Don't know why anyone would give it lesser than 4 stars, but it's so good! At the start I was a little restless, but when it reached chapter 40 or so, it becomes better and better! This is mainly fluff, and when I tell you it's fluff, there isn't much political drama (one would expect from empire kinda settings, there are some fights but they get resolved easily). I would say this is more of a slice of life. I really like this one because of the main CP. The... more>> ML is your typical tyrant, OP, badass BUT he's super respectful and consensual... Who doesn't like a character like that? MC is your typical tsundere shou, but he soon falls in love and it's so cute. I just love their banters- plus, there's kids in this novel! <<less

Thank you for Chrysanthemum Garden team who translate and brought this novel to readers like me. I like this novel a lot!!! MC is the witty, funny, and innocent type.

At first, ML has bad impression of MC then gradually MC changed it by showing with action that he isn't a tomboy and problematic omega. I like how MC communicate with his ghost friends. It's funny and heart warming

Spoiler

MC then brought back ML's former colleague and make a grand feast so the living colleague and the dead can communicate

[collapse]

In conclusion this is a heart warming and fluffy novel with a cool MC (cause MC also has a bad-ass moment) and a "family oriented" ML.
Spoiler

there are also a side couple too and cute little babies

It's a good story to pass the time. Not a lot of plot, but it's okay since the dog food was good. The side CP is really cute too. I wish they showed more of their story but it was still cute. Overall a pretty average story if not for all the fluff and the interesting supernatural bit.

3 stars mainly because it had no real plot or at least it didn't feel substantial. It's a nice story to read but also easily forgetful. I loved the scenes with the babies and the side CPs were well developed. It's ABO but also the beta males can get preggo in this too. It felt like it should have just been a carrier/get verse since it mainly depended on fertility compatibility.

Hahaha I feel a bit misled by the summary/title. It was really only there for a moment, like ML did... more>> some trickery so even when he did do good stuff, he was always docked flowers for his little tricks. And then MC went into heat long before ML got the full goal. I wish there had been a little more that was closer to the summary but it was a good story. It was sly fox vs resourceful bunny (though he can be a little dumb)

I did really like the world building of the planet after natural disasters (even if I want to poke a bit of fun at the whole "calling the entire Earth China" even though when they land on it it was actually elsewhere) and of course the ghostly parts. I like that they modernized it to provide more easily for the ghosts I thought the inclusion of the scripture was interesting even if I didn't fully understand it, the few other supernatural books I've read glossed over it. It was nice to see them try to return the belief in the supernatural (and succeeding) but there was a point where the actions the military was taking made me think there would be a betrayal/abuse of the ghost power but no?? It was weird.

There's really no real plot to it and where there was plot... it didn't feel like much. Like you're more likely to remember the fluffy, humor or embarrassing moments over the coup plot. I honestly forgot if they punished the villain or not (they did via imprisonment but like the subordinates under the guy got it worse). I kept looking at the guy like how desperate & s*upid can you be, stop while you're still alive. But I do have to agree it seems strange that they put a lot of effort into commercializing the underworld. Like sure they give some of the ghost jobs or exchange buried goods for ghost currency but it's not exactly fair to everyone. Also why can't the ghosts share space with the humans? It seems ridiculous to set aside land just for ghosts to use on a planet where space is limited. Like maybe I'd understand if it was like a graveyard for actual dead folks but no it's just for ghost houses or businesses??

Spoiler

I feel like the author could have done some more explaining with the past life because it confused me for so long. Like they were knocking you over the head with the foreshadowing but at one point I was like "are they related?!?" Because they were both referred to as son of the emperor but they were talking about the underworld & the heavenly courts. Surprise it's not the old fox who's the ghost king's son but the heavenly emperor's. The confusion came from MC had giving him most of his ghostly powers that's why ML is OP in current life. The actions of the emperor were confusing like he didn't want them together so he cursed MC yet also saved the soul of his grandson and the baby ended up reincarnating as their child again. MC was so cool when he wanted to protect his kids. The last parts were really just a pair of gods and their godly children.

First of all, let me just clarify that this novel has nothing to do about "red flowers".

It was just a 1-2 chapter thing, which meant the Alpha had to do good things in order to obtain "points (flowers) ". But it really wasn't something to focus on.

Otherwise, coming back to the main story, it was very eventful and wholesome. It was not primarily focused on the romance and had other background stories and points that also needed attention on so I was very entertained.

Trust me, read this book. There is... more>> a greater chance you will not regret it. <<less

Ignored the title, ignored the summary, it's not about that! Sure the content of the title and summary exist, but it was literally only 1 % part of the story! The story is more Wilder and Amazing than I would ever expected!!!

Seriously! Supernatural stuff that I didn't expect... There's also faceslapping moments.... The Special Ability Moments... I'm being spoiled. I had expect cuteness and fluff from this novel, but I didn't expect a Rich Wonderful Flavours also exist here as main dishes!

The MC and ML is Absolutely Wonderful Characters. And... more>> the Supporting Characters is equally wonderful!!! That's only put it in simple words because seriously, just enjoyed it!

It might not be Perfect, but to me this Novel is Absolutely Perfection! It has Everything I LOVE!!! And then Wonderful Ending! How can I not Love it? From the bottom of to Heart, with every inch of My Heart and My Soul, and My Eternal Love for the Eternity and Beyond, I LOVE THIS THAT MUCH!!! <<less

Very cute and simple story! Although there is almost nothing to do with the red flowers, the summary does set the tone of the relationship between the two, that is, indulgent and sweet. The sci-fi aspect was interesting where they were living in a different planet and technology seemed to have advanced, but there were no aliens and everyone was mostly either human or ghost, and only MC and ML seem to have any supernatural powers. MC's powers initially seem to be related to taoism/buddism divine-powers. The ABO aspect was... more>> present but not a heavy focus in this story, so for those who are not a big fan of ABO, it's probably still ok to read this. Ghosts were quite a big aspect of the story, especially the first half of the story, since MC can speak to them and wants to give them a better afterlife.

The story was overall actually pretty simple. No overly complicated drama or plot just a step by step, cute development of the relationship and rebuilding of the world. It was neither too draggy nor too fast or boring for me, so I really like it! Surprisingly a very good light read.

It is a good story with a great storyline and combination of interstellar with supernatural beings. It was fun to read. I must say though that the title is really misleading- I originally thought that it would take place in the ancient times and honestly, the little red flowers is mentioned at most twice in the story, and the ML really does not collect them. I personally think that the title should be changed. I would originally give it a 5 rating but somehow after finishing the whole thing, I... more>> still think that it could have been more elaborate. The conflict was over very very fast. I do love the parts on the buns but somehow the author emphasized on only one of them- I know the reason behind it but the other 2 buns should have also received their moment of glory. Overall, it is a good read, pretty light. <<less

First of all the story has nothing to do with the title or description. Hell red flowers come only for 2 chapters in whole novel. But still the book is really good.

It was surprising for me to find this subject in a interstellar book. You'll know when you read it cause it isn't in the tags.

The book is almost pure fluff with a little lacking storyline if you are here for heavy story... Nope its only fluff with little story. Still a good read when you are bored with all... more>> heavy stuff.

Translation is good too.

The star is deducted for misleading title and description. <<less

For the most part, this novel had nothing to do with the description so one star off for that, but I'm still really glad that I read it. But other than that, I don't have anything to complain about. A lovely novel with its own action and mystery which kept it flowing.

Sigh.

This novel is... okay. That's my problem, I guess, because for that reason I became disinterested with the story. It's pretty monotonous and I feel like I'm just waiting for a few things to develop.

I had a problem with two core things:

  1. The relationship itself is boring. Not much is here. Gong is immediately into his wifey and... yep. It isn't bad but it's just... boring. Wifey is a bit foolish and silly at times, husband is being sly and cunning... there isn't much tension to make their relationship interesting, nor have any plot points surrounding that relationship that could make it interesting.
  2. The plot itself is... what's the plot? I'm fine with more slice of life novels but it needs to have interesting characters and relationships... so... what am I reading for?
Anyways, tl;dr, it's boring. I got bored. A shame...

Cute, no unnecessary drama and a half misleading summary and tittle lol - the red flowers thingy is more of a flirt between leads and lasts for 3-4 chapters at most.. Better summary is: after dying and being married off by his neglectful family to a general, MC starts a supernatural club and helps defend against an alien invasion and restores the order in the underworld. Also, no implicit content, so don’t expect lemony paragraphs.

over all, leads are Mary Su, but its such an uncomplicated and smooth read, aided by... more>> the amazing translation that you can happily enjoy the story with a healthy dose of fluff. Many plotholes though..

like why MC never summoned his new life’s mother but apparently craved familial love? Amongst other stuff my brain is in the process of deleting from my memory

[collapse]
but if you ignore them it should be okay.

4, 5/5 would read again when needing something mindlessly fluffy - biggest impression is: ML’s big fish’s skills of implanting little fish eggs in MC 3 or 2 at a time. <<less

It's a nice story, but don't expect a complex and well-sustained plot. It's just a light read with plot holes and some nonsense. At some points it's repetitive. I recommend it if you want to read something light after an exhausting plot.

Super cute!! Though it has been said by others already but... it has nothing to do with flowers. In fact the flower agreement was only around for a few chapters if that. (if my memory serves me right, I'm writing this review a few months after reading.) I picked this novel up because of the flower agreement dynamic and was initially disappointed, but after reading more I started to love the novel for what it was. The summary is very misleading and should be updated in my opinion, but... more>> a very good read nevertheless. I enjoyed it a lot.

the interactions between MC and ML were cute. I have read a lot of BL novels over the past few months and this is the first novel I read with a ML that I didn't dislike by the end of the novel. I ended up getting used to male leads becoming more and more scummy and toxic over the course of the novels, but surprisingly ML and MC had a great relationship throughout the story. I enjoyed the fact that ML and MC slowly started to love each other over time, though the ML did have some sort of attraction towards MC right away it was not to the point of instantly falling in love and jumping all over the MC.

Now I want to talk a little about the Mpreg. The Mpreg was a huge plot point for the novel and it made some really cute moments, but.... I really wanted to see more of the kids. Yes, we did get to see the kids, in fact it was the only Mpreg novel I have read where it doesn't cut off without showing the kids, (to be fair probably due to the fact I mostly read QT novels) but it felt like we didn't get to see much of them as characters which was sad as they were there for a solid amount of time nearer to the end of the novel. One of the babies got development while it felt like the other two were only going along for the ride.

Is this novel re readable?

not really. it was a fun and cute story for a first read but after that I think it would lose its appeal. though that is my own opinion and others might feel that's wrong. <<less
