Guide To Raising the Sick Villain

Qiao Lan transmigrated into a novel.

She became a cannon-fodder who was rescued by the heroine after being bullied but was jealous of the heroine because of her love for the hero and ultimately ended up miserable.

When she first entered the novel, Qiao Lan met a cannon fodder more pitiful than her. He was bullied, severely autistic, and had crippled legs.

Qiao Lan: …

Thinking of the male partner who had only been able to live for two years, Qiao Lan had a distressed conscience and began to take care of the gloomy boy.

2 years later, they had both become each other’s lift and the boy would stand up again and be able to hold her.

***

She had seen a passage when she was reading a book about Asperger’s Syndrome. The passage had explained that people with Asperger’s Syndrome generally suffered from “love disorder”. Some believe that a small percentage of people with Asperger’s Syndrome have an IQ far exceeding that of ordinary people, but their EQ is much lower than that of ordinary people. In terms of emotions, they are more like children with blank slates.

That’s why Qiao Lan was so sure that Tan Mo would never like her. He would rely on her, take care of her, and protect her, but he would not like her like a man likes a woman because Tan Mo did not understand this type of emotion.

Some say that some people with Asperger’s Syndrome will never understand what love is in their entire lives. Perhaps a number of people will understand, but in some cases, people on the higher scale of AS are too paranoid and sometimes overarchingly possessive. With this came a large amount of trouble that came from being too obsessed with one person. Few people could understand or handle such love, which leads to tragedy.

I love this novel so much even the mtl was great without any annoying misunderstandings. The ML and FL interaction is so satisfying and FL tried to understand ML as he doesn't talk much. Their understanding and love is like a dream moreover, their relationship made me really happy. The crippled ML who has becomes more confident in himself because of the FL and even though he gains more popularity, he is still scared of losing the FL which is quite cute.

The FL is a beauty from being a starving,... more>> suffering from malnutrition girl to a beautiful girl with the help of the ML visiting and feeding her. I just love it when they grew up. Ps ML is a bit Yandere. <<less

I binge read this wonderful novel! It was so well written (I understood everything so well even when I mtled it), the characters are lovable since the very beginning, the angst was present to make the plot even better without exaggerating the drama. I specially applaud the author for his vivid and realistic portraiture of the Asperger Syndrome, I cried many times for Momo's suffering, because I know it's exactly like that in real life (my brother has it). I also love the secondary characters, they were perfect in their... more>> role to keep building our protagonists personalities, and my favourite is Luo Ma (I think that's her name because it wasn't clear in the mtl), at first she was the typical hateful and annoying classmate but it turns out to be the exact opposite! But I was disappointed with the little BL extra that didn't have a HE! <<less

I LOVE this novel so much I stayed up binging it! The relationship between the MC and the ML are so sweet and the ML is adorable plus we can see some subtle possessive tendencies surfacing. The whole time the story kept me engaged and at times I'd just fawn over the cuteness of the ML, I can't wait for these two to grow their relationship more.

I also really appreciate the translator for updating in a short period of time, your amazing! :] Highly Recommend ♡

I don't know about accuracy concerning mental diseases since I never really came into contact with any aside from hearing a few stories on the internet. But leaving that aside, I really liked the underlying moral of the story. Everyone deserves to love and be loved. And to make a relationship work honesty, good communication and a lot of hard work is needed. There are also a few social issues depicted hin the novel, be it extreme patriachy and the resulting neglect/abuse of daughters, su*cide, discrimination against those who are... more>> different or just plain relationship troubles. The story is realistic in that sense.

The main leads are very likeable. The FL is understanding, hard-working, strong amd supportive which is exactly what the ML needed. It was nice to see the development of the ML from a disabled, self-loathing and emotionally isolated youth to a more confident man who knows that he deserves to be loved. <<less

Pretty easy to mtl

Would visit again after fully translated

MC & ML go through a lot of hardship together, its not love at first sight, work things out together throughout years, there are times when they will fight, there are times they will be at the very bottom and feeling wanting to die, but they will never give up on each other, thus creating a bond that can never be break.

The couple here are very different from other novel protagonist, each of them have flaws, not perfect, not OP, both starting... more>> from very bottom to be happily ever after.

Its good, thank you translator for translating this novel. <<less

This novel is very easy to read in MTL thus I completed reading it in a day.

Both the leads are very reasonable people. Its a joy to read about people who love each other and communicate. Of course at first its hard to communicate due to male lead neuro divergence however in the end he become more reasonable than most neuro typical people.

They are both possessive of each other but in a cute way not in a criminal way. There are a lot of sweetness that you will get cavity.... more>> The bitterness only come from other people and not from the leads which I'm thankful for.

If you like excitement and face slappings that only happen in earlier part, so if you feel sweetness is not for you it might be draggy for you on the later part.

Really recommend for dog food lovers. <<less

It's a well-written romance story that touched the issue of mental illness. MTL is not too difficult to read too. I feel some of Qiao Lan's remarks about mental illness really hit a soft spot and both she and Tan Mo are really devoted to each other.

Really good. I also felt satisfied with how the author wrote his mental illness in the relationship. It was realistic (not really though because it’s a book...) and it showed that it’s not just magically cured because of love. They overcame obstacles together and the best part they f*cking COMMUNICATED!

I was reading through MTL.

I like the story so much. It's a cute story, heart warming and I love the character growth. They both have shortcomings and issues that's real enough.

One thing that I didn't like at the start was that the ML illness was being told over and over again. I have enough of it! I knew he has Asperger Syndrome, but the author really wants to highlight that he has disability too much. That trully makes me unable to enjoy it well.

I don't really know about Asperger syndrome... more>> except that it is a kind of autism and I know well how autism usually is. But really, this novel makes it a light illness. Don't take me wrong, I really like the character growth, but I think it can only work if it happens to people who have a slight autism and not people who have Asperger's all their life.

Spoiler

I don't understand that a person that cant walk and can't even feel his leg at all and don't get treatment for a year nad half, can stand and do exercise in just 6 month. Is walking after incident really that easy? Or is the author think too highly about treatment and doctors in America

And I think it ended too soon <<less

I rarely write review, but I can't help but write one for this for no important reason but to just- praise it.

This novel is wholesome. The translation is good but I can't wait for the translation to update so I directly mtled the whole story. Suprisingly, the mtl is the most understandable mtl I've ever read! I love it so very much.

I love the FL. She is strong, wise, clever. Not those self-proclaimed mary sue intelligent FL who does s*upid things, but truly one who is reasonable. Every time when... more>> I thought things are going to go downhill, she does things beyond my expectations and truly does not disappoint me.

I think this novel is one of the novels with the least brain dead moments.

The chapters also only have about 120+ including extras, so it's just nice read in a week for those with busy schedule. <<less

Okay I just finished MTL-ing this book and OMG GUYS YOU SHOULD REALLY READ THIS! It's so fluffy and if you don't mind dog food, you can eat till you're full😅

The premise of using a mental health condition was really unique and probably became one of this novel's best point. Who said people with mental condition don't deserve to love and be loved? They're clearly wrong!!- (is what this novel is trying to say)

So many realistic situations were also included. Tbh, the bullying which caused the ML's low self... more>> esteem and insecurity really broke my heart. I hope more people are educated towards the realities of mental health and help prevent the stigma towards the people with issues with their mental health.

Overall a very good read!! If you guys are apprehensive, just read the first few chapters and judge for yourselves! 💕 <<less

I've never read a novel featuring an ML with Aspergers or any a mental syndrome/disorder/illness (besides depression) and I'm not sure if the information written is correct or accurate but this was a really good read!

the translation is amazing! Got me hooked and really easy to read. I just had to go mtl the rest hahah

The baby steps MC and ML took were slow but necessary. They are the light in each other's darkness, the yin to their yang and so on

idk it's just really nice and wholesome to read... more>> them get together and be together

i want to rate this 10/5 but there's only 5 stars (๑و•̀ㅅ•́) و⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ <<less

This novel is a gem.

A very heartwarming story of the leads overcoming struggles and anxiety whilst trying to stay afloat in this cruel society.

I'm not an expert on mental conditions but as someone who also supports someone who struggles with mental health, I can somewhat relate to the emotions in the novel.

Give it a try. You won't regret it.

One of my all time favorite novels (I especially made an account just to write a review) ! It’s a heartwarming, sweet but still very realistic love story with bittersweet character development of mainly the ML. It’s definitely not one of those typical, often unrealistically sugarcoated, romance novels. The main characters are not flawless and perfect but realistic humans with heartbreaking circumstances.

I have come across very few Chinese novels that talk about disabilities and mental illnesses but among these, this novel is so far my favorite. It has the most... more>> realistic portrayal of disabilities and mental illnesses without much story dragging (i.e. long and repeated separations of the MCs) or unrealistic development (e.g. MC suddenly gets much better) in my opinion.
Though I have limited knowledge about autism and Asperger syndrome, based on my understanding the author managed to portray such a complex disease realistically and quite in depth. Yes the ML «improves » with the help of the FL but he’s does not miraculously behave almost like a « normal » person but learns to adapt to a certain degree....

I love that the author chose the difficult and sensitive topic of autism - writing from an autistic characters pov, the hardship and discrimination they and their loved ones go through in society and especially the controversial topic of how autistic people love and whether they are allowed to (the viewpoint that people with mental illnesses have no right and hope for romantic love is a recurrent issue throughout the story)

I have binge read the whole story in 3 days and I am actually quite sad now that I have finished it... haha I almost wish that it would be one of those never ending novels with thousand of chapters ;) I will definitely re-read it after some time, which I basically almost never do, just because I love it that much :)

If you want a break from the dozens of very similar and typical romance novels and are interested in the topic of autism I definitely recommend you to read this novel! If you have read and like Devil’s Warmth and My Mister Ostrich, I think you will like this one as well.

Btw yes someone is translating it but you can mtl it very well on your phone with google translate as long as you google the Chinese title - if you can’t wait for updates like me ;) <<less

A beautiful story with a beautiful ending. I really admire the way the author wrote the ML, the way he goes through character growth and becomes confident in himself is so heartwarming to watch.

Of course, I adore the MC too, but I really found the ML to be where the novel shined.

I also appreciate how the story never forces its ideas on you. Everything seems to go by naturally. It just flows and as our leads get into certain situations, they learn more and they demonstrate.

All in all, it's a... more>> very warm and comfortable story to read with lots of awww moments. Highly reccomended! <<less

The first half made me sour while the second half I felt how sweet this couple. I really recommend this one.

Also, I don’t think he’s a villain and more likely a second lead.

Such a heartwarming novel. I really loved it.

I admired MC's love and patience for ML. I idolize ML's determination to treat his illness and slowly step out of his past and walk forward towards the warm love MC gave him.

I loved every bits of this novel. It's just that the novel ended quite soon. I wanted to read more of their lives after university and their marriage. I even wanted to know what happened to the Qiao family in the future.

My only complaint is it ended too abruptly. Other than... more>> that I REALLY REALLY recommend it.

Also I really liked one particular side character from this novel, even though their appearance is quite low.

Spoiler

It is Roman (from MTL idk if it is right tho.) She was first introduced as an annoying character who was full of herself but we get to see her good parts too. Like she defended MC when other girls were gossiping behind her back and finally she realised that Ji Su was not how he appears to be, she doesn't held on to that one sided thing and quickly realises Ji Su wanted to create problems between herself and MC. She even tells the MC to Have a good life with ML so that Ji Su could be sad. Haha.

And thanks to the translator-san for translating this and letting us read such an endearing love story. <<less
