This is one of that novel that has an amazing premise and pretty good plot progression yet ruined by either the translator, the author themselves or both.

The premise of this novel is similar to the Tr*sh of the Count Family, except the MC truly abused his power and did whatever he liked unlike Cale's tsundere altruism. The plot progress really nicely, the comedy is pretty on point and there are interesting twists here and there. The MC is fine, and the side characters did leave some impression at the very... more>> least so there isn't much to nitpick about in that sense.

Now, the thing that drag this novel down is the narration, the author wrote in the "don't tell, show" style but he did a terrible job on it, he gave no context about the world building and keep introducing new things without elaborating anything, the paragraphs were usually long but it either gave out repeats or no new information at all, thus making everything more confusing than it already was. Another problem was the scene shifts in the novel felt really awkward and abrupt, for example in one scene MC is musing alone about something then suddenly the scene shifted into a meeting room where MC talked with a lot of people about the thing that was completely different than what was the previous scene about, there was no elaboration about the previous scene and the author didn't bring it up again until a few chapters later.

Then there are the translators, the first translator felt like he was using MTL with minimal editing, making the story more of a jumbled mess than it already was while the second translator did a good job, he really need a good editor because the translation felt really rigid and the words didn't flow that well.

The novel didn't turn into unreadable mess because of this, it just made the whole reading experience painful if you try to think about it, thus making turning your brain off completely and trying not to think too much about it the best way to enjoy this novel, which is a shame since the world building and the details of this novel seemed really interesting.

Anyway, giving this 3* as of chapter 64, it isn't terribly bad and still a fun novel to read, I personally wouldn't actively recommend it to anyone though. <<less
