The MC is incredibly dense, but what's even more aggravating is the fact that the love interest is just as, if not more dense. The dude hired someone to keep an eye on him, and when the hired dude tried to tell him, "Hey, that second wife that you're extremely suspicious of is actually your new apprentice knight that you dote on quite a bit! But hey, she's not 'black'!" I really hate the king right now and I'm currently waiting for the one chapter when he realizes what he's done.
