Sun Hao traveled to a world of cultivating immortals. Unable to cultivate, he practices the guqin, chess, calligraphy, poetry, wine, and flower tea are all in the supreme realm. He didn’t know: The pet on his farm was the Nine Heavens God Luan. The lotus in the pond is a peerless demon. The guard outside the door is the ruler of Thunder Tribulation. Later, he discovered: The swordsman who picked up his broken hatchet became the peerless generation of swordsman; the scholar who often listened to him to chant became the ancestor of Buddhism; the girl who came to learn to play the guqin with him became the supreme demon clan. … Sun Hao sat on the throne of Heavenly Emperor, with a shocked expression on his face: Am I a Dao Ancestor? I take the heaven and the earth as the disc and all beings as my sons, and create a shocking situation? I do not know how?

The story is good, hilarious in fact but the translation is complete bullshit. The website that's translating the novel is just a machine translation which goes to show that they are either a novice at English or they are just too lazy to bother.

The story is okay, not great but also not bad. A nice idea with a slightly disappointing execution. Even though the MC does not have to behave like a mass mu*dering maniac because of the many idiot dumb young masters that are prepared to use the full strength of their backing to avenge the slightest provocation, the world created by the author is still full of characters that act like these idiotic dumb young masters just not towards the MC. The comedy is okay but because the majority of characters... more>> are treated as disposable characters there is never going to be a storyline with a bit of depth and that limits the possible jokes that can be used.

But the thing that really annoys me is the greed of the translator. The website works but the design of the website shows that an amateur created the website. The same with the translation quality, it's clear that it is machine translated and than heavily edited. The occasional error in using the right gender when referring to people and the sentences where you know that a word is missing are still there. The only thing that looks professional is the ways in which you can pay/donate money. I mean I have no problem donating money (or advert clicks) just to support running the website to an amateur translator who is doing this to learn a language but once you start to ask for professional level of money than you better be a professional or in this case act like a real publisher. And that means that you also make clear that part of the money received goes to the original author. This website feels too much like someone wanted to earn some money and decided to use a machine translator to translate novels and use that to earn some extra pocket money. <<less

These novels where the MC is OP but thinks he's mortal simply don't work unless they're comedy, but calling this 'comedy' is a stretch. There's no humor here. Do authors really believe 'wow he's so amazing look at all this cool stuff he has' on repeat is funny? Who the hell wants to read chapter after chapter of the exact same crap? At least make it funny so the reader has a reason to continue. Dumb af.

The translation is also really bad.

it's really funny and the misunderstandings aren't just there to exist. Everything actually makes sense and somehow relevant to the plot in some way

MC is really funny! He's the guy who plays checkers in the "A was playing checkers while B was playing 4d chess all along" meme except he's the one that wins lmao

idk this may just be a personal preference but seeing a bunch of OP cultivators frantically trying to decipher the "hidden meaning" behind his words like Game Theory pulling out 8 pages of lore from 1... more>> line of text is really f*cking funny to me

only 4 stars because the translation is a bit wack <<less

I do not know which came first between Cultivation Bigshot and this, or neither, but they are very very similar...

MC transmigrated into a cultivation world, lived alone, self-sufficiently as a mortal (supposed mortal) and had a system that trained him in all kinds of things that are important for self-sufficiency and art, then left after a couple decades telling the MC that there was nothing left to teach him.

From then on it is interactions with cultivators that come across him or he comes across them, where they are shocked by... more>> the OP-ness he has, be it his things, or what he makes.

Can be rather entertaining as an undemanding read. On the novel-food-scale I would rate this a fry :) <<less

Overall, for the start of this novel its pretty enjoyable. However this gets a little repetitive. The biggest problem is when around 350 when he learns how overpowered he is, because at that point he becomes stereotypical face-slapping BSing MC with no real fun. So overall, decent but read "I really am a cultivation Bigshot" if you want a better version of this story.

It start off good but the plot started to get repetitive later down the line. There are some scenes where the MC IQ is very questionable, either smart or outright ret*rded.

Even though there are some 3-star reviews and lower. I do think this novel is a 5 star review in my opinion.

The MC may be a bit naive or dumb, but you have to think. This is the plot of the story you are reading and how the author wants for the MC. There are so many misunderstanding against the MC, but it is really funny and makes me want to read more about it.

The story is refreshing, there are even subtle interpretation of other typical MC plots being talk,... more>> like taking spirituals root from the MC, the poor MC has got the plot-armor luck and the likes. It really is interesting how they are all connected to the MC.

And I saw that they say that the Group does MTL, but I didn't even notice it. They edited so well that you won't even recognize it. The group even researched about the Culture to even make it more readable.

So, my final say is, if you want a relaxing and fun story to read, with MC sometimes being misunderstood, but in a way that the author want's it to be in the whole story. The world building and character development is really good in my opinion. So, give it a try, atleast a few chapters. They are edited so well and props to the Team! <<less

I find this type of story interesting, extremely similar to Cultivation Bigshot in every way, but Cultivation Bigshot I couldn't read to the end because it was sometimes tedious, in this story I managed to read the whole thing in less than a week (or a little more, I don't remember) despite the breaks I took

I can't really demand moments of understanding some laws if the protagonist actually has them all, so those who like and still dreamily look for stories about the protagonist trying to understand something by experiencing... more>> it as a mortal and things like that, this story doesn't have it, despite having the exaltation of power and many people kneeling emotionally, this made up for me as I love reading benevolent and exalted situations like deciding to work on something or go to a bar, talk and with some sudden understanding rise to the heavens, moving everyone around making them kneel for the divine presence like it had in Library of Heaven's Path, anyone who knows stories that have moments like this, please tell me

This story is honestly more fun in the beginning as it has the misunderstandings, but it is satisfying for him to learn that he is not just a mortal in power despite being one in mind, it doesn't hurt to read this story

Translation is really disappointing, 'this seat will spare you', I don't know in other countries but in mine it means chair, it's kind of strange to read a lot of "this chair will not report anything about you to XXXXX if you spare me"Anyway, enjoy, after a long time reading stories in this style and others that have an understanding and philosophical touch, I'm going to look for some classic Wuxia with the protagonist being betrayed, tournaments and things like that, I haven't read most of the famous stories of this type

I gave it top marks because I thought it was cool, if something amuses me there's no reason for me to want to analyze it in a technical way, my analyzes will never be prejudiced, it will be about what I felt and not if the translation is bad or if there is some nationalism that affects some people the same way it does. In one of my favorite stories (I'm Really a Superstar)

READ, if you are interested in any story, read it, ignore the comments and things like that, I have read stories that most people had given negative ratings, I am someone who intends to write my own one day and I can make the best of the best from each story, there was never a story that I didn't take anything away from, so I think I have between 300 and 800kb full of notes on scenes that I found interesting in several novels that I read, filtration of filtration, just the pure wonder written down and to get to almost 1MB with text only, try putting several words in a notepad until you reach 800kb

Also know that everything you read is capable of influencing you, let the good things influence you, nothing is invalid in this world even if for many it is something futile, always read with the mind of learning something by reading that will become something beyond fun, goodbye <<less

At first I thought it was second-rate; Turns out it was another third-rate cultivation story.

In short, it is a normal xianxia story (male MC, single FMC, strong to stronger), with a "misunderstanding" twist.

Romance is pretty forced from the MC's side. Forget "romance subplot", that is no Romance, but that also is the norm with such tags.

The misunderstanding element is the main appeal, which, is pretty okay at the start, then it keeps getting dumber and dumber (which still could be explained by dumb or "silly" "thinking everything was planned from... more>> minor/careless actions of the MC" type characters), but then even the MC is forced dumb of his own powers, at which point I kinda dropped and made this review.

Compared to other misunderstanding stories, this is the worst I've read. But maybe that is inevitable as it tries too much to that effect. One old JP LN whose name I can't remember; Overlord; I'm Really Not The Demon God's Lackey; Lord of the Mysteries; and even Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken to an extent; in this order, all command the "misunderstanding" element to a greater skilled degree, albeit only the first 3 has a true focus on this element.

A waste of time as it degenerates to a 3rd rate xianxia. Maybe a manhua adaptation could save it in focus of the "comedy" element and shut down your brain more.

Do not expect a well-written, well-thought story. Compared to, for example, I'm Really Not The Demon God's Lackey, (to the extent that I've read that story) the machinations and plotting isn't that great, not to mention compared to better stories like LoTM or ones focused mainly on such plotting like Gu Zhenren (Reverend Insanity).

Translation isn't that bad as some other reviewers wrote, but it isn't great either. <<less

the translation quality is pretty low but I more or less understood what the author is trying to say, really funny and easy to read, very similar to "I'm actually A Cultivation Bigshot" but it has some differences and in this one they hint that the MC will be able to cultivate eventually unlike Cultivation Bigshot mc

A one star because of the bad translation? Yeah it's bad but rating the book alone, it's pretty neat and I'm entertained by it all, 10/10. The translation needs a good editor and proofreader very badly but it's readable most of the time. If mtl is 1/10, the translation started at 4/10 and recently probably at 6/10 to 7/10 so that's progress.

The translator has not yet finished translating at this time but ... more>>
Spoiler

I have a feeling the "misunderstandings" will come to a full circle. It'll turn out to not be a misunderstanding all along and the MC is an unreliable narrator or something.

[collapse]
Anyways I'm excited to find out what happens next.

There are a lot of repetitive events and inconsistencies. But sometimes when you think that it's about to happen again, something completely different happens instead. But of course one thing that never changes is that the good guys always win.

This novel will have a lot of kite strings broken and eggs cracked so beware of that. The romance is funny, adorable, and cringe at different times.

Spoiler

MC thinks Rumeng is his wife without them even verbally confirming their feelings for each other. Rumeng silently acknowledges that she's his wife by lowering her head and blushing everytime it's mentioned by somebody. She confirms that MC is interested in her by the way his "dragon" soars everytime they hug XD. They're so touchy, holding hands and hugging, plus the occasional (2 times so far) kisses with MC getting c*ckblocked whenever he's about to pounce on her.

[collapse]

My favorite character as of this chapter is the poor Thunder Tribulation Giant (Sorry Yiling darling, you're adorable but this pitiful giant deserves some love from all the inconveniences MC has caused him lol)

Thanks to the TN for your efforts so far and cheers for the next half of the novel🍻 <<less

This is an amusing cultivation story that I would say is above-average in terms of quality. This is one of those stories where powerful people mistakenly think that the totally powerless MC has godly powers. Normally that kind of thing makes me cringe and I can't stand it, but in this story there seems to be some kind of deus ex machina that is actually guiding and empowering the powerful characters. I assume that that will be explained later.

Basically, if you want a comedic cultivation story about a bumbling MC... more>> with tons of action and magic artifacts, give this a shot. The side characters are constantly fighting powerful enemies (although they usually need to be saved by the MC's incredible artifacts) and occasionally side characters will stumble into the story in an amusing way.

One thing that I do like about this that other stories don't have is the sense of an over-arching plan to protect humanity. These cultivation stories always have all kinds of corruption within, and invaders threatening from outside with the good guys always on the backfoot. This story has that, but then the MC is sort of the author's vehicle to crush the evil and I really enjoy that. It is hard to explain, but normally these stories have some MC with s*upidly powerful plot armor who beats the bad guys, but the sect winds up crushed and all of the powerful cultivation resources are either lost or consumed by the MC. I have gotten pretty sick of reading about those MCs refusing to share anything useful with their allies, so I do enjoy seeing this MC's allies benefitting from all the super-quality stuff that he keeps accidentally giving them. <<less

Pretty much like I'm actually a cultivation bigshot, MC thinks he's mortal but still has some self-respect, currently, it's to the point he thinks Rumeng is the godly cunning immortal but I think the misunderstanding will get resolved, I'm looking forward to it.

Story's decent until you catch up, then you have to sit through several chapters of people with no agency being destroyed before MC does some random thing that saves them. Ahh great, they're saved, but next we have another arc of several chapters of people with no agency being destroyed until MC does some random thing that saves them. Even better when you realize the MC isn't willing to save them most of the time. He's just accidentally doing it. So even he has no agency. I suppose that's not... more>> terribly hard to read if you are binging. By the time you get annoyed by the lack of agency in the story, the MC does something finally and you get some payoff. However, once you've caught up, you just have to sit through several days to weeks of just watching bad crap happen to people while waiting for that one moment of payoff. But again, you know that the next chapter's just going to be back to the same old thing. It's just repetitive now and you're just hoping for something to change, but it won't. <<less

Another misunderstanding novel. However, the MC will start to unravel the mystery created by him acting like himself. This alone makes it a worth while read as we read a 'mortal' MC creating so many misunderstanding, that even he catches onto the BS he creates.

The story follows a transmigrated MC from Earth who mastered the finer arts through a system which left him. Now he has to really on creating his own karma to finally unlock the ability to cultivate.

There are numerous characters, each fleshed out with a nice story... more>> to go along with them. However, these characters suffer from a terminal illness. Blind faith.... No matter what the MC does, almost everyone besides like three people misunderstand him. The sole exceptions are his 'GF' the second girl he saved, and the up and coming antagonist.

Overall, the one thing I'm really looking forward to is the development of the plot. How the world changes due to our MC's minimal interference. Also, how the author is doing a great job in making the antagonist from start to finish. However, the other villain's are kind of lack luster once hands are thrown. They kinda just die from a love tap or some corny poetry.

I kinda like it. It's almost the same as I am actually a cultivation big shot but with only one lover interest which makes me sigh in relief. There's nothing I can say to the translation which was not that bad but not that great because of some errors. This is a great story to read when bored, just to put you on relax, laughter and fulfillment. I couldn't find any morals that I use to think deeply about but all things fine, currently.

My rating is 4.8 which I round... more>> up to 5. Two is for... You know... How I didn't read this first before I read ICBS so I've gotten an idea on how things would flow.

PS. I was Contemplating whether I'd drop the story at first because I thought there was harem. Harem, my god. Having it spoils my mood...a lot which I'm thankful there isn't harem in this one. <<less

I really want to like this story, as it is the type that I like, but the writing is subpar. Possibly also due to the translation quality? As some of it was a little rough. I read to chapter 11, but I gave up. The story started going downhill since the first side character was introduced. There are other stories with similar premises out there that are better than this novel. My favorite example being I am really not the lord or demon

This is solid 5 star.

MC think he himself as a weak mortal caz the system only taught him about painting, cooking, forging, carpentry, fishing, just stuff that's unrelated to cultivation.

But unknown to MC that his actually ridiculously strong, don't get me wrong caz MC still can't cultivate and still working hard to earn 1M blessing points to get the supreme body that's suitable for cultivation.

Nevertheless, MC is still ridiculously strong that he can even fish out an immortal dragon and suppress it with his hand but he doesn't know its... more>> a dragon and thinks its just a big eel.

The most important part about this manhua is the misunderstanding, its just too funny and you might even laugh or smirk when it's happens.

Spoiler

To people who knows MC they think his a peerless immortal that's cultivating using a mortal body and when he is exposed about cultivating stuff it will hurt his dao hurt (which is not true) so people respect MC and pay attention to his every word and thinks MC is giving them instructions on how to saved the world.
