I’m going to be honest

The Novel is beautifully written and translated

The only reason I gave it a lower rating is because I disliked the plot

I honestly felt that big brother should have remained so and that the other relationship had so much more potential than this but I guess I knew what I was getting into when I read the synopsis

If you are up for a psychological novel then pick it up. If for romance then don't you'll be disappointed.

MC transmigrates back to 15 years after her death. She had been so arrogant in her previous life that she decides to be obedient in this life. Her obedience is mentioned too much that it is quite sickening. MC is nothing but a white lotus very fragile. She suffers from low self esteem. ML in her previous life is a reliable older brother but in her current life he wishes to be a man for her. I find this a bit repulsing. Though MC and ML aren't related by blood MC treats ML only like a brother. Moreover the age difference is nearly 15 years. There is heavy psychological stuff in this novel. MC suffers trauma from her previous life. It impacts her decision making skills and even her character changes in her current life. Author introduces a perfect candidate to be the ML but this character isn't even used to it's full. Ending of the novel is superb rushed. The ML doesn't convey his interest in her till like 72 nd chapter. She accepts the ML a bit too fast.

Their romance is too little.. Between lover I mean.. Their interaction before ML confess just like sibling.. It end with the FL come home after she confirm that she like him.. And then... END. No extra bout their life after they got married.. And about the BL couple.. The chapter is too long.. She like to reminiscing about her past.. Like can't she just move on.. And then she can even accept living with men.. When she come to the house she just 15! When I was fifteen I know... more>> how what men and women.. Hahahaha Idk what I'm talking about.. The body was 15 but her soul was 25!!

The ML even say to her that she is a girl and then will be a woman.. They're not blood related at that! So she should know the boundaries.. But she keep saying well they just like siblings, she trusted them.. She never see them as a man.. Just family.. Like What?! Well overall its okay.. 4 stars. Well so-so <<less

How to put it simply.... it’s just....I don’t know how many of you feel the same like me. But I just can’t control my emotions right now... like seriously. Okay I’m going to say it... I really can’t help but WANT TO BEAT THE sh*t OUT THIS MC!!!!!!! Like wtf!!! No hard feelings for the translator though they did their best and I appreciate them. That’s why the one star. It’s totally waste of my energy especially at the end where things rushed out like a bullet train..

It’s unrealistic tbh,... more>> my problem is all lying with the MC and her character. Overall the story refers to that apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Because she resents her mother character yet she’s doing the same job. <<less

This novel is good... I love the different take on rebirth. for me, it's more realistic how they convey the FL's struggle with her rebirth, so refreshing.

I just wish there was an Epiloge or extra chapters to see what happened to the other characters.. espesially the second ML... I'm really curious..

5* all the way..

I recommend this to all the readers who like rebirth and those who are sick of just a straight-up happy ending.

Thank you Translator...

This was a pretty good read. I started reading at around 6 p.m. I'm finally finished at 2:49 a.m, while reading this book I was able to empathize with each character. I laughed with them, I cried with them, got angry with them, and loved every bit of it. However I was severely disappointed with the ending. I wanted more I still want more I'm not saying this book was the greatest that I've ever read but it was the book that you could actually give a five star to... more>> without Really questioning it cuz it was such a smooth read. Even though you could predict the ending you still wanted to read it all because it was so satisfying.. Then it end like one of the scenes in final destination. Kmt <<less

She was strunggling to survive. Turn back time and mend her mistakes. But in the end still lead the same road for her but she did not die. This time is happy ending for her.

Great story. Great translation.

(She must be obidient to survive. For those who don't like "obidient", have you ever heard phrase to catch fly you need sugar)

It was good at first, then when the end got nearer, I really don’t know how to describe it. I felt bad for the second lead. Ugh I do not know what to say or review since I’m not really satisfied with the whole ending.

Xia Rou, our female lead lives together with the Cao family. Her mother had Xia Rou with another man, but domestic violence happened and Cao Xiong, the head of the Cao family helped her out and Xia Rou and her mother moved in to live at the Cao family. Cao Xiong has 4 sons and his wife died early. He likes Xia Rou's mother, but never remarried out of respect for his wife. That made Xia Rou mother suffer in silence. The 4 sons were not against their father remarrying, but he still didn't. In the end, Xia mother died early too, and leaving our female lead with the Cao's. Xia Rou never felt like she belonged in the Cao family, and was very rebellious. Had a lot of conflict with her brother, Cao Yang. When Xia Rou and Cao Yang realized they liked each other, Xia Rou died. Xia Rou gets another chance at life by returning to the time her mother just died. This time around she is very obedient, like a dodder flower. She realized her rebelliousness didn't really help her or others around, and tries to do everything right the secobd time around. She studies hard, obediently listens to Cao Yang and gets together with the man Cao Yang of her previous life approved of, the second male lead Wei Qi. However, Cao Yang realized he is starting to see Xia Rou as more than his little sister, and interferes with her relationship with Wei Qi. Cao Yang confesses to Xia Rou, she gets a big shock and ultimately breaks up with our second male lead. Cao Tag pursues her by kissing, caring and what not, and Xia Rou just lets him, still confused and not knowing where her feeling lie. One day, she decides to give Cao Yang her v**ginity. As a sacrifice of gratitude. Because everything she owns ultimately comes from the Cao family. Cao Yang went too far and regrets, but Xia Rou has already escaped to overseas. Cao Yang persistently calls her and asks how she is doing and what she is doing. Xia Rou does answer the calls, but her wellbeing just worsens. While she is overseas is gets insomnia and a disillusional disorder according to the docter there. She can't seem to see Cao Yang as a perfect, allround above all big brother anymore. Because Cao Yang is also a man in het eyes now. But her heart refuses to acknowledge that, and she separates Cao Yang into two different people, the big brother before rebirth and the man Cao Yang now. Cao Yang frequently calls her while she is undergoing treatment, while Cao An, the fourth Cao brother she is closest to, attends to her. In one of the calls Cao Yang has with Xia Rou, he tells her 'I don't care if you don't like me, I just want you to be healthy and well, and I will always be there for you, whether it is as a man or a big brother.' That seems to free Xia Rou of her worries and she gets better. She then confesses to Cao Yang that she loves him and tells him to wait for her to return. After she is completely better, she returns to the Cao family. Cao Yang hugs Xia Rou and puts on a wedding ring passed down from his mother on Xia Rou's finger. She then greets the other members of the Cao family, announcing with a big smile 'I'm back!'

Real review;

I think the story started beautifully, just like any other rebirth story second time around is greatest. I really liked reading how she made those changes to herself and really discover what is truly important to her. However, towards the ending it gets somewhat disappointing.
Spoiler

Her brother confesses to her while she is still in a happy relationship, gets really possessive with her and pursues her while she is still not clear on what she is supposed to feel, and that ultimately causes her to break up with Wei Qi, who had done nothing wrong. She escapes overseas to sort everything out, but Cao Yang still persistently calls and ask her to report her wellbeing. Xia Rou also gets worse but somehow gets better and tells Cao Yang she loves him.

A different take on how the knowledge of previous life affects the protagonist. Ending was a little abrupt. The male lead is portrayed to be a chauvinist but not in a irritating way. The female lead is kinda submissive but not the completely backbone less type. I would say that the pair was more oriented towards dominant-submissive kind. Though the couple's relationship was presented like that, it didnt involve any abuse. Both the characters loved each other and wanted only the best for each other even if it means losing... more>> him/her. It was an okay novel. <<less

Beautifully written & equally well translated.

The reason I removed 1 star was the ending
Spoiler

The ending was heavily rushed - the acceptance from Cao family, her treatment was shown only in 2 chapters

[collapse]

The relationships, foreshadowing and the existence of a not-so-Mary-Sue-FL were really refreshing. To be honest, the plot moved very smoothly; it did not feel slow at all but brought depth to the characters.

PS - This is my first review, so please don't hate if you don't find this relevant :)

This novel, that I read for only a day brings me jealous, reminiscing relationship with my brothers, joy, laughter and even frustrations. I love how the flow of story from the beginning but when I was reading the chapter when she goes to the university until the end, I found the MC-the FL s*upid. I mean even nowadays children from 12 years above are aware of their surroundings. The author describe her as a white lotus for sure. I understood about her being dense and unaware of the eldest brother's... more>> feelings. The Cao Family treated her well, the brothers, the protectiveness, treating her like a princess, but being naive, dumb are lame for me. I not satisfied with the ending though its abrupt and hanging for me. I want to read the ending of the 3 brothers, but it's still focused on the MC and the romance is rush, there's NO fluffiness and I was Like "aaahh." Seriously? Just like that? My rating deserve the translator and half for the author. Thanks! <<less

In the beginning I had high hopes for this novel. The reincarnation setting was good. MC was not hell bent on revenge of her previous life, she was hell bent on fixing her mistakes instead. The author mixed in some BL and it was a plus for me. However, 2/3 in you can tell the plot is getting rushed, not much detail. Ending was more of a summary than a story. Unsatisfactory. It was like the author was pressed for time to end the novel.

I liked the way the author handled MC's transmigration and the effect it had on the MC. There is not too much conflict in the story other than what was close to the end. I had to take a star off because I thought the ending was abrupt and rushed. It could have been developed further but they cut it off with little resolution for other characters other than MC.

I often read yaoi bcz the josei kinda bored me. Howeves, this story is an eye opener. I'm glad that the ML meet the FL when she was a teenager so it didn't smell like grooming since underage like Usagi Drop. Predictable plot twist but the author present it well so its not boring.

One less star due to the hurried ending and forced happy ending

Just finished reading the story, and to be honest it was a really unsatisfying end, in my opinion. Near the end where she decided whether or not she actually thinks of Cao Yang as her brother or as someone she likes, I felt like the author could’ve definitely talked more about the topic of her emotions and mental health instead of just glossing over it. I also really want to know at which point she started to like the ML. I liked the story overall, but the end just feels... more>> like there’s something missing with it. I’ll continue to check on this story to see if there are further updates after the (completed) chapter. <<less
