A top hacker was chosen by the Lord God to be reborn into countless worlds, always as an expendable villain.

With no free will, every world became a dead end. Every one of his lives ended tragically.

Finally, after wrestling control of the Villain System, this ace hacker decided to enact revenge. Even if his very bones were rotten, he’d choose to occupy the very heights of morality, if only on the surface.

Thus, he would change his fate as an abused slag.

This is one of my all time favourite BL novels, and Chinese web novels in general. I love the episodic nature of the novel and the cynical MC. My only complaint would be that the last arc/epilogue felt rather rushed... But it's still an amazing story

Looking at all the five stars reviews, I was desperate to get some alone me-time so I'd be able to savor this gem.

So our MC, a top hacker was forced by God to play the part of a minor cannon fodder in several hundred worlds in several different settings. Slowly he begins to gain control of his mind and decides to play out the role of cannon fodder while simultaneously doing little things that will slowly change the course of the setting.

The first world we began in was very interesting.... more>> We got to see what motivated our MC, got to understand his hatred for "God", his desire to break free of the system and his loneliness.

We watch as our MC breaks free of his cannon fodder ending, gets together with a supporting male character (our ML) and derail the God's world.

Now my problem started with the second world.

In the first world, the MC says how he will stay away from the main protagonist as that was a quick way for the God to notice that he was a virus and get crushed like a bug. In the second world, not only does he single handedly change the protagonist's (the ML) story-line, he does it in a way that can be easily be traced by God. Oh and did I mention he gets together with the protag in happily married kinda way. How is that staying away from the original protagonist so that he won't get noticed by God!!!!

However I was still enjoying the novel so I decided not to sweat the facts.

In the third world it was a xianxia setting with reincarnation.

And in this world, the MC escapes being cannon fodder, ruins the original female protagonist and gets together with a male supporting character (the ML). So pretty much the first world in a different setting

And in the fourth world........ Yeah, I'm not doing this anymore.

I tried to like this novel, I really did. But when I got to the ninth arc, I realized I didn't care for any of the characters anymore, so I dropped it

My point is- pros to the author for managing to think of so many different settings, but I really wish s/he had played around with the story more. MC is always drop dead gorgeous, ML is always obsessed with MC. The world's original protagonists are always jerks. MC is always so cool and intelligent that it's boring. Nothing truly bad ever happens to him. You'd think after ruining so many of God's world, God would at least send a minion or a warning or something but no, nothing ever happens. Each of the worlds is a predictable reincarnation-type story. For people who like pure romance type stories, this is for you. For people who prefer decent plot to romance, look elsewhere <<less

Just finished reading the raw 😭, and I will say this is without a doubt the most well balanced, entertaining, funny, dramatic, bad-ass, incredible piece of fiction I have read.

The story is well paced, and the romance is beautiful, deep, sensual and fluffy (incredible variety here).

The MC, the beloved ZYS cannot be described as anything but epic✨. He is a rare character who does not loose his ruthless nature even as we reach the end of the novel.

The ML is incredible 😎 (nothing more to be said) .

The progression of their relationship transcending space, time and destiny without disturbing the pace and incredible idea behind the story is stunning.

The author is a genius.

Pick up a megaphone and shout it out. A moving read for all lovers of the written word.

So good, I really like the way that there are many different types/genre of story here. I also love the way the two main characters always manage to find each other and fall in love over and over, it's so cute >\\\<

For sure this review will drown in waves of positive ratings, but can't help sharing the experience.

This novel was recommended to me and since I was new to QT it felt like a new experience. At first I had a good start with it. But this novel didn't age well with me. SO giving it 2 out of 5 for being a pioneer and a few things that were pleasant.

Why it's meh:

  • The information about the world is dumped at you at the get-go. The script is always melodramatic to show how poor the host was supposed to be. But when you think about it, they actually made mistakes they should be held accountable for. So you get the script on the first chapter when you don't know the characters and don't give a damn;
  • The cheat setting of the MC (and ML) . Tbh the way he's all-powerful and knows everything is kind of... boring. There's no real thrill that should be present from a character, because you know for sure he will meet no challanges. Plus he always ends up as some huge celebrity or the king of universe, like a fairy tale. The story falls into his plan too conveniently and thus makes the story boring too;
  • Cheap romance. Like honestly it felt as if someone said - well, we traveled few worlds together and I don't feel bad about it, let's continue like that. The love part of this novel didn't feel like development of feelings. Because ML always forgot about MC and his feelings were awoken being near, it kind of gives you the notion of fated lovers indeed, but on the contrary MC did his own thing and ML was like a crutch;
  • Shallow worlds. Some worlds were pretty decent, although you kind of wanted to point at the lack of logic of it, but other worlds made you wonder - why am I wasting time on this again? Especially the modelling arc, it felt so long, it was the most boring of them all. Plus with the way how the top model program was used you kind of wondered - did the author take anything else?
The only positive stuff I remember is the change of small details that brought different results, but it pained me seeing like every other "villain" ended up bankrupt/in jail/addicted etc. Especially when some things were even fabricated. Like there's no other way... more>> at all.

Often times you hear FOD be recommended to new ppl, but honestly after reading it and its' lack of real substance I wouldn't be so eager to do that. Even if it is a pioneer in its' kind, but doesn't mean it's the best. It's definitely not. <<less

This novel is simply the best that this site can offer for a BL lover the translation although done by mtl it is great and simple and very easy to understand you can see the effort and hardwork.

The story itself is very enjoyble the humour never fall flat and every arch although a little bit repetitive you can still mange to be suprised every now and then in some storyline

The romance is the relatinship is very amazing as both the leads respect each other and The MC is not a... more>> damsel in distress he has the power and smart to support himself

I recommend this story to everyone, everyone should read I made an account specifically to say this <<less

Isn't it weird to see a book with overly good 4-5 stars rating?

At first, I thought so too. Then, I read the book (I didn't read the translation so I cannot comment on that).

The book is good. The Uke and Seme is good, the story overall is fast moving, there isn't much to complain :)

As explained by many people, the story goes by 16 settings. It really makes you feel like reading 15 (coz the last one is the one in reality and make the sense of the whole... more>> plot) different novels at the same time.

Definitely a gem, I just like the interaction between the uke and Seme all the time.... just too cute.

I wouldn't be giving spoiler... but give this book a chance, you wouldn't regret it :) <<less

Love this story to death! There're lots of world and any kind of profession. What's not to love? I can't even choose which world I like the most. I especially love the ger aa!

The protagonist is cool, cute with characteristics often times resembling a cat, cunning, smart, etc. He may seem to OP but gradually he'll find more hardship. And I really love that the ML always follows the MC around to every reincarnation. "Immortal lover" is really the best description!

Finally after chapter 12 I can't... more>> wait another month for the next chapter and just directly translate the raw in google translate. Even though a lot of bits were passing by (cause the translations were really headache-inducing) I got the gist of the story and that's what matters the most. Ok so moving on to the story

I so LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE 999x this story. The author will tie all loose ends at the ending and it's so worth it! I finally know how and why the ML keeps following the MC around. At the end, you'll feel that this story isn't about 15 separate worlds but because there's cause and effects that's why the story happens as it was. Really worth my time!

Definetely the best yaoi story ever! For you rotten guys out there, this story got every possible fantasies you have! Definetely won't regret it!! <<less

I didn't read it for the yaoi, read it for the wonderful plot.

  1. Each chapter is an arc with a typical plot (imperial power struggle in ancient China, zombie apocalyse, drama in the entertainment industry etc) and the MC randomly comes into the body of a side character trying to derail the main character. The arcs are consistent in quality in terms of setting/plot/characters, concise with no chapters of fillers.
  2. The different point of view bought to light how some generic MCs that we kind of accept as righteous also have plenty of personality flaws. Our MC reincarnates into people with personality flaws and never at beginning of the plotline, so it's interesting to see how he gets out of the cannon fodder situations and remedies past bad actions (if he reincarnated into a bad person) to live mostly righteously while stay in line with character.
  3. There is an overall plot so it's not just a series of disjointed short stories with no relation to each other. With every story arc, he discovers/gains something and gets closer to his goal.
And lastly the translation is good. There are minor typos but it's a smooth read and I appreciate the translator doing one arc at a time so no weeks of waiting for random cliffhangers. The yaoi element is strong, but if that's not your... more>> type of tea, just skip the 3-4 paragraph where they get deep into it every arc and you'd still get a good story out of it. <<less

This has to be one of the most amazing BL Novels ever written.

It actually competed with my personal favorite (True Star), they now share the 1st spot in my list of favorite BL novels.

From the beginning till the end, I was thoroughly hooked with this novel.

... more>> The MC was quite unique because he basically doesn't care about being good or playing nice. He's not the type of MC who's domineering and arrogant, he actually doesn't care about the other characters unless you're the one who personally provoked him.

He perfectly fits this description: 'Don't poke the sleeping dragon. You'll die immediately.'

The ML in this novel was very possessive, loving, devoted, and funny.

The ML literally chases after the MC throughout their Different Lifetimes. He had this crazy obsession with the MC. He's literally a Stalker, lmao!~

The Ending was actually kind of sweet because the ML was so devoted with the MC.

If you want spoilers, just PM me. I don't want to post anymore spoilers here. <<less

I've just started reading the novel but I liked what I read so much, so I am writing a review.

Many novels start promising but later due to many reasons my interest would die out. But... but I sincerely hope that this won't be one of those for me. The premise is fun and the protagonist is the kind of OP I really like - smart, a bit evil and loyal. I am looking foward to reading the rest of it.

I went to read this novel with high hopes because of so many good reviews. And I was let down.

This is the one of the most disappointing novels I have read and that's saying something, since lot of quick transmigration, "yandere ML" novels are just there for instant gratification.

But this one, doesn't even have a passable plot or world building. It's just, MC is powerful, super intelligent and really beautiful. Seriously, if I had a cent for everytime author uses the word "peach-blossom eyes", "supple waist" "jade skin" to describe... more>> MC, I would be a millionaire.

MC and ML are one dimensional and have no character development. The plot is just, MC enters the world, MC can somehow manipulate everything in the world because he is a "hacker", (that's not how hacking even works but okay, sure I have given up on logic by now), he defeats all the evil people because everyone except ML and MC is evil and just the absolute worst. In the end, ML goes yandere mode, falls in love with MC and they live happily ever after.

It's fine to make MC overpowered, lot of MC are overpowered and still have character development. This one is just Marty Sue.

Seriously, if you had read one arc, you have read the whole book, except for change in setting, everything remains the same. <<less

I didn't really want to read it at first because this sort story device of world jumping and systems isn't my thing unless it's reincarnations (with no system). Romance is presented as if it was a main part of the story, but of course falls behind due to the minimal development.

A lot of it felt lazy. They sort of just... got together and then that was it. In the first world, MC wanted to use ML for face-slapping and MC is hot and cute and ruthless and that's it so... more>> ML likes him (which is honestly fine but I guess since his data is the same in all worlds after the first that means he falls deeply in love at first sight despite many worlds where MC is noticeably different in personality but it's the SOUL now I guess).

A rare thing I do like about this novel is that MC is gay already and makes the moves on ML himself. Which is difficult to find, so props to that.

When I say love at first sight I mean that literally. Like. No. MCs character is simply automatically more attractive. I guess it makes sense that they've already fallen in love, there's no need to start anew, but since we barely got any development in the first world it's just same old. And in many worlds it's just lust and that's it. ML's entire concrete personality was just a usually-rich-and-powerful person who is completely and utterly obsessed with MC and is also horny as all heck but at least the story is self-aware amirite.

Sometimes r*pe and also underage (but oh-hoh actually consensual but still mcfracking r*pe in ML's mind, like he hid his identity purposefully). Also creepy stalker behavior that usually is way more creepy than sweet.

But since the romance is... honestly terrible in many technical parts of his novel, how is (are) the rest of the story (ies) ? Inconsistently good versus bad, mostly just weird. Due to the world jumping, it's possible to like some worlds and hate others. MC is OP, I guess reasonably because he's already a seasoned world jumper.

Also a god-level hacker, meaning after gaining control of the system, he is LITERALLY A GOD and can change a crap ton of stuff, including his physical looks, his aura, downloading and plagiarizing songs from other worlds, creating flawless audio files, and basically anything else learned through the countless worlds he already experienced like, cooking, acting, singing (with tweaks to his data for superhuman range), business, etc.

So uhm, he had no real flaws before nor after his experiences other than "normal talent" to "overpowered talent" and being a bit of a bastard (but he's still ALWAYS right).

So, the point is not character nor relationship growth (because that happens literally never for literally ANYONE) but face-slapping and revenge schemes. The only one I really actually liked was the last historical one, where MC was an emperor, and that was only counting the world and one side character, not the romance.

Since that's also the one ML repeatedly drugged then raped him while hiding his identity because "he loves him and dat's all there is to it :D"

"oh he kissed me while drugged (ignoring MC's awareness) ? ok better drug him constantly and r*pe him now and THEN try to ACTUALLY kidnap him"

Since the only people that actually matter are the side characters because usually they're the ones who go through anything note-worthy they were all one-demensional except for maybe two. And of course almost all entirely UNFORGIVEABLY EVIL.

Main villainess in the supermodel world was such a weird one. Like, she was abused during childhood and raped when she was a young adult by her stepdad with the approval of her mom to sustain a financial marriage, but she's villified for almost all of the story 20% for her scheming ways (as if she doesn't have good reason to want to escape, even if she was a terrible person) and then 80% for her CURVY BODY which is glaringly body-shaming in the name of Chinese beauty standards of human-noodle proportions, especially for females. The standard of "youthful child" silhouette with a either a great metabolism or eating one meal of a fruit a day. Then she becomes a porn star as punishment. This story portrays an abused rape-victim (btw with non-con already being a huge problem in cnovels already) as someone who will inevitably be objectified as a CURVY female. What the fudge nuggets.

This isn't even mainly about her as a character (yes she's a terrible person and irl r*pe doesnt justify... cheating I guess) and more what her character stands for. These people are already represented extremely poorly especially in c-novels, so it's just annoying as all hell.

Also MC in the autistic artist story just pretending to be autistic because okay fine. Original character died, and MC needs to be not OOC.

And possibly autistic and definitely 0-degrees-empathy brother character in the twins world being more sympathetic is the best example where a marginalized group is more positively portrayed, except maybe gays??

2.0/5.0 might be lower. Not utterly painful to read but boring and weird and uh. yeah.

To me it's highly, highly overrated, but I guess I like things developing and interesting and meaningful characters, and don't like yandere/self-aware rapist MLs.

The point of the whole story was to face-slap and vengeance so whatever, I'll give a pass on the OP MC since to me that's not one of the major problems that tiggered me. I already knew that when I was getting into it that the MC simply isn't going to be anything more than a wish-fulfillment mechanical hand. His character development is done mainly before the story actually begins, which is suffering suffering suffering, and after meeting ML it's "and so now I love and can feel SO MUCH emotion". Aight. It's... shallow but there.

Also I skipped the very last irl arc cause I just didn't give enough of of a shyte about any of the characters to continue to irl. Sorry. <<less

I don’t know how many times I got in trouble for constantly being on my phone and reading this novel, but it was worth it! I feel like it was one of the novels, that made novels with ‘Transmigration’, and ‘System Administrator’ tags more popular. Unfortunately, this novel also made my standards and expectations towards other novels very high. I really want to erase my memories, and reread it! The relationship between MC and ML is really sweet, and often caused me to scream and squeal out loud.

Conclusion: I Really... more>> Love This Novel!

I FELL IN LOVE! This book was totally fantastic, breaking the normal yaoi stereotypes of the uke being just a powerless, Gary Stu, doll like a creature who is saved by the seme at every situation.

That's why I stopped reading yaoi. But this, this was something. It left me mesmerized at every point, making me wait eagerly for the updates.

And the translator, I LOVE HIM/HER! The amount of reasearch he/she did with a perfect editing, it makes me want to bow down to his/her feet. I very much enjoy this story.

The plot varies from simple and fun to absolutely heartbreaking. The main character is interesting and entertaining, and manages not to lose himself even while submerging himself in so many other characters.

I am very interested to see where this all leads and can't wait for the next installment.
