In the previous life, Wen Yu forcefully kissed Ji Anning, and she slapped him hard enough to make his mouth bleed.

“You… don’t f^cking believe that I really like you, do you?” He wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth with his thumb.

“Your so-called liking is nothing more than being attracted to my looks,” the impoverished student Ji Anning coldly replied.

Later, Ji Anning’s soul drifted and saw the true feelings of the wealthy man who had been pestering her all along. He stood on the rooftop, gazing at the dark night, and whispered, “I have avenged you.”

With a single thought, Ji Anning is reborn to her first year of college. At this time, she hasn’t died yet, and his hands hasn’t been stained with blood for her.

“Ji Anning, don’t even think about escaping from my grasp,” he released her lips and held her jaw viciously.

“What do you like about me? Isn’t it just being attracted to my looks?” Ji Anning smiled slightly, tiptoed, and kissed Wen Yu’s thin and sexy lips.

When I first saw you in the crowd, I saw you inside my heart. I want to shelter you from the wind and rain and hold you in my arms.

[At first glance, it’s you. You’re everything to me, in life and death.] ***

In her previous life, the impoverished girl Ji Anning was pursued relentlessly by a wealthy second-generation man named Wen Yu, whom she found annoying. Later, she was forced and coerced into falling to her death, and her soul drifted in the world. However, she saw Wen Yu, who killed her mu*derer with his own hands and went to jail because of it. Ji Anning was reborn and devoted herself to protecting Wen Yu’s peaceful life. The once violent and paranoid Wen Yu showed Ji Anning a different kind of tenderness.

sorry for bad english

my commnet may have spoilers or clues of the story so.

despite high rating I ddint like this novel. Cause the whole novel I felt author was trying to make me accpet their values and believes. Believing all women want to be rich lazy fancy things and all more than anything. And even the FL was just cintrolling it not having. Cause she believed if she gets mls money she would get used to a comfortable life and she cant go back to preivous poverty and hardwork. This... more>> idea made me really pissed off that instead of thinking that yeah WY will abandon me and I will have one sided feeling all shes thinking is pride or whatever. And the reason for not accepting money from ml. It really surprised me. Cuase the more reasonable reason woud be: everyones money is for themselves and resposisbilty. You cant get free things from others you know wont be even a family.

but despite these things I saw many women that value feelings and morals much more than money. And it was also funny that author was trying to blame women who love mony but didnt say anything about how bad is these boys behavior that change girlfriends like clothes or dont take responsibility. Lile ML friends or even himself. And even FL boss at the cafe teria. He made girls wear clothes that men dream (?) about them in mind. Even mentioning it but not pointing at him.

reason tha I gave it at least 3 stars despite thsese things was beacause of mls father he was the only really good character the whole novel villains getting proper ending and punishment and FL not clinging to past. <<less

I finally could understand why this novel got a high rating because it's really a good read.

MC's character was well done made and quite realistic. After her rebirth, she didn't suddenly become adept at scheming or somehow acquired some superpower/system that would help her in her second life. No, she was still that simple and hardworking girl but she got more mature after experiencing her first life. She tried to correct her thinking and it led her to take a different action compared to her previous life. ML indeed was... more>> to domineering in the previous life and MC was plagued by nasty rumours because of it but the rebirth MC knew that if only she tried to dispell the rumour since the beginning and not let it spread until it's out of control, maybe the outcome would be different. She also tried to communicate calmly with ML instead of being fierce like in her previous life and it turned out, ML could understand although not because he could emphatize with MC but simply because he liked her and didn't want to make her sad/angry.

Speaking of ML, he wasn't considered a green flag type of ML. He wasn't actually a good guy and MC knew it but he really treated MC well. I didn't speak about their previous life but in their current life. The past ML actually liked MC a lot but since MC refused to communicate with him, he didn't know what he did wrong with his pursuit. It's simply because they grew up with different environment and value. ML, who was born with silver spoon couldn't understand MC's struggle and vice versa. However, after they communicated with each other, they finally could understand each other's view and with that, we could see ML and MC's growth towards the better.

My another favorite character was Father Wen who was a really good father. Like ML, he was also a playboy in his youth but when he had ML, he did his best to nurture him and other than being a playboy, ML really did well in other aspect of his life. Even after he knew a heartbreaking fact about ML, he still treated ML like a precious thing. He also didn't look down on MC because of poor background. I'm really gonna miss him a lot. <<less

FL died tragically in her youth while being chased and schemed against various people. After death, she can occasionally peak on the current world if someone calls her name. So it is only after death that she realizes that the stalker pest who always relentlessly pursued her went and got revenge for her death and was also put to death because of it.

After her Rebirth, she tries to correct some of her shortcomings from her previous life. It's interesting that she doesn't come back with any super powers or even... more>> knowledge that will make her rich or prevent any bad things from coming. Instead, she's come back with a different attitude in life. Avoidance or ignoring gossip and slander is not the correct approach, so this time she will nip that in the bud.

As for the ML, while she doesn't love him, and believes he is only after her body. She still wants to prevent him from a mu*derous life because of the regret she feels in his death because of her cause. In this life, while she doesn't accept his pursuit, she is able to put down some of her stubborn pride and accept friendship, help, and perhaps love.

The main idea I liked about this series is that the FL is pathetically poor, having to support herself and her grandmother, while still going to school. She rushes about doing multiple part-time jobs, and ignoring all sorts of pursuits and gossips about herself. In first life, she didn't want to depend or rely on anyone for help. Now in her second life, her mindset has changed slightly. What's the point of saving so much, if she can't use it on her grandmother now? What's the point of working so hard now before graduation if she can't have a better education to get a better job in the future? What's the point of dangerous jobs like being a wine girl in a bar if it may cause her death eventually?

In addition, the FL is poor, doesn't have all the information she needs to solve issues, and has absolutely no power to speak of. So realistically she can't fight against fate at all. I love that she realizes this situation and just tries to subtlety influence the ML to solve issues himself. This time, it's a matter of lives at stake, she won't stand on her stubborn pride and will let herself rely on others for help.

There's no smut, but it's implied. The romance was well done. Both ML and FL really go through some mental growth to fix their shortcomings. The plot of the various conspiracies was also well done, not too overly exaggerated and unrealistic.

For the first time, I don't see a father being jealous of his wife spending time on his kids either. In fact, it's kind of amusing that he's semi-jealous of the attention his first born child gets from his own father.

Overall, it's good romance story, where you don't need all the bells and whistles of a rebirth story. You just need a change in mindset. <<less

This was a solid 3.8, but I'm giving it a 5 for one character and one character only.

Daddy Wen.

Yea, we could talk about character development and the FL and ML coming into their own, but I'm not here for that.

... more>> Daddy Wen is the GOATiest GOAT to have ever GOATed.

Daddy Wen never left for milk; he turned the backyard into a dairy ranch and had the cows flown in and carried the buckets himself to him son.

My respect, love, and absolute emotional thirst for Daddy Wen cannot be fully described in anything except for interpretive dance accompanied by animal noises.

I want to be the ML's stepmom, take care of Daddy Wen, and be buried beside him when I die.

5/5 cuz I have obvious daddy issues. <<less

MTL is fairly easy

Our MC and ML are flawed that's why they had such a bleak ending in the first life. In the second life, MC tried her hardest to rectify it

But understand, it's not like our MC did anything wrong in her first life. The ML and her killer were rich kids that use money to harass her and she was strong in protecting herself.

But, in the second life she understand being strong bullheadedly is not the correct way. A shiny spine is beautiful, but you have to be... more>> able to bend and stretch according to situation. Yes she get a fairy tale ending with the domineering CEO but for the rest of the readers the point of her character arc is to show that interpersonal relationship is important and don't directly fight fire with fire. Showing weakness is not being weak, and even though you are 100% in the right (ML and killer was 100% in the wrong to harass her) if you don't give yourself room to maneuver you will arrive at the dead end.

We will never get second chances and relive our life. If things go up to a point, don't jump. <<less

Actually a novel with character development wtf is this even real? Truly a unicorn amongst all other stale “idealized” novels (although most other side characters are lackluster but I’m satisfied with the leads so whateva).

Ji Anning is a tough and hardworking girl due to her unfortunate circumstance, so she’s act closed and prideful which caused people to misunderstand due to her cold front. It’s kinda wild too due to her being physically attractive that spurs jealousy amongst females and males just want her body and her as a fantasy. Pretty... more>> privilege is real that brings benefits and more of its own suffering. It’s so tough imaging in her position... with no support to fall back onto if she fails or falls sick or get endangered. Not just financial support but also emotional support which gets forgotten a lot.

Wen Yu likes her looks like all men and wanted to tame her with his riches & manipulations oh hell no. I absolutely hate handsome rich playboys tropes omg please I feel like authors are trying to brainwash innocent girls thinking you could change a man when you think you understands him and believes that he “loves” you. Playboys have this lifestyle because they’re insecure + finding love is a disappointing lottery game + they’re too used to it to stop/change is taxing. The silver lining in this is that ML is a gentleman despite his cold relationship with his mother. I know it’s fiction but there’s just too many and scared of this subliminal message, so think of this as a PSA.

Anning softened on him after he died for her (he’s not a bad guy that will harm her but don’t love just because you are grateful/pity someone). She’s pretty aware of the kind of person he is which is relieving and allowed him to be near her as she understands how his mind works. We love a smart self-aware woman. They brings out change into each other lives and do think of the other person circumstances, so they’re healing each other at the stage before they’re in a relationship which I am perfectly fine with! He’s really frank with his desires and think his liking for her looks (that she thinks as shallow) and everything of her as true liking which I respect his view and honesty. <<less

You know I tried this out for the fun of it yesterday, Stayed up just to read and MTL this and I'm finally finished.

This story is wonderful, although I find that I disagree a lot of the ideologies/values mentioned (see later) All in all it is brought with a lot of nuance and isn't made to be black and white or good and evil that it's more of "agree to disagree" type of opinion than something that is thoroughly f*cked up but is normalized like a lot of other novels... more>> often bring.

The main characters are incredibly likeable, surprisingly, I thought I'd hate the man when he first appeared but at most it's just a slight irritability that quickly goes away. The author is very keen on the subtlety of social interactions, exaggerated slightly to fit the fictional setting.

This knowledge is also reflected in the side characters, even villains and how conflict arose. I've read quite a few webnovels (I've a reading list of over 200 works now) and I find a lot of them tending to add a new character, suddenly making a new relation just to create a new conflict or plotpoint, patching up plot holes that appeared along the way. However this novel introduces conflict very subtlety, a conversation that seems to just be an everday conversation became the foreshadowing of a huge conflict.

Spoiler

For one, in the chapter where MC finally met with a girl who lured her into the trap that eventually got her killed, Yu Xia, another girl who's a close friend to the MC (Bai Lu) went to pick up flyers. After that she mentioned that she was kind of disappointed that they turn out to be ads for student loans, she wished that it was a credit card ad instead, since she wants a new one with a bigger limit.

This set up genuinely seem like a very casual conversation, you don't think much of it until much later, as Bai Lu gradually end up becoming tempted by the prospect of using student loans to buy for her entertainment and got caught up in a lot of debt with which another friend of MC basically forced her to call her parents and settle the situation before it gets worse. It also ties in to the Yu Xia girl however what's the point of me spoiling it here.

[collapse]

The characters although based on a lot of stereotype are incredibly well done, it also doesn't do the incredibly annoying plot point that a lot of reincarnation/second chance stories do which is "Because I've seen the future I have the knowledge of how the economy of the future works so now I will become insanely rich because I know every detail of who's famously succesful and pick them up and support them."

Ah but if there's a few things that I'm not completely fond of in this is some of the few ideologies mentioned.

For one which didn't sit quite right with me was how the ML courted her so forcefully in the past life because she rejected strongly, and the reason he's being gentle in this life is because MC rejected him more softly. Of course the ML ended up improving as a character along the line but it still didn't sit quite right with me is the insinuation that MC was partly at fault for the ML treating her horribly. Similarly there is quite a few patriarchal views in this novel despite the fact that they did try to shake out of it. Though again the author wrote it with much nuance so it isn't entirely correct either to say it as simply as I did which is why I do just regard it as a difference in opinion.

This story is simply a great read and definitely something I would think back to, a LOT. I'm gonna have to look out for more of this author's works. <<less

I really wish I could reply to reviews, cause... more>>
Spoiler

there are a lot that are blaming the MC for rejecting the ML firmly in past life, as if it is her fault that the ML couldn't take no for an answer, as if her no isn't enough and she should be kind and gentle and try make him understand as if he isn't an adult already. Also my second point is that in second life the ML behaviour changes with the MC being more gentle to him. Feel like that is pretty problematic and casts blame on the MC for how her past life ended up when that ML could have just stopped harassing her. This is also why I don't like that they end up being together regardless of his development throughout the story. Wish she just used him to survive then cut him off completely in the end tbh

It was a good read! Translation was great too, and the rest was an easy MTL. I enjoyed the character development and the surprising depth and tragedy of the story, along with the implied premise for reincarnation.

I did have some issues with the novel which led to not being able to give it a full 5 stars. It's mainly centered around the fact that even the good men in this story just cannot seem to take "No" for an answer. It's quite a pissing contest at times over the FL,... more>> and I got quite mad at one Guy A character (who existed only for face-slapping and got off far too easy) who wouldn't give in even after FL told him multiple times she was already taken. A woman shouldn't need to prove anything to reject a suitor! Arg. <<less

One of the strengths of this novel is the consistent character development of the main leads. The tragedy of their first life is mainly due to the ML's wrong approach and the MC's stubbornness. In their second life, the MC still retains her stubborn trait but settles her pride and view things more openly. The ML then learns to support the MC differently through companionship instead of blindly throwing money at her.

The MC is realistic and doesn't let her past knowledge get over her head. She doesn't blindly fall in... more>> love with the ML and is careful in her approach. She don't think she's omnipotent and asks for help. For example, she recognized a person in her past life and knew they had to be careful about him. She first tries to covertly figure it out on her own but she when she realize she doesn't have the capability to deal with him, she doesn't force it and tells the ML instead. I've seen too many MCs who tried to do things on their own but failed and create unnecessary misunderstandings.

The ML's character growth is more significant and gratifying. I think it is largely due to the MC giving the ML a chance to show his gentleness. We'll get to see how the ML was interested in the MC superficially to liking her because of who she is.

Side characters are quite nicely written and I liked the ML's father the most. It's nice to see some good father-son relationship as most novels are so harsh on them as if fathers and sons can only ever be enemies.

The last 3/4 of the novel took a dramatic turn quite suddenly. It was a bit surprising how the novel showed that there is a price to be paid for rebirth as the overall tone of the novel wasn't all that gritty.

Spoiler

For example, when the MC's grandmother death was the price for rebirth. MC dreamt about being placed on a scale and some black matter flowing out of her. Initially, I thought the ML was the reason for her rebirth and since the ML killed someone in his past life, the MC is paying the price of that life with her grandmother's life hence the balance. Seems like that's not really the case..??

[collapse]

Couldn't give this novel a 5* because although I liked the main lead's growth but something about the romance just doesn't attract me. Also, I found this novel a bit lengthy which made me skim through some parts.

Despite it is not being the best second chance novel I've read, it is still quite a nice read. I would recommend this to readers who enjoy this premise! <<less

This, for me, is a story about not judging a book by it's cover. Before Rebirth, the Anning thought that Wen Yu likes her because of her body. She's got a lot of prejudice against him and there are so many rumors about them that made her situation worst, and also made other guys thinks she's under Wen Yu's protection. The ML is arrogant and uses his money to woo her, which would have worked for other women except for our FL, which just makes her hate him more. Until... more>> she died and floated as a ghost, she saw how he avenged her life, took care of her senile grandma and was imprisoned and shot for mu*dering the guy who killed her. No spoiler tag because this is in the first chapter.

After Rebirth, she started to look at him in a different light and tried to become more open and honest with him, while trying to protect them both so that things that happened will not happen again. This story also shows how she was unfairly judged by people because of her looks and her hardworking attitude.
Spoiler

(Like working in the cafeteria is okay, but working in a maid cafe is sus but it pays a lot). But she changed all that after rebirth

Wow. I found a genuine gem. At first, I was reluctant on reading the novel in the first few chapters because of the scummy behavior the male lead was showing but nope. Man I was proven wrong. And I'm glad I did.

He had great character development. Actually, BOTH had character development. Main characters were both flawed, they were aware of it and they learned, changed, and gained more understanding. Felt genuine sympathy for the female lead to be honest. She had it rough and you would understand her behavior through... more>> her perspective. Same goes to the male lead too. Their personalities are different, causing the previous life to be a tragedy.

Honestly, I'm looking forward for future chapters to see what happens since it's not yet completely translated. And speaking of translations, Second Life Translations is really good. Thanks for your hard work! 🙌 <<less

Don't be fooled by the title, it's really a great story.. it delves into a number of societal delinquencies like bullying, rumour abuse, human beings deplorable nature caused by materialism, and human goodness succumbing to evil claws.

ML is a total scumbag at the beginning but fortunately he recovered his conscience. I especially like the FL she's strong, breaking but never bending, and also adaptive to the ML's influence..

The first part is really sad but heart-warming at the same time..

Second half, even after marriage, was not boring to read thanks to... more>> the amazing Dad.

Thanks to the Author and special thanks to the Translator..

Awaiting more...... <<less

A FL who has financial trauma and a ML who only knows the world of money and business... no wonder they had so many clashes and a tragic ending in their first lives. But as the translators (who are doing a fantastic job) note, the ML really gets some character growth as he learns to consider the life of a poor student like FL. And for her part, the FL is also reexamining herself and learning to see the bigger picture instead of holding onto her pride.

I think it's really... more>> interesting how the FL got her "future" knowledge. Only being summoned when her name is said has very meaningful implications, but also means she only knows things related to her (i.e. no lottery numbers or stock market cheats). Her inability to determine time between those summonings also means the FL knows there is danger but not exactly when it happens and how to prevent it. It's a great way for the FL to get a cheat without being overpowered.

Overall I think their relationship is really cute and quite unique. I really want to see how they continue to get closer to each other and how they change to meet the other where they are, before finally getting together. Must continue to read! <<less

This is my first time writing a review, but definitely not my first time reading Chinese novels. This novel captured my attention from reading the synopsis to the very first chapter and kept me engrossed until the end. The plot was captivating, which kept me eagerly turning the pages.

What I loved most about this novel were the special chapters about Shu Chen and Daddy Wen. These chapters were like hidden gems for me. I also admired the development of the male lead (ML) throughout the novel. Witnessing his growth and... more>> transformation alongside the MC was truly satisfying. I loved how they supported and complemented each other.

Overall, this novel is a must-read. It's a rollercoaster of emotions (for me, at least) that will keep you hooked from beginning to end. <<less

After finishing this novel I actually felt like writing a review just to defend the ML, as I actually found him endearing and an interesting boy right from the start. I feel like this novel explores two basic ideas, to never judge a book by its cover and exactly how naive young people can be. Keep in mind that all the main cast are young adults, between 18 and 20 years old and yes, you can expect them to at times act like children, but some of their reasonings, actions... more>> and expected life outcomes are truly terribly naive.

We are first introduced to our FL's horrible past life experience and how much she hated the ML meddling into her life with his attempt to smash her with his money. His attention only bought her a declining reputation, as people started stereotyping her as a gold digger only interested in excaping her poor environment by hooking up with a wealthy man. She feels wrongfully accused, the comments of her peers hurt her and she is ultimately driven into a corner when the antagonist thinks she's is just another easy girl that anyone with money can have. But she fails to realize that this is exactly what she's doing to the ML, stereotyping him from the beginning as just another playboy only interested in her body. Yes, he is a rich kid, yes he never hid the fact that he finds her sexually attractive and yes, he did try to woo her using his money but was her initial adversion to him truly necessary? She regards this 20 year old kid as the devil himself, she is constantly rude to him, she snaps at him without reason and avoids him like the plague when the only thing he did was expressing interest in a pretty girl. We are only getting her side of the story regarding the previous life and frankly, everything reads as just a big misunderstanding between two kids that never communicated with each other.

The FL herself admits that he was never violent with her, he never truly forced her and even that single kiss they shared when he was acting like an overbearing CEO, I only saw a frustrated young man who couldn't understand why his love interest didn't believe he liked her. It's sad that our poor FL had to die for her eyes to open. After her rebirth, both her and us readers start to realise that the ML is not as bad as she thought, and he's growing on everybody with each passing chapter. But the thing is, he wasn't changed by love, nor did she changed him, he was simply like that from the beginning, the only difference being that this time around, the FL allowed him to show himself. That's why I find the ML truly endearing, he's just a young boy smitten with a girl for the fist time, someone who's a very filial son to his father, a good student, popular and surrounded by supporting friends, a cheeky boy whose only flaw is being slightly driven by his junk, just like any other teenage boy on Earth. I can't find anything creepy, scummy or bad about him, is just that the FL never took the time to look at him during the previous lifetime. Don't get me wrong, the FL is amazing and both leads have splendid character development, but I didn't really like her befor her rebirth. I think she was someone burdened by her poverty and bad luck, someone who had to work hard to survive but lost herself in the process. She became this stubborn, unwilling to bend and headstrong woman, someone who didn't care for her own body and ultimately life. She never spoke up for herself but kept being bothered by what some cannon fodder classmates whispered behind her back, shut herself up like some ball of absolute resilience and misery and allowed herself to fall into the pit of low self esteem and self worth. Even after establishing an healthy relationship with the ML she still didn't really believe he loved her, her low self esteem prevented her for understanding the depth of his feelings and why he did what he did for her in their previous lifetime. Fortunately she comes around and grows into a truly strong woman, someone capable of protecting both herself and her loved ones, but I do understand the ML's frustration in dealing with her before.

The second theme of this novel that I want to talk about is the notion of youth naivety. Maybe it's because I'm old and I forgot how to be a teenager, but to think that there are people out there who live their lives without expecting retribution for their actions is quite funny to me. I really like the life lessons that this novel is teaching it's young readers using the experiences the cast goes through. In the end, the bad people get what they deserve, but I found reading about what lead them to their ends more entertaining. Things like being swayed by material gains and selling your life for a bag or the latest phone without realising how deep you're sinking. Trying to use your baby high school tactics on grown up adult men expecting them to marry you into fortune and prosperity without realising you're just a drinking table joke to them and that you'll never be able to escape this lifestyle. Acting like an overlord and disregarding other people's lives just because your family loves you and can buy your way out of prison, but finding that karma awaits you in front of a KFC restaurant. And this life lessons also apply to older characters in the novel, like ML's mother who is defeated by her menopause and the life trajectory of that "sperm donor" as the ML called him.

In the end, I really enjoyed this novel, I found it funny and with a satisfying end for all the characters. Even if I at times felt frustrated with the FL's stubbornness and her so called Stockholm syndrome with poverty, I still think this is an entertaining novel with a nice positive message and a strong FL that learns to unapologetically live for herself. It has everything that I like, a strong cast, funny moments, some dog blood drama and a fulfilling happy ending. Just the simple story of a lonely woman who finds the strength to live again and her adorably pe*verted spendthrift of a husband. <<less

This is such a good rebirth romance novel. The way the characters evolved throughout the story was top-notch. The characters felt so real as they handled all their emotions. The MC's approach throughout their romantic journey is believable and not shallow. The ML is a great character. I thought he's gonna be an annoying ML at first. I'm glad that he turned out great. At the climax of the story, I was disturbed by the plot twist but the high-rating reviews here convinced me to keep on reading and I'm... more>> glad I did. Kudos to the author for creating such relatable and well-rounded characters that made this love story feel genuine and touching. <<less

Damn the character arc of the ML is one of a kind. Like the description says the ML is your typical rich second generation you read in every novel. He's the type of character that grows on you, the FL is great to, sticks to her principles but knows how to be flexible, adjust, and learn from her past mistakes.

I like this dynamic, I've always been a sucker for opposite attract romances and this right here tickles my fancy 💖

If you're picturing that side character who is a rich second... more>> generation who usually harasses the protagonists only to get slapped in the face, yeah that's what the ML personality is. You stay for it to see how that would grow and develop into what the FL falls in love with. She didn't just fall in love with him right of the bat after he avenged her. True she was moved but the ML had to more emphatic and mature first before they finally got together which I love. <<less

Slowly becoming one of my favorite books. The female lead is sensible most times but does have a soft spot for the male lead (with good reason). The male lead is really rough around the edges but has a good heart for the female lead.

The pacing of the story as well as the translation are top notch so far, And the updates consistent. I will be coming back whenever there is a chapter update.

This ML really grows on you. And his character grows too, so rare to see. I loved them, the FL is strong and resilient, the playboy bad boy ML is willing to be reformed, at least when concerning her. Both are flawed and therefore so much more real and their chemistry is awesome. And the grandpa is awesome. Not to mention it touches on patriarchy too, and in a positive way of dealing with it. A novel for passing time that is not shallow, kudos. One of the best I've... more>> read in a while. <<less

Honestly when I read the description I thought it was gonna be filled with a dog blood plot, so I tried it out cause you know some of them are just nice to read once in a while and if didn’t like it no big deal, I could just drop it. Boy was I hooked. Binged the whole thing from night through to the early morning. I love the plot just because nothing ever happened that made me wanna cringe, get second hand embarrassment or just wanna punch the characters... more>> in the face. Sure I did get frustrated but there was always a reason or it would get resolved pretty quickly. The FL is just amazing and just so down to earth, the type of person you just cannot help but like cause their actions always have good judgment behind it, she is basically very level headed and knows her situation very well. The ML however, how do I say this at the beginning it was hard to get a good impression at first cause he was your typical rich second generation but he was raised right by his dad and wasn’t wanton, but because he grew up with a golden spoon he didn’t understand some of the decisions the FL had to make due to her circumstances. But honestly that was the only part, the kid had good intentions through the whole time and only wanted to help the FL and the FL knew this so she was always very frank about her situation so when the ML got confused she would always explain it to him and he would understand and take of her self esteem. The pair really just made me sigh at the end because the novel shows you just how much the two have grown and matured and able to handle things together. Anyway long review but very honest opinion. Definitely recommend to read. <<less
