacksmith in question, 3rd son of the family. Despite his intimidating looks, he's gentle and a bit silly. He's just a big, silly bear and absolutely adorable. Just that he's not that good in expressing himself.

The antagonists in this novel would be the childhood friend/former fiance Zhang Wensheng and MC's paternal uncle and his wife along with their daughter who snatched the said fiance.

There's nothing much to say about the story, there's not much drama, but lots of warmth and cooking.

If I really had to point out something I wasn't that happy with, it would be the ending. Since the novel only has 60 chapters, the pace picks up around Ch. 45-50, making the ending seem rushed. Personally I wouldn't have minded if the novel had 80 or 90 chapters xD.

If you like such stories, I'm quite sure you'll like this one as well. Really wonderful and the translator did an incredible job, as there are no typos or anything to nitpick about.

This was a fun read. Both the MC and ML were endearing. I also liked that the ML's family is less problematic which balances the MC's deplorable family members.

This was a short and mostly fluffy story. It ended too abruptly, but I think it was necessary. There were minor conflicts, so a fluffy story needs to be short or it'll get boring. This is worth the read.

Very cute, especially the ML. I enjoyed the change of template.

It was very light, hitting the ancient world notes (farming, hot pot, and evil family) without a lot of depth or angst with an OP MC. So a win in my book for a casual read. Who doesn't want to read a transmigration novel with an OP MC?

I would've liked a lil more chapters on their lives w their kids too! One chapter isn't enough. 😭 it's a slice of life without any angst and only one hurdle towards the end. I did tear up towards the end bcs of his grandmother but that's all.

I enjoyed how the MC isn't here to like conquer the world haha. He's just like an average Joe, with capabilities (to start his own business and have great creativity), and is able to just stay where he is and also enriching everyones life within his area.

reading about his new found family is really heartwarming and I love it very much. Maybe I haven't read much of these types of story but this is rly great to me. I enjoyed it very much. <<less
