Description
Links are NOT allowed. Format your description nicely so people can easily read them. Please use proper spacing and paragraphs. When I was ten, I fell from a tree and hit my head. When I woke up, the world around me had changed. I could see people’s emotions in the form of numbers and colours—pink for love, red for anger, green for awkwardness, blue for sorrow, yellow for desire…
I met Yan Kongshan the summer after college entrance exams on Green Plum Island. Mysterious and handsome, with a tinge of melancholy, he was the ideal man of every woman on the island. And mine.
I wanted him to turn pink for me, but one day, he suddenly turned yellow. Despite that, he seemed ever so nonchalant when facing me.
Love is like lemon soda water. Sour and sweet, filled with energy.
You never know how a person’s heart beats for you, hidden in its cage beneath their flesh.

- The MC chases the ML
- The ML has a disabled kid and everyone treats her so well (props to the author for that!)
- Every character actually feel relatable to an extent
- The plot is well done
- I loved the bit about the MC's synthesia. I found it unique, since I haven't read anything like it
Now, the reason I only gave it a 4/5 stars is because of the following:Also ngl, I kinda expected him to panic more when he suddenly lost his synthesia. As someone who lived all his life with his condition and as someone who heavily depended on it too, wouldn't he suddenly find it strange or dreadful that it's suddenly gone the next day?
- It's kind of a semi-slow burn, semi-fast burn situation. I have no problems with this actually, I just wish it was just a bit more of a slow burn. Just a preference though!
- For a slice of life story, I expected the novel to have some form of drama to make things more interesting. This novel lacks a bit more on this aspect
Anyway, that's it for today folks! I hope new readers will get to enjoy this chicken-soup-for-the-soul novel~
