Currently I'm very much into cute buns stories and most of the novels I've read or reading so far are very lighthearted and cute. Though this novel is about children and potential romance (yet to be explored), it's so much more than that. It's got grit, depth and true heart about a woman trying to find her place of happiness after a traumatic experience as a child.
The novel touches upon the preciousness of children, that children deserves happiness and a safe upbringing with love and the MC is a (reluctant) heroine fighting the good cause. Though it's in a futuristic setting, it could might as well have been in the 21st Century or before that. It's a universal heartfelt story.
due to her psychological health following severe trauma gets a chance to fall in love with the child born from an egg shed donated and the father of that child.
The world building isnt as strong as it should be for such a complex set up. The characterizations can be shallow. FL and the ML are a little too mary sue/OP and self righteous. The villains could be realistic but their delivery is too melodramatic and absurd. None of that detracts from how thoughtful and thought provoking this story is.
The caring sensitivity displayed by out FL and ML really hits you in the gut. Because we live primarily inside the head of the FL (who is convinced by society and her own life experiences she will be a nightmare of a parent) it feels almost like you are reading the thoughts of a self perceived villain who is struggling not to hurt anyone. Its compelling and the ending is satisfying.
