So came here from the manhua and just wanted to read the raws to finish current arc but stayed because the MTL was very readable and the arcs were pretty short compared to other transmigration stories so I continued to read to past time but stopped from ch 117. Why?

ML: He never loved the MC.

The MC went into the body of OG MC when ML had already kidnapped him and is in the process of raping him so the ML never loved the MC but the image of his... more>> OG love reciprocating his love. So when MC dies and ML goes crazy (destroy plane) it doesn't feel genuine for MC as this already happened with OG MC.

The 2nd, 3rd and 4th arc were fine as the ML never loved the OG MC but fell in love with MC after he transmigrated into their body but the 5th arc is where I draw the line...why? because it's the same scenario as the first arc but worse.

I can gloss over the first arc because that was the first arc where they met but the fifth arc I couldn't accept because the arcs before, the ML fell in love with MC but suddenly in the fifth arc the ML was already in love with OG MC and again in the middle of raping him, carrying out various ways to torture him for things that OG MC done onto MC.

This feels even more shitty after you read the previous 3 arcs where ML fell in love with MC, have a child, spend a lifetime together and promise to spend their next life together and then the MC wakes up to ML f*cking the OG MC in the fifth arc.

MC: Love/hate relationship with readers.

The MC is badass to others but when it comes to the ML he becomes a heroine from a shoujo manga, after the 2nd arc where they married and have a child, the MC truly fell in love with ML. So he cannot tolerate the ML having others so when there's a sign that ML is having s*x with others or marrying someone else he would kill himself to move onto next world (no pain because of pain shield) which I liked but he somehow couldn't comprehend that the ML loved OG MC and r*ped him in the fifth arc ?? But the trait I hate most is how he tolerates everything the ML does to him, he doesn't mind being tortured for the things OG MC done because it's the ML torturing him but only when there's a sign of ML sleeping around or marrying someone else does he has some dignity.

The only reason why I gave 2 stars is the MTL is very easy to read, comparable to translated chapters so if you want to read to past time then go ahead but you might want to skip the fifth arc. <<less

I gave 5 stars cause even if this novel is absolutely shit, it keeps me entertained enough to keep reading even after 400+ chapters.

The arcs are always so absolutely melodramatic for no reason, it makes my head hurt. The writing is really not the best, and the author has borrowed literally every trope known in danmei for each of the arcs. I skipped a lot of the arcs though.

But I still keep reading. Some arcs have my favourite tropes and keep me hooked. It's nothing but time pass and to read when I absolutely have nothing else to read. It's like fast food. Some of the arcs are good though. One thing I like about the MC is that he is so so in love with the ML. He is lovebrained to the max level, and it shows. But this also makes him naive and s*upid alot of times. MC shows no growth uptill what I have read (437th chapter) (and he acts like a shoujo manga heroine)

To be honest half of the angsty sh*t in the latter arcs is due to the MC himself. Can he just be less dramatic and emotional and just clearly think? Dumbass. Also this couple cannot communicate for shit. You would think after so many arcs MC would have more trust in the ML and would say what makes him angry. But no he just sits there with a pouty face and planning to leave (which he is selfish for, since he knows ML waits for him in every world).

Also MC is probably one of the most incapable transmigrators ever, except that he can fight well sometimes. But that doesn't bother me as I don't like overly OP MCs.

One thing I don't like is how MC is always complaining about getting fuvked to death, I know this is a staple in danmei but it's honestly just so irritating. In every arc there will always be atleast 100 lines describing how hard ML did the MC and how MC is so pitiful cause he can't match up to MLs libido and oh MC's poor waist. We get it author, we truly do, please let this thing go now.

Edit: I can't do it anymore, the MC is just getting progressively s*upider. He brings tragedy upon himself. He behaves like the moronic typical heroine of an abusive romance novel. He purposefully likes to bring pain upon himself. Oh god <<less

Final arc

So let me start with the important fact that I have only read 2 arcs of this novel.

The first arc was clishe and dog blood, but still good.

The second arc has the same story as the first arc, but it was just rebranded.

... more>> I don't have anything against it, but all of the text that I had read meant nothing since I read the first arc and pretty much came up with the rest of the story.

There's also the fact that the MC (Bai Yu?) Started loving the ML as in the villain in the first arc without context. The MC had explained that these feelings come from the affection they had shared. Even though only a couple of days had passed since the mc's transmigration. Then he just claime (mc) loved the ml. Though he didn't say it directly just that he was feeling sour and bullied.

And one last thing the ML is f*cking dumb as in he is oblivious to everything. The backstory tries to tell you that it's because of trauma and whatever, but they don't really get into it only a vauge explanation like

that is everything I wanted to rant about, but keep in mind this is for the 2 first arcs and nothing else as it literally told two stries that are exactly the same even though they have different worlds and sh*t to explore, but its all confined to one single idea of the ML being yandere. <<less

So, there is nothing special about this qt danmei, but Bai Yu's (MC) personality is really hitting my weak points to continue reading this. He is s*upid and love-brained. He is always abused but still didn't learn from the past. Most of the time he makes me frustrated. But, I can't help but say that after reading till 900+ chapters Bai Yu really grows on me. So, I keep reading this.

There are nothing else to say, because... more>> the above reviewer already told you about how this danmei is. Basically it rinse and repeat with some rare fresh air in between.

Don't hope too much with the ML though. This danmei is basically shou abuse 😂

I can rate it as 4. I don't count in what arc I am rn, but it is abt MC being a mermaid. And it was the most heartbreaking I ever read (for now). Damn it, I want to curse ML and said "that's what you get for being s*upid! Serve you right!" But my heart was really breaking along side with ML. It stays longer than I thought. This is a domestic abuse novel, unlike many other of its kind, it made me actually feel more than general disgust. Like anger. It’s still good for the drama.
Abuse is very common in these types of novels and qt novels. Fu**ed up moral lessons are also common. But this one takes it a step further. If you enjoy the sort of drama that makes you feel hate filled disgust towards the ML growing with every arc and helpless incredulity as the MC forgives him after a sorry each time. This is it.
For anyone that has experienced or been near domestic abuse, this will be triggering. You will feel like puking.
This is an actual villain ML with no redeeming qualities. He is an actual terrible human being. And if you have ever seen someone destroy themselves by returning to their abuser, that is the MC.

Of course, it’s not bad to read. Very drama. So if you’re okay with that and want to be angry when you read. Read this. I’ll give it a 4 stars for the drama, and the title does say blackened villain. Though usually novels give them some other decent qualities too, or a character development arc for empathy, or a proper redemption arc. The villain in this book is not decent and is actually a villain both in his life and in his relationship with the MC.
