She was lying on the hospital bed, holding an insurance report tightly in her hands. Her mother hasn’t come to see her in a long time, and they all said that her mother didn’t want her anymore, but she knew that the s*upid woman gave her own life to save her. After buying an accident insurance, her mother died, and all that was left was this piece of paper…

This was the 25th year since she was mistakenly taken by another family when she was born. In this year, she fell ill and her mother… died.

She opened her eyes suddenly, and what caught her eye was the all too familiar old stuff that only existed in her memory. When she looked at the calendar hanging on the wall it showed that the year was 1996, and she realized that she was reborn.

(“The Salted-Fish Heroine Quit her job” – in this, what the author meant by ‘quit her job’ is : The heroine worked for her previous family free of charge in her previous life. And in this life, she doesn’t do that. That’s what it means.)

Really hard one to review without completely spoiling. The best I can do is describe the overall form and genre. The novel is a second chance, switched at birth, sandwich reincarnation with an insane antagonist that has made it their mission to stomp on the protagonists head, but all done as a slice of life.

I was fine reading it in little bits and pieces like the episodes of a soap opera and for readability I'd give this a solid five. But the rest of it just brings it down to... more>> a three or worse. The plot is more insane than your typical CNovel by far. The characters insensate to the events happening around them and they just don't seem to react. The MC is a Mary Sue, but she is a Mary Sue that has apparently had enough tranks to stun an elephant. Nothing gets to her.

Ultimately I just got really bored of it and confused trying to follow the relationships. <<less

First of all, the more fitting genre for this novel is Slice of Life. If you want to read a long Slice of Life story, then go ahead and give this a try. If you're here for the romance, don't bother reading this.

The romance did not have a plot or even a subplot. They literally just became husband and wife in an instant and it was after several hundreds of chapters too. The description of their daily married life can be summed up by two actions "eating" and "sleeping" and... more>> it's the literal verbs, not euphemisms. Their interactions always go like this: MC will say she's hungry, ML will feed her something, MC will say she's sleepy, ML will coax her to sleep. That's it, this pattern is repeated for a loooooong time in the novel. It's good enough to entertain me, but not good enough for me to remember the good points of the novel. The author also should have done more research on how the hospital runs and how a medical career works. <<less

MTL up to chapter 616, readability 90%.

If you looking for romance, not in this novel. MC was not into it even until half of the novel. ML being there for her every time was what made her proposed to him. But even then it's not progressing into romance.

It's not a bad novel, but it could be better and at least have more detail background of what happened that made everything the way it is. However even until over 600 chapters, I didn't know why she got rebirth in different realm... more>> then reborn again in her realm.

I'll put it on the shelf for now. <<less
