MC is selfish, ambitious, and evil - basically no bottom line, so he can lick boots as well as go to any level of brutality, to achieve his goal.
His power itself make sure that He can not stand on the good side. As people need to die, still people who approve of him, so he can grow.
No heroine or romance of any sort, hell MC didn't even do se* or even felt lust or anything.
So no heroine, no family, no sister, or any sort of fetter.
He himself lead to the death of his parents in the very first chp- well they died after some time.
But still, you can see the outline of the story just from that chp itself.
It's consistent with that.
So don't worry there is no poison in this. I won't compare it with Reverend Insanity or any great book, as the world-building or plot is obviously of not that level. It's much more simple and more straightforward, without all those things.
But still, For an evil reader [ like me ], It's a really good read. Especially since it's ongoing.

It started good but it keeps getting worse and worse each chapter.

Inconsistencies are everywhere and logic keeps getting lower and lower.

-Mc's mother and father were very talented ninjas, then they became mediocre ninjas, then they became chunin's, then they became special jonin's, then they became genins! The author can't make up his mind about it, most likely due to poor planing.

-Hiruzen (who is portrayed as a paranoid control freak in this novel) keeps watch of geniuses, even sends Anbu personel to break into their rooms and steal their information to... more>> manipulate them better, but then, this guy somehow doesn't know about a very important development on an Aburame genius? (People from the Aburame clan use insects, mostly poison and stuff, this guy apparently hatched an insect that can not only heal a ninja, but also save a life. This Hiruzen doesn't know this and when he learns about it, he is like ''Oh, okay.''... Where is the paranoid old man that was portrayed until now?)

- MC thinks Kakashi is worthless in terms of power and talent... I mean, do I really need to explain this? Kakashi was portrayed as one of the greatest geniuses in the ninja history in canon...

The fact that Anbu can casually stroll into the Uchiha territory and break into an Uchiha child's home is kind of ridiculous when you consider that this child is considered as an incredible genius that the great elder of the clan values A LOT. Are you telling me that this incredible genius child (who awakened 3 tomoe Sharingan at age 6 and was praised and valued a lot by the clan's great elder) has absolutely no protection at all? Let me tell you, this kid got an assassination attempt by the way. Uchiha clan still didn't send somebody to secret protect the kid even after that. That just makes no sense.

This was kinda messy because I wrote on the phone, sorry about that, but yeah. That's about it.

It has the usual Chinese fanfiction vibe. Everybody is an a**hole, MC is an incredible genius, logic is knowhere to be found, etc. <<less

The novel has such a good content, and its not the generic ones. You will see a Main Character that manipulates everyone and uses them for his benefits, as he knows he is in the Ninja World, where danger is everywhere. The translation is super good too. I've read the MTL till now, super excited to see finally someone getting it to translate, specially a Human Translator. Recommend it 100%. Give a shot and you will be immediately fascinated by the content the novel shows.

So, I have read the mtl of this masterpiece, and I’ve got to say that it is the best Naruto ff I’ve ever read.

The scheming and deceptiveness of Tunan really stands out in this fic from the rest.

Even the development and relationship with each of the characters are fully fleshed out.

The story follows Uchiha Tunan, a member of the Uchiha clan from the Naruto world. His golden finger is that he inherits the skills of any person who dies as long as he gains their recognition/approval.

His inner character is neutral evil and indifferent to everything. He has no true friends and considers himself the only one that matters. He doesn’t care about who he needs to kill, everyone is the same in his eyes whether they are an evil mu*derer or an innocent little girl. He doesn’t care about any... more>> human values such as family, reputation, justice, morality, romance, revenge, lust, pleasure, etc. He just uses these values as tools to progress himself, only looking to make the optimal decision. During many parts of the story it may seem like he is helping someone for the sake of good, but it is all calculated within his schemes.

As for the side characters, plot, and writing quality, they are all written very well. There are no two dimensional characters or annoying clichés. Every character feels fully fleshed out, the author does a great job with the way the MC manipulates everyone, and each scene is described very well.

At first I was hesitant on reading this novel because it is a Naruto fanfiction, but after reading it became one of my personal favorites. I never had any knowledge of the Naruto universe, but it was still easy to understand. If you like neutral evil and indifferent MCs, I highly recommend reading this as it is one of the very few that can be compared with Reverend Insanity. <<less

A rare good book within the dark novel niche. Protagonist is cruel to the bones, not some half hearted villain MC. I recommend, this book. The reviews are split between 5s and 1s, it's not that the book as bad but that what happens in the book can make some people uncomfortable causing poor reviews. Give it a shot if you like dark novels.

Just like the Summary, this novel's quality is above average. You can expect a heart rending betrayal and emotional rollercoaster as soon as you start reading.

If you haven't read novel where you wish for the MC death, then congratulation. You might be looking at one. Try it, and scream your rage at the MC.

This is by far very good. The story is quite logical and makes sense for the most part. And it’s dark with a scheming MC. Very similar to Reverend Insanity in terms of plotting. And who doesn’t like naruto setting with a more darker tone to it.

Translation of the novel is superb. The story is great for evil/rational MC lovers, he does everything logically and gets fairly psychological with his schemes. His goldfinger is also unique and makes the story much more interesting to read. Everytime I finish a chapter I want to know what happens next.

You will either love or hate this novel.

Starting with the MC, he is a psychopath in the truest sense of the word. He is self-centered and feels zero empathy towards anyone or anything. His own health is merely another chip on the gambling table, and he only ever takes safe bets. While he doesn't personally partake in some of the most cruel of actions, he doesn't mind inciting others into doing it. Because killing people who trust him allows him to grow, he just looks to maximize his profits at... more>> all times.

at one point, he orchestrates to make a young man from the countryside to r*pe his childhood friend and crush, and creates a scenario that led her to commit su*cide. Later, that event also caused the girl's grandmother to die. While the scene itself was only hinted at, you can guess how ruthless and indifferent MC is.

Next up is the portrayal of Naruto's world. It plays on the theories that lean towards a darker ninja world, because there are plot holes and things left unexplained in the original. The world is opportunistic and cynical, dog eat dog and no one is spared from what is "human nature", leaning towards evil, self-righteousness and hypocrisy. This plays out more on Hiruzen and Konoha council.

Another thing that I liked about this fic, is that there's a plausible reason not to change the plot direction. For instance, MC will not bother with Danzo for the most part, since Danzo's plans are to his benefit, and he will refrain from being too extreme and killing people too early, since he needs Sasuke and Naruto to be born in order to farm them. He can't be reckless. In many fics, there comes the problem where MC knows what will happen (like the Uchiha clan massacre or Obito's fall into darkness) and will try to stop it, but ultimately being unable to due to a dumb reason. Sometimes small victories will appear, not changing the end result. Fortunately, this doesn't occur here. Everything seems to fall into place naturally. <<less

Oh man what a ride almost cry to some of the lies MC told. Talk about ruthless this guy is couples steps behind Fang Yuan like for real. MC don't really fight so keep that in mind.

I see people calling the MC 'evil' - but what I see is different. I see a man who is out to gain power for himself and the system he has forces him to do that by first making people respect him before he kills them to gain their abilities and knowledge.

I would say the MC is neutral at most. Evil would be if he were to go around killing people for no discernible reason at all like a psychopath.

Is this novel on hiatus? I checked the chinese official qidian publisher and saw the last update in september.

I'm really loving this novel and even went ahead and read the MTL up until chapter ~430 (where it seems to be on hiatus). Any updates from the author? Can't seem to find anything.

These are just my thoughts as I am reading, but I feel like the jaded perspective the author has towards authority is seeping directly into the Naruto characters' personalities.

It was fortunate such an excellent and faithful tool was unharmed. It would have been a big loss otherwise.

I understand the parallels between a military dictatorship like Konoha and the CCP, but even if Konoha is still at war, the author is really piling it on thick by projecting that self-serving attitude onto Sarutobi. The way main character "studies" the Will of Fire is the exact same way sycophants "studied" the Cadre bosses' doctrines to kiss ass and get promoted in "Power & Wealth." However, in "Naruto" Sarutobi actually believes in the value of "love" and treating individuals as family. It's not lip service to brainwash the villagers like the way the author is portraying.
