I read the raws to this novel a while back, so seeing it being translated makes me happy.

The story is sweet and the relationships between the ML and the MC is sweeter.

It's a pretty typical quick wear novel but enjoyable nonetheless.

This is really good. At first I thought that MC is the Shou but turns out a Big NO NO. In this one, MC is the Gong! And the novel plot lines are just my cup of tea.

In the first Arc, MC is a genius Mathematician. The storyline focus on how MC solves all the problems of the og owner. And in the first arc, he has AIDS which he got from being injected by some liquid. (Yeah, he got that fcking disease) Because of that, he and ML can't have s*x for a long time LOL LOL😂😂 ML is also a genius researcher in medical field I guess. He and MC researched and created a vaccine for AIDS together. And the age gap in that arc is like a father and son. LoL😂

I even learnt so many mathematic formulas 😂😂😂😂. That how it is decribed in details. So, the plot line is really great. I just hope that I could read some hot smexy scene, you know. But yeah. This novel focus more on the plotline in my opinion. I hope you give this novel a try.

Recommended to read if you are bored. It's your typical QT. There are good arcs, with in depth story, there are also arcs that are rushed. Over all it is a good read.

About the plot:

• In most arcs, the pairing have a huge age gap. Not less than 10 years but not exceeding 20 years age gap. It was always mention that the pairing's age gap is one cycle. There are also few arcs with small to no age gap.

• MC and ML is often reincarnated as middle age uncles.... more>> Of course there are also few arcs where they are in their 20s.

• MC is often reincarnated with a lot of children and grand children in his knees. Tbh, kind of turn off since the ML is younger than his 1st child. MC is around 40s and ML is in his 20s.

• It's not your typical handsome MC. Often he is reincarnated as middle age uncle that can be called average looking. There was 1 arc where ML's evaluation of his is ugly.

• If you like dog blood, then this is really recommended. The back story is really well made and the faceslapping is really satisfying. I was actually reading this for the face slapping.

• What is unique here is that the villians are almost always a reincarnated person who is in their journey to wealth and fame. But, the original host was implicated, often the stepping stone cannon fodder.

• The ending is kind of rush, especially in the end game and the last few arc.

About the characters:

• MC is the gong while ML is the shou.

• It is your typical love at first sight romance.

• There is no extra drama is recognizing who is who. MC can directly tell who is his lover and the reasoning behind. So there is no dragging of contemplation here.

• MC is really smart. Kind of OP but his wits and cleverness was portrayed well.

• ML is not a damsel in distress type. He is independent and strong, but acts like a puppy towards the MC. Slightly possesive but in a good way.

• Tbh, the age gap is kind of big but it can be accepted. When the description says that MC is ugly, ugh I just skip it, anyway I can just think of him as a hunk hehehe.

• MC is actually already in his 70s when he was binded to the system. Not your typical QT where the protagonist is in the teens or 20s.

Overall 4 stars.

I'm kind of upset the title of this novel is so generic because it's such a good book and a standout for its genre (world hopping/transmigration), but will probably get overlooked alot because of the title. I read this like 3 times a while back, at different times, and while I liked it alot each time I kept forgetting to write a review because *you guessed it* the title is so generic I overlook it despite seeing it time and again. My memories are blurry, but I'll try to give... more>> a decent review for those who need more motivation to read it.

Probably the highlight of this novel is the MC (who is a seme/gong) and the unique setup, with the romance being a bit lighter but with a nice touch nonetheless. I came for the romance, did indeed enjoy the romance, but stayed because the arcs were well developed and the MC was likeable.

The MC, unlike regular transmigrators, dies peacefully of old age before he transmigrates. Hes already mature, already calm, and super rational. And its not him being OP (even though it's a bit of that) it's more he uses common sense and works hard humbly. In the first arc, hes a mathematician who's hooked on drugs and just gotten divorced from his wife for beating her into a miscarriage. His career has been ruined, his name smeared, and hes basically at rock bottom. At one point he event contracts aids. But he takes it all in stride, working to clear his name, fix his career, and even finding the cure to aids. Hes a pretty awesome guy actually. I especially liked the fact that he often got "older" bodies throughout the arcs (think middle aged) because we rarely have books with people outside their 20s/early 30s. His viewpoint also perfectly reflected his age and maturity. Watching him slowly work hard toward fixing the OG bodies lives is really satisfying. The face slaps are too.

The ML (shou) is pretty much the same in all the arcs personality wise, but hes a great match for the MC. He typically falls in love and pursues the MC first. Hes bold and helplessly in love, with a lot of cute things about him that it makes sense that MC gave him a chance first arc. I esp liked the fact that no matter what MC had going on (aids, wife beating rumors, opposite sides of conflict, playboy past, age gap etc just some examples throughout arcs) the ML accepted him unconditionally and inevitably fell for him super hard. The two progress alot as the arcs go on only getting more intimate and sweet (especially MC, he really began to feel "young" and "fresh" due to their romance it was cute). Their s*x life is also very lively, though not that detailed.

The arcs are super blurry in my memory but to give yall a feeling for it I believe we had the first arc I talked about (basically mathematician/scientist thing), we have a historical arc, a ghost arc, a zombie arc (?), and more. All pretty detailed and the author doesn't mind making the MC work hard for his goals, which made it fun. If it's not obvious already, I like the MC a whole lot hes just so damn cool.

So that was a brief review because, like I stated, I read this long ago and kept forgetting to review it. I'll probably go reread this now since I've stumbled upon it again. I'd recommend this to be people who like world hopping novels with decent world building. Or people that like gong/seme POV. <<less

OP MC, but in a smart way.

I don't know what @FYalimar is yapping about, this MC is actually the most relatable one, and it's not insulting our IQ at all.

I'm so sick and tired of "OP" MC who can "turn the world upside-down" because it's practically a plot written by lazy authors who can't even think using their brains, so they'll just stick to "Oh, he's OP, so of course he can do that. Don't ask how."

The MC in this novel literally have no "golden finger" and all his skills... more>> are hard earned.

By the way, this novel is plot-driven, so don't expect romance in every single chapters. It focuses more on face-slapping and how the MC carry out his plan (After all, he's not a brain-dead OP character who can turn the world upside-down.).

The MC is also a very mature man; calm and level-haded. It's a temperament that he had cultivated for so many years. So, don't worry, this novel won't insult your IQ at all, unless yours can't handle it (though this one is actually pretty basic already). <<less

This is one of the few novels where the MC act his age.

In some novels, there are some characters that are over a thousand years old but still act childish, that's just annoying.

But Our MC in this novel is different. He's calm, smart, mature, and stable.

Not all arcs focus on revenge, but it's worth reading.

The counterattacks are brilliant, specially the third and last arc.

It's the MC's Mother in the third arc.

Although they're not related by blood, their journey is really tear-jerking and heartwarming at the same time.

Specially when the MC let his mother do the revenge... IT'S SO SATISFYING!!!

His mother's lies even turned him into a prince, then he won the throne and became an emperor. But the revenge doesn't stop at that. There's more, so you should read it too.

I've trying reading MTL, first world wasn't hard to understand but after that, I just can't understand that much what's going on 😭 and it's stressing me out

Also, I noticed that some translated chapters are missing parts, I don't what to think.... I noticed this because I went ahead and read MTL chapter 15 and if I recall correctly it wasn't the same as the translated chapters link here, it feels like they're just fixing MTL to makes sense. Still gave 5 stars bc yes, it's QT but I never... more>> read anything like the first world and the second seems promising, also the MC died of old age and then was bound to a system, and the host he transmigrate are not young men, they're men in their thirty or forties which it's quite odd and I like it 👍

Hope some good translator picks this up or the translation improves because I really hope to read this story and enjoy the plot and characters essence well <<less

A nicely done transmigration novel with quick witted MC. I truly admired how MC manages to overcome every world by overcoming any obstacles using any sources and skills that he got. But, this novel is definitely plot-driven type. You will get a satisfying resolves of each world but you won't receive many romantic moments. But, those small moments are worth it, which make you frustrated with the writer for not focusing more on the main CP.

MTL was pretty readable.

The best thing is...

The blurred line between good and bad. Sometimes I can't help but wonder is what MC did right? Or what those charecters did wrong? Who is the one to blame?

Well most arcs villains are in wrong actually.

And the arcs aren't really similar to most QT novels arcs.

There is no sci fi or xianxia arc.

Except for counting merit pts and delivering memories system's experience rate is almost nil.

Despite being a seme protagonist novel, that I usually feel a little uncomfortable it was really good and interesting.

Overall a really great read and worth it. <<less

It was a really nice and interesting read.

Gong MC & Shou ML. The relationship is sweet and they basically have a radar for each other ^^' ML doesn't get why he falls for MC often times (cause it happens so suddenly). And MC can recognize him right away (there are no useless misunderstandings).

It focuses on plot more than the relationship though, so do bear it in mind.

The only thing I was slightly disappointed with was that after the doctor from the fishing village arc (since the second ancient times arc)... more>> it felt a little less... detailed? A little bit like the author didn't really feel like writing those maybe? I don't know. It's just that it was shorter than the previous ones and less developed. But other than that I really enjoyed it! It was a nice read overall! <<less

Hey.. This is one of my fav QT. Our MC, MZZ is smart but he is not OP. He was not like other QT MC, always handsome and young and always wanted to jump the ML. He almost always older than the ML, the age gap in the first arc is quite big, they were like father and son. The arcs is not boring at all. I like Seme MC so maybe that's a bias from me but this novel is very enjoyable for me..

Honestly I have mixed feelings for this novel.

I'm not proud to say that I have short interest span- other than that, I promise, when something caught my attention.. even novels that are ridiculously long like upto 1000+. I'm willing to read and waste my time when I'm so invested to the story.

There's times when I'm annoyed by tr*sh translation, nonetheless, still reads.. or go all trouble just to mtl- only BECAUSE I get so curious on what's happening next.

I know I'm too early to give my review, and I'll probably... more>> reread this when I have time- since I'm only on the first arc.

But here's the problem..!

I just don't understand how the ML was sooo "smitten" or in love with the MC when it was mentioned that they're all so busy that they don't have time to talk with eachother. Then time skip to when ML noticed MC looking sick.

then he guessed just by smelling MC that he had hiv/aids- and not even question him with "how did you get it".. like it escalated quickly with "I have money, we'll get you treated" when knowing at that time that it's useless wince there's no cure until the MC made one. Soo.. are you saying that his willing to spend his life with a terminal I'll person?? And waste his youth?

Also if his like other normal person, he would've avoided the MC hearing that his a perpetrators of ab*se.. even if it's just rumours, normal people wouldn't want to dragged. Or just, not avoid but keep on guard.

it sounds immature and unrealistic when all companies trap the transmigrator. And him not being scared of being reported stolen when there's no evidence he studied russian, Italian and so on. Like it's ridiculous just thinking about it, MC's teacher also noticed this and this the reason his involved- but later on, other than one time it was mentioned by a passerby or citizens who's just eating melons, it never mentioned again. And that girl, the one who post irrelevant things to support her idol. She just disappeared, like if there's no purpose of this characters then shouldn't given them names at all. Because it ruin things for me

Like why didn't the antagonist just killed MC right away and gone all trouble to kill the student, then his friend.. also I'm sure he knows that the original owner is the world's protagonist.. if I remember correctly. Since he got married to his wife, receive rewards and have a child but his destiny was stolen.

Also his a teacher yet there wasn't even a scene where he teaches, so like he went on live for couple of months to develop cure for aids and the math research. There's so many, literally so many potholes.

First of all I remember the MC at the beginning just focusing on his task and being straight laced, so who is this shameless and sticky old man later hahaha I really do love the MC and the ML is the cutest😌

worlds are very satisfying and the revenges are very sweet too❤️ Can tell the author rushed the end a bit but still satisfying overall

Put this off for a long time but ended up enjoying it quite a bit!

Checks off basically all of the boxes for me. Our MC is pretty strong. Not OP, but smart and able to use his knowledge of the plot as well as the help from the system store well. The romance with the ML is super cute, I don't always enjoy seme POV but I thought the ML was adorable. As a plus, here we don't have our MC constantly at risk of getting weak kidneys unlike in... more>> another gong QT I read. Instead sounds like our couple has a very satisfying s*x life. Also pretty cool that the author doesn't always make an attempt to glorify the MC, instead making him sometimes old or average looking while the ML is always beautiful. A fun change of pace.

My main gripe would probably be that the first chapter or so talking about the backstory would always be overwhelming in terms of how many names would just be thrown out and with intricate relationship trees too. I often just had to keep reading to determine who exactly were the enemies and accomplices and who didn't wrong the og MC. Maybe would have been better if it weren't MTL. The last chapter where our couple finally meets was way too short but apparently there's a sequel of sorts so I'll check that out. <<less

Although romance is solid, I liked this novel mostly because of satisfying face-slapping and the plot in each world.

Now, my most favorite would would be the first ancient world in which most of the revenge is not done by the MC himself but another character, his nominal mother "Xiao Shi". The way she took revenge was epic. She literally turned the whole chess game upside down.

I think that arc was the most satisfying.

Amazing concept!! Read if you like revenge and drama.

Comparing to the other popular gong MC QT novel "Beloved Husband", I'd say this novel focuses more on the MC's completion of tasks rather than his romance with the ML (plot focused) but still in a light tone.

The only drawback is the ending. Some plotholes are still unanswered

ML is soooo cute. If I were MC I would also get crooked everyday in every world. Lol.

Anyway, it's a refreshing QT novel. It's been a while since I read QT because it gets repetitive these days, but this one is fresh enough. I love that the MC is a stinky old fox who does behave his age, lol.

And I have to say that the first several arcs where brilliant. It was a good read.

The MC is not weak but not strong either, he basically depends on himself to carry out the revenge that the system assigns him, there is no golden finger, he himself is OP but only to the extent of a normal person, he can do things because he has a high IQ, maturity and a lot, a lot of patience and perseverance, which are normal qualities that anyone could have, there is nothing impressive about him... that's fine but it bores me a little, especially because I came for the... more>> slaps to the villains and, it's not that there aren't any... it's just that I feel like they are very slow, the MC really takes his time to hone his skills and learn from scratch, it can take several months before he makes a move against the villains, all this is very realistic, and it makes sense but... it is not very interesting for me, I prefer an MC OP that turns the world upside down, however it does not mean that it is a bad story, there are many readers who prefer this type of stories with a mature and more realistic MC, not one who can do everything from the beginning, so it has quite an audience. It's just not my cup of tea. In summary I didn't like it but I didn't dislike it either, I give it a 3/5... <<less

I really wanted to give this a 5 stars. But my conscience told me I can't. In the middle of the novel you can clearly tell the author has give up on expanding the plot which was so disappointing because this had so much potential.

I love the transmigration system here, the exchange rates of merits and stats + awarding titles is a very good way to see how a host progresses showing in actual stats.

Mc& ML 's relationship is adorable, I love it even they don't need to speak... more>> words. There's unconditional trust and connection. But

We never find out about the ML's background or his story till the end, author didn't expand the plot we get don't get to know anything else but just like the summary lay out the MC transmigrating from world to world wantonly.

The story honestly were pretty good, earlier building the world with alot of complicated fictional information, which all made senses, but than everything got dropped to simple version and repetitive worlds.

The faceslapping are pretty good, and I also like how other characters are factored in. Even MC has children on multiple occasions, it was nice to see him interact with others besides ML.

Age difference really didn't matter at all knowing Who ML was the age gap might aswell be reversed lol.

This is a good read, too bad the new translation there's alot of mistakes I see. I went to read the raw.

But you will enjoy the journey, even though it's relatively short. <<less
