I am the translator of this novel. Hence, this might be a biased review.

This novel is a comedic, light-hearted smut novel. In my opinion, it has many funny scenes because of how blockheaded the FL is. I feel that this novel is like a 'Blockhead yet pragmatic FL' x 'A taciturn domineering president ML'.

To me, both characters have their own flaws. However, I feel there is some character development, in particular the ML. The FL has an 'interesting' way of thinking. However, she is still very rational, which I think... more>> probably explains why she thinks that way. The ML, however, is a taciturn that doesn't really express his feelings. This characteristic probably led to the FL not to realise his feelings. Please also take note that the novel is written in the FL's perspective. Hence, I feel that we, as readers, have to interpret from some details with regards to the ML.

To summarise, these are the pros and cons

Spoiler

Pros:

    • quite a number of smut chapters
    • the deed is mostly done with consent. (Why mostly? I am referring to the ambiguous consent during their first coitus)
    • Pragmatic FL
    • Funny and entertaining
    • Loyal ML
    • There isn't any female supporting character (such as the ml's ex lover or whatnot) that disrupts their relationship.

Cons:

    • Like what I said above, there is some elements of ambiguous consent.
    • The FL is a blockhead. (It's also mentioned by the author in Chapter 29. Hence, it might not be liked by some.)
    • Before the FL finally realised the ML's feelings, she bootlicks him even while doing the deed.
    • Some dog blood elements such as the FL's ex-boyfriend and the best friend that betrayed her.
    • Quite a number of vulgarities seen in the novel.

Is the ML somehow chasing her by never communicating his feelings, having a dialogue with her that always has to do with work or s*x, and literally kissing her /having s*x at any chance he has at spending time with her (I want u to know he doesn't even say a whole sentence when he first meets her before kissing her ever time so far) ?? And he still has the audacity to be mad that she doesn't see his feelings?? Wha....

Ok like ignoring the fact he started liking her bc he likes how she works for him, I don't even know how this romance can go.... It's looking shallow because we know in a real book and situation, the girl might want to be treated more than a secretary in order for the ML to be with her... But idk maybe it happens in the 2nd half of the book, but I don't see it happening.

This is lighthearted in a way that I want to peel off that romance tag f*ck. It's misleading! Unless bc I'm dropping it everything changes but whatever then. There's really too much s*x and little character and plot explanation (not even development lol). I even want to f*cking see that qinqin girl just because she made the ML do things for the MC rather than being her boss and f*cking her all the time.

Very entertaining to read! I love it!

Since I've only read a bit of it I don't know much but I feel that this story is going to be chill but also fun! I always get a good laugh at the MC and ML's interactions kek-

I don't know why the rating is only 3.8 (but then again there's only a total of 11 votes currently) but still, I have a very good feeling about this! You guys try it also!

After reading this, I could only say that sm*t was everywhere in this novel. The plot was there (although barely) but it couldn't compare to the number of sm*t scenes throughout the story.

I know it's supposed to be smut so s*x is expected but that's not a reason for the story to revolve around that 3/4 of the time. And it's not even in different situation, it's just the ML almost raping the MC with the difference that she wouldn't mind it... He's big, has infinite stamina, handsome, almost a mute. She's competent, an airhead, thirsty. Just after 30 chapters I was thinking "please, no more s*x for a while, I need plot" then next 10 chap is just another round of... more>> forceful s*x...

Read if you want to read male dominance s*x scenes, take a pass if you're looking for plot. <<less

So glad I found this story by accident 😉 The smut is lusty, the romance is slow building, there is actual plot building and the dialogue and character behavior is a testament to the author’s really funny sense of humor😆 I always like stories with multiple POVs to be able to see into their heads, instead of a one-sided FL pov. Thanks to the Translator for a smooth read and sharing this story 🙏 I’m looking forward to the final chapters 🤤

Cute amusing story. FL is really dense and slow on the uptake. There's a lot of smut, but in fact the smut is not particularly smexy because both the ML & FL have some amusing dialogue during it. Not to mention, the FL's inner thoughts lean more toward funny then romantic.

The story is all from the POV of the FL, so her snarky thoughts are prevalent in the story.

The only thing that bothered me was that the FL's character was so passive at times. From her ex-BF to her ex-friend,... more>> she was very passive in fighting back with them. They kept coming at her, yet she didn't really respond much. In fact, the FL's best friend had a much more amusing and interesting character than the FL.

If you're looking for a light romantic read, you might like this story. <<less

A light-hearted read with 80% smut. I didn't find the smut too sexy as there were a lot of comedic moments during the s** scenes. Some were nice but it felt repetitive to me hahaha.

I also found the ML to be too narcissistic as he doesn't say much but wants the FL to know that he likes her??? I think author meant to show he's revealing his love through his actions but it just feels like a narcissistic egoistic personality instead. Didn't enjoy that.

It's 80% smut 20% plot so it's perfect if ur looking for a light read and brainless novel. But I do wish there's more interactions between the mains outside and not just on bed doing seggs.

The smut is really good tho and the chapter is short so I finished this in one day. Also the FL is really a blockhead 🤦 and she's too submissive especially on bed but I guess it's bcos they both lusted each other so it's acceptabl. But that's not the main issue here.. Like I... more>> really hope no women out there is as blockhead as nian nian cos she might get smack in the head.. The ML affection for her is as clear as the tap water in my house and everyone can see it like literally everyone in the office and their acquaintances can see it except for her. Ah but it's also the ML fault like he's supposedly pursuing her but all he did is f**king her so it prolonged the ambiguous "relationship" so they both dumb I'm conclusion

And Although the author already said in the beginning that the FL is a pure blockhead don't take it too seriously yet it's still frustrating at some point

This a good rom com with great snu snu! Actually read this for the smut but gotten more with It’s very light hearted romance, and little blocks head MC. Love the funny snu snu situation with boss ML. Love MC open minded about s*x, which is quite realistic.I love MC funny monologue. ML quite typical, but also sweet. But of course he’s a stud in a typical story level. Really love their interaction and it’s a good entertaining read. Tq

Dont expect too much. I accidentally gave it 5 star but really it on 3. If you are looking for a smut, just plain smut this is for you.

Whenever the two of them got together inside a room they will have to had s*x. There's a lot of smut scene that I find myself skimming through it. I find it meaningless not even passionate. It had too much smut to my taste and the minimal plot is also not helping. It was hot at first but not fiery. Passionate? No... more>> and the fl's comedic undertone making the smut less smutty. <<less

This is a whole package of novel for entertainment purposes. There are light, fluffy, funny, smutty and nice plot. The FL is naive girl, because of her naive character makes this novel funny and I laugh many times. The ML is her boss and his social status high above her, that’s why she doesn’t dream to have relationship with the boss, especially because the boss doesn’t talk to much.

I recommended this novel for anyone who like smut with comedy.

eventually I got sick of the smut bc its just smut but the smut scenes are the best scenes because the FL can't stop talking nonsense lmao. the comedy is on point! sometimes I 'm just like "girl stopppp, you're making the situation worst." LOL

anyway- you really have to read this for the comedy. the FL is a special kind of person lol. this is not a serious novel so dont go into this novel thinking you'll get something deep. the only thing you will get is laughter

Light on plot, heavy on smut. ML is a cliché and catches feelings a little too early for my taste. And get this novel is so funny I don’t even care. I haven’t laughed this hard at a book in years. The FL is a walking disaster and I love every second spent in her head.
