despite it being made clear ML was only a few years older and MC being mentally older, it was still facing pe*o??? I don't know how to explain it, but I think its because it was emphasized a few times that MC is younger than ML even though by not much. And it feels so abrupt despite the earlier buildup for their relationship. Their relationship was mature and not really sweet, it kinda felt like a business-like relationship.

The MC does spank her younger brother but she explains to him why she's doing it. She also clearly explains that she would never hit him in one of the dangerous places (like the head for example) or out of anger. The MC also defends him when his mother loses it and starts beating him all over.

There is also further contrast in the fact that the MC's stepmom likes to pinch the MC's half-sister to the point of leaving purplish bruises. Everyone outside the stepmom flat out states that it is wrong to hurt a child like how she was doing to her kids. The MC even threatens her not to hurt the MC's half-siblings.

To balance that all out, the half-brother also quickly grasps the concept that he will be rewarded if he behaves. Like having a day out with his sisters or the installation of a VR room in their basement.

In fact, she is the one who instigates their first s*xual encounter but this isn't until she's like 18. He also respects her decision not to marry and doesn't ask again after the second proposal.

She helps her half-sister become a much more outgoing person and supports her against the bullying from the half-sister's mother.

She educates her half-brother and prevents him from becoming the hooligan he had been in her previous life. In fact, her impact on his life is such that he becomes a complete and utter nerd as opposed to a rapist. He does remain perpetually afraid of her but he also learns that she is always there for him if she needs him.

She actually gets into a fancy college after studying hard for three years. She also prevents her "plastic friend" from ruining her (the MC) life as well as the life of the guy they both liked in the previous life. Her impact on his life is significant as he died shortly after she did while on the way to her funeral but in this life, he became a successful star (even starring in his favorite movie from the previous life).

She figures out that her father is always chasing a younger woman and tries to convince him not to divorce her current stepmom (as the MC has already figured out how to deal with the stepmom and no longer fears her like she did in the first life) by explaining his side piece just wants him for his money and would probably be looking forward to his death. Hilariously, she convinces her dad to get a vasectomy and not to remarry ever.

Basically the nephew was delusional and believed that he was the young master of the Zhang family (the MC's family) and even tried to order around the MC's father. He legit wanted to post nudes of her naked in the shower as a way to get revenge on being kicked out of the MC's house as he believed she was responsible (in reality, it was his own s*upid behaviour that did not sit well with the MC's father).

With the movie, the MC accidentally stumbled into an investment opportunity for it and decided that it was a good idea based on her knowledge of the previous life. Her father and grandmother still made her develop a plan (even used a PPT lol) to showcase why they should invest. From there, she begins to realize that she must come up with a plan and not arbitrarily base her decisions on what she already knew as she was also a defining factor in things changing (she did, however, make several hundred million on her investment).

And finally with her death, she began to track down the drug dealing guy responsible for it. Originally, she had intended to show up there that day and meet the ML but their paths intersected long before that. Eventually, she discovers a connection between the drug dealer and her plastic friend which results in her suspicions that her plastic friend may have helped arrange her death.

While they don't initially get married, they do have a little boy who takes the ML's surname. It also becomes clear that the MC is the heir for the Zhang family as her cousin messed up. Eventually, the MC's life is becomes awesome and she finally decides to marry the ML with her own proposal. He, of course, has been carrying around his family's heirloom ring the entire time just in case.
