This managed to get adapted into a manga? Wow.

It's basically a beginner writer's first novel. New characters basically get a one paragraph to one page summary of their backstory, no explanation is made for why the MC's power levels grow so quickly (unless you count a bland excuse for it 40 chapters later), there's no depth to interactions with enemies (they show up, MC subjugates them, no long term effects result from it), there's zero interactions with female leads (backstory, they fade into the background, surprise, marriage!). Oh, and there's... more>> zero tension because MC quickly becomes so OP nothing can threaten him.

Around chapter 20, a major event occurs that results in some consequences down the line, which... takes the form of getting antagonist-of-the-week to show up. The other major consequence? It gets introduced as a major problem and gets easily resolved a few chapters later.

The translation quality is good enough that idle curiosity and sunk cost fallacy keeps me reading to see what the author might do next, but I'm not seeing any real growth in the author's skill either.

None of the characters are great, MC is even blander than a self insert and the story itself feels like the author is just writing based on his real life emotions.
