I read a lot of yandere tyrant stories, so I didn't have particularly high expectations, but I'm really impressed so far.

I love the FL, Euseniel. She's kinda OP with her strength, intelligence, and social standing, but she doesn't feel like a Mary Sue. She has a strong, blunt personality, good for keeping Tess (ML) in line. Sometimes she's a little mean, but it's an understandable character flaw that doesn't make her unlikeable. Tess's backstory, and his reason for being drawn to Euel, are interesting. It explains the instant attraction, but... more>> then falling deeper in love when he got to know her also felt natural. The dichotomy between his childish side and his tyrant side is also interesting to watch. He's just a deeply hurt child, deep down. I think he's more developed and complex than the average ML yandere.

The supporting cast is also strong. While the spotlight is on Euel and Tess, the others have fairly deep characterization. I have a mental image of them when I read, which means they don't feel like props. So far there are few outright villains, just some selfish people with different motivations.

As for the smut tag, so far, there have only been three such scenes. The first two are short and none are important to the plot, plus the translator labels them, so they're easy to skip if needed. (It kinda feels like it was written as 15+ first and then they later published an adult version.) This may be a pro or con depending on the reader. Personally I wish there was a bit more smut, but I appreciate that it isn't gratuitous and doesn't have random side characters getting it on just for the sake of it.

The translation is great. There are a few typos, but they don't reduce readability, and the language overall flows smoothly. Since the first few chapters, they've updated frequently and consistently- it's pretty impressive that they've done 40 chapters just in 2023 so far.

I'm invested in how the story develops from here. There's no tragedy tag but sometimes it feels like it's not heading to a happy ending. I haven't gotten that feeling from other stories so I can't tell if my worries are founded. But I really hope Euel and Tess can be happy. <<less

an actual review:

the story is good, I like the fl, shes very firm with whatever shes doing but shes still a girl so sometimes she let tess off w whatever he was gonna do to her (bcs of her feelings im not misogynistic pls dont misunderstand me). I however dont like the blatant favoritism her parents r doing w fls sister but ig it was natural (youll know) I like the ml, kinda..... idk but hes not as annoying as he was in the earlier chs, but ig he stayed true to his possessiveness (A TAG WHICH I ALSO JUST ADDED HELLO???) n every characters r so far consistent, I like it. they r also like real ppl, not j simple ppl on paper yk?? so yeah give it a go! the story does hook u in but u may lose interest in some parts. kudos to the tl for bringing forth a smooch tl I love u <<less

aahhh this is so refreshing... even though the MC is reincarnated, she is so cool lol.

whenever the ML and her father fight she just looks at sky or the ceiling and stares at it because she doesn't want to get involve in the fight 😂😂 & the ML is so whiny lol... he is still kid but so possessive of the MC

I love this to bits. Even though it's an isekai, it's something else. ML starts out whiny but tries everything to please FL. The relationship between ML and FL's father has sparks. The translator does a stellar job and conveys how the author must have written it.

I honestly like this quite a lot. I like how they’re giving us hints that there’s more to the story and that there’s mysteries the MC and us aren’t aware of and it keeps me on tense and curious. I like the MC seems she cool, funny and has motivation. So it wasn’t mentioned in the chapters but I’m guessing that ... more>>

she wants to go back to her original world because she’s worried about her sickly mom. He mom is mentioned every so often in the chapters and quite affectionately so.

The male lead is errr not much is said in the the story isn’t giving us much info about him but so far, he’s very possessive and getting quite cunning. Overall, it’s a good read. Thank you so much translator-nim for picking this up~ <<less
