I think the author handled showing the story of someone being in a relationship while dealing with serious mental health issues really well. There were a lot of things in the beginning that made me go *fear* bc I thought it could be foreshadowing, but the author used them to show/imply how mc's actions (that stem from his inner struggles) could be misinterpreted by the larger society. MC can be an unreliable narrator at times bc of his struggles and low self-esteem, and this is reinforced by the ppl around... more>> him (not ml), which blurred the line btwn his imagination and reality which really could have set things up for huge angst. Author did not go down this route, but you can practically imagine what would have gone down if it happened (with what happened with MC before).

at first I felt a bit iffy about ML bc he is your arrogant and domineering ceo, but when MC starts seeing proof that he did not make his relationship with ML up, you start seeing from ml's pov and understand where he is coming from. It is very sweet how he can understand mc's drawings (and twist their meanings to mean something more positive + he edits them!! Get you a ceo who can draw well). MC wants to heal for ml's sake and puts in the effort to do so, but ML wants MC to heal for himself and gain more self-confidence (and puts in equal effort to help him do so).

okay so tldr: not really angst, more of a healing novel that highlights your greatest fears but they do not come true. Like I said, fluff with an underlying sadness. Absolutely recommend this on a rainy day with a warm drink. <<less

this is such a heartwarming story (〒﹏〒) I really love the process of ranran breaking out of his shell and shanghao patiently waiting and guiding him all the way. This is a very calming read and it's just right for a slice of life lover like me (♡ω♡) ~♪

Very heartwarming. I took many screenshots cause there are a lot of cute and sweet moments. I really really love this. I binged all chapters and I haven't slept yet.

I too was skeptical at first and wondered is the ML is really just Ranran's imagination. If I could rate MLs, I give this one a thousand stars. The MC is very pure and cute, even the words pure mad cute would be ashamed if they met him in person.

Beautiful! A story about healing and acceptance.

The ML loves and was very patient with the MC. He was very doting and stayed with the MC during his healing process although it's not an easy journey.

There's a lot of funny moments too, I like the "one piece pajama" moments a lot!😅 I think it's really cute and hilarious at the same time. The ending was satisfying but I was still hoping for an extra chapters. Lol

This was so good! The writing, the characters, and the plot development, even how they tackled the illness of our MC was well done.

All I can say is they are one of the purest, most wholesome, cutest and lovable CP I have ever shipped. They must be protected!

The first few chapters really made me wonder if the ML was actually fake or not because of how ambiguously he was written. But it was all good when facts proved that he was real indeed.

Their past together was unexpected and even the fact that the ML had been chasing after him for almost ten years since they first met and then finally found each other again was sweet.

The MC's progression and little changes as he slowly got more confidence and braver was wonderful to read about because the ML never pushed him beyond his limits and would always take a step back when he knew something was too much.

He even considered the MC so much and wanted him to learn to view himself better because he wanted them to have an EQUAL RELATIONSHIP and that was wonderful. He even taught MC to learn to have a temper and say no, to get angry and to not apologize for it when he was in the right, because he wanted our MC to grow more.

And I love how he never even tried to hide their relationship for any other reason aside from MC not being comfortable with having his identity revealed in public. He was pretty much open about it that if he deemed it not detrimental to MC's privacy, he might have just exposed it to the whole world.

Plus, I love how supportive his parents were. They never even tried to dissuade the ML or the MC. The father was so cute, acting discreetly to converse with the MC and even requesting for a painting.

The MC's aunt too! She's so supportive of MC and even though she didn't believe him the first time, when she finally saw it was real, she didn't dissuade the MC from falling in love and only told him to guard his heart first in case he was being deceived. But she also accepted the ML and told him about his childhood and his past.

Ughh, I love how both of them try to spoil and dote on each other. And even if the ML has an upperhand, being the rich businessman he is, he never feels that MC's way of doting is inferior or made it seem that way. Plus, I love these two people's misunderstanding about the other's preferences hahahaha.

And waaaaah, the little dummy Ranran and the businessman Haohao that the MC keeps drawing is so cute and wonderful because it shows the readers how MC views their current relationship.

This is a feel-good and fluffy story that is also translated well. Must read! <<less

Very cute. Not gonna lie I teared up near the beginning, poor Lin Anran :' (. But as Anran begins to open up, the romance becomes so sweet and fluffy.

This is so adorable and a bit painful to read, honestly. You'll just find yourself cheering RanRan on to get out of his shell, or like, to get through his insecurities with the help of his boyfriend—that even he himself believed to be just a figment of his imagination. They got together quickly and that explained the actual development of their relationship, MC just wasn't ready to take initiative 'cause his sense of reality was crap.

I liked everything about this; their genuine feelings for each other and the absolutely adorable... more>> interactions; from how ML actually assured him that he was indeed real or how MC finally opened up to him; the supportive people around them. It just made me tear up.

This is definitely a 5. I think that it accurately portrays the struggles a real relationship of this sort would go through. But for those of you who aren't very patient people when it comes to misunderstandings, this is not the book for you. MC feels very insecure about himself and keeps his feelings bottled up.

Loved it!! Shooo sweet!! The MC is sooo precious!! And the ML is also soooo amazing!!! Not useless dogblood at all ! Loved to see MC take initiative to come out of his shell and be more active in their relation. And the ML is sooo patient, kind, caring yet also sometimes scheming (in a good way) 😆😆! Love thee way he supports MC ! And he actually knows about mC's condition more than it looks.

I know that the MC has a mental illness but the way how the author writes him isn't just for me. I can't sympathise with him but instead feel dumber as I continue to read. Don't get me wrong, I'm not heartless or anything because I already had fair shares of MC with mental or emotional entanglements. Thus, I just like to think that the author did not have a writing of MCs like this that suits my taste.

A sweet little story of two people trying to meet each other in the middle to balance each other out. I wasn't obsessed with this, but I did think it was very cute. Light-hearted option if you need it, I think.

MC is adorable and ML is top tier. Love how ML is protective of MC and unwilling to allow anyone to bully MC. He even wants to safeguard MC against his future self from bullying MC. So ML works to build MC's self confidence and recognize his value. Ahhh the love is super sweet.

First of all, I started reading this novel months ago (February, I guess) and from the very first chapter, I am hundred percent sure that I'll love it! So yeah, I really did so, but halfway through reading Love Delusion, I feel like stopping for a while and this while took MONTHS lol for unknown reasons definitely because I felt bored for a while and looked for a new novel to read and I unintentionally buried Love Delusion in the corner of my mind but hey, don't me... more>> wrong, Love Delusion is a great novel, it's a masterpiece.

Yesterday, I feel like continuing it, and now, I finally finished it! Everything felt so abrupt to me. I mean, I was SO SHOCKED to see that I only have one chapter left to read and I'll finish Love Delusion. I was like, "WTF???" The novel was soooo goooood seriously.

This novel is light-hearted but somehow pretty deep because of what the MC, Lin Anran, was experiencing. The story is VERY CUTE and HUMOROUS. LIN ANRAN AND JI XIAOBEI (from the novel Find My Bearings) ARE TWO OF THE CUTEST CHARACTERS I'VE EVER ENCOUNTERED. My soul was cleansed and all of the impurities in it flew away thanks to the huge amount of fluff from Lin Anran and his lover (now, husband) Shang Hao. As for the ML, Shang Hao, I love his patience so much!! He respects Ranran and he knows that Ranran's condition is not something that will only take weeks to heal or improve (I don't know if heal or improve are terms that are appropriate for Anran's psychological issues, please excuse that if I'm wrong). Shang Hao is also very sticky, so so sticky and clingy and h**ny. The plot revolves around the interaction of the two and how both of them thrive considering Lin Anran's condition. You can see that through reading, Ranran's condition is slowly improving with the help of Shang Hao and I'm crying! I also want to experience such love!

All in all, I highly recommend Love Delusion (and Find My Bearings) if you want a cute and fluffy read! <<less

I love this novel so much. Maybe because I am a person with low self esteem too, but I could really empathise with MC who was consistently wondering why would someone as rich, good looking and a 'winner in life' would want to be with a hikikomori like himself.

ML could have been one of those forceful leads who simply bulldoze through the r/s. But I'm glad that the author didn't write that setting for him.

ML really treasured MC a lot. He was very caring and patient with MC. He always encouraged MC and was very gentle and patient in his love. He did a lot to get the introverted and socially anxious MC to feel like he was an equal in the r/s. In turn, MC made a lot of effort to be able to open up and be more confident and outspoken about his needs and emotions, with ML & the people in his life. MC was brave in his own way and he blossomed a lot under ML's encouragements. It was very sweet to see them mutually supporting one another.

Very, very fluffy. Consensual and sweet r/s. I love this couple so much, I just wished the author had more chapters or extras as the ending felt a little abrupt. Character development is great here too.

I need to give Ranran a big hug and a big slap to his mom! I'm so glad that the ML came into Ranran's life and slowly brought him out of his shell. Super sweet

The pairing of a celebrity OP businessman with an otaku suffering from mental illness is very interesting. The first 20 chapters were quite sad with MC's mental illness portrayed very well, so well that I also started to doubt ML's existence. I even became frustrated at some point with MC's inability to communicate and his extreme shyness, despite knowing and understanding his trauma. But once MC realised and was assured of his lover's existence, then it was all sweet romance after <3.

i love it, its so cute. I gave it four stars only because I think slice of life isn't for me but that doesn't mean it isn't for everyone so if I liked slice of like it would definitely be 5/5 stars.

Ranran (MC) even went to Shang Hao's company and sent a letter to see if he can get a response the "Stinky pe*vert" wrote back and put it in the mailbox on his own signing it literally "stinky pe*vert" and Ranran was flustered but still didn't fully believe because what if even this is his imagination?
