I still have to read the last 2-3 chapters in the Side story, but this novel was frustrating to read.

Translation aside (which woke up the grammar nazi in me in every chapter), this novel is hard to read. I had to re-read a lot of paragraphs more than once so that I could understand what was happening.

About the story:

It reminded me of "The Abandoned Empress" and just like in that Weebtoon, I liked how the ML evolved thru the story and I didn't like the FL progress after half of... more>> it passed. Like, I understand that he ignored and hurt you, but, for GOD sake, before judging something or someone, please gather all the facts.... <<less

I just started reading it, as I was curious of the story/plot and how it will go. But as of now, I hate the ML, I want to punch him so badly (but I was kind of looking for a story like this lol). Anyway, I'm still giving it a chance. I salute the translators, it's easy to read and understand.

Posting this right away after I finished reading the novel in a few hours.

I honestly have a bit of mixed feelings about the story. I don't like angst, personally, but somehow I still managed to finish reading this, crying here and there while holding on to the reason that "I want to see the ML & FL have their happy ending."

I'm such a sucker for happy ending stories.

For first time readers, this novel might bring you a lot of frustrations (like what it did to me.) The main couple's path... more>> to happiness was definitely not smooth, given that each has their own misunderstanding of the other.

For the ML's case, this quote perfectly applies to him: "You will never realize how important someone is to you, until you've lost them."

Finally, the team who picked this novel up did a great job with the translation. Kudos to them! :) <<less

after I finished reading this I could give it a 3.5 because while the emotions are well conveyed I feel like the rest is quite messy, the side characters just appear and disappear when they are no longer needed, they only exist for the sake of the story, The villains are foolishly greedy, they are nothing special, they are there to create non-stop drama.

Regarding romance, I wasn't really into it as I thought I would be, it's not bad written but could have been better

I understand why Julia fall in love with Fernan, but he falls in love with her so quickly didn't he? Like why did she do to make you love her, like first you treated her like sh*t and hated her, and now you loved her nowhere?, I'll just assume that he fall in love with her because of "her clear bright blue eyes"

i was also interested in Julila's illness and the holy power how it would turn out, but sadly it was only written to make the story more interesting.

Also the ending feels rushed to me, there were also some things that could have been explained better like Fernan's past and

Julia's mother, was she even alive, she was mentioned several times but that was it

and about them ending up together, well I wasn't mad because I knew they would end up together when I started reading the novel and I didn't fall for the second male lead because I didn't find him charming

I read the raw to the finish and I gotta say this novel is the most heart wrenching, emotional ever. The main characters went through so much that you can’t help but to feel with them. It has the best, the sweetest, satisfying happiest ending you could ever ask for. Don’t be closed minded on the ML and give it a chance because I guarantee you will cry with him at the later chapters.

i literally can't entirely hate any story which I read till the very end... I kinda hold mixed feelings. but I can't love everything I read endlessly except for very few... this ride was not exceptionally very good or was it very bad... an average one...

i feel frustrated at some point of reading it... sometimes I feel things were not clearly explained, there were many things unexplained and questionable. but averagely its a common trop where ML regretted his past deed and realised too late, FL forgave him... more>> at one point of his repentance and a HAE so you can assume many things or use your brain or imagination to satisfy your curiosity...

the character development of ML was good but I'm unsure about fl... Farnan was obsessed with FL and show it childishly... that's quite adorable but the fact that his reason to hate Julia at first was not very convincing... the idea about ML background is quite vauge and FL reason to runaway over and over again without communicating was childishly... like she would runaway whichever opportunity she got.

i feel it could be written better than this if thing place accordingly in the story that can connect us more to the story emotionally..

but it's a good read with little angst... if you want anything hardcore angst its simply not that... its moderate in every perspective... but ML is dashing no wonder northern Dukes are The best... 🥰 <<less

This novel depicts nothing is perfect. And I kinda like it, having partner means you accept and live with their flaws. Working together to solve it and find compromise within it. Yes it was rough start at first but with redemption, all ends well.

Reading this is frustrating, yes, but be patient with the development because it's worth it.

Julia loved Fernan so much that she just swallowed the way he treats her until she had enough.

Fernan is a POS ML at the start. He treat Julia like tr*sh because he hates her family and the Emperor.

... more>> Cedric should resign being a priest because his qualities is not fit for being a priest. He's kind but he's a priest. (Yes, I'm hung up on him being a priest)

This story is so full of misunderstandings because of lack of communication (always the conflict starter). The pain they are feeling are portrayed well in the writing. The way the ML redeemed himself and the way FL didn't just accept the ML so easily is good. You'll get angry at the both of them with how they handle their situation. They just tend to keep things to themselves and not talk about anything.

All in all, this is a good read. <<less
