This novel is so sweet that I'm goona get toothache. 😍 It’s so mushy and even now I'm seeing pink bubble. It’s short, fun, enjoyable and definitely worthy to read it. When I was reading this I was giggling unknowingly.

This is such a modern josei novel. It even started with low-key social media stalking and idolization (pls all of y'all have done that irl). Very solid CEO romance with a girl that is both smart yet confident enough to risk take at certain moments when it's appropriate enough. There's nothing dumb about this novel. It's as sweet as a company romance can be without unnecessary drama.

Despite being short, it felt longer in a good way. Substantial. Enjoyable. Mature in not an x-rated way but in an adult way. I... more>> also really like how well translated this was and how the author allowed this translator directly. Reading this feels like I can support the actual author. Thanks to both.

Spoiler

My only misgiving is that I do not support the author to rewrite this story to make it long UNLESS it's only to give background (like to the MC's family, friends, in college, work etc or the ml's family and friends) while not changing anything that already happened in this book. The interactions here are perfect imo and don't need filler or etc. If anything, just give more story to after they get together in detail.

But I would not read it if they changed any dialogue etc from this one. It would feel weird to me because as a love story it's concise and honestly perfect as it is unless author wants to create drama. And yes the lack of drama is why I like this so yea.

A bit wordy than your average modern CN stories, but that make sense as this story's tone is serious and since after all, it's a short one at that.

The romance development is quite realistic for me, it more or less shows how it feels like in the foot of someone who is unsure if they like or even love the other side. Thankfully too that they didn't dare make the two, particularly the guy fall in love when girl is still HS (that be a different story all together 👀).

It... more>> also shows us a sad side of real life (girl not able to attain her actual dream), and how this sometimes get us to a better place or to what we secretly desire.

Overall, there wasn't really any issues with the story beside the how wordy it is to the point of making one sleep (not at all best when you have to study after... 🙈).

Just in case the story is about:

Spoiler

FL having this crush on the ML (a guest invited to their school as a speaker for a program) since HS, having unable to take the path she originally wanted, she decided to follow his road.

Fast forward to how many years, they finally had a chance to talk to each other and thus, their spring (the rose) is about to bloom. :)

It feels real and refreshing. I like the father’s characterisation, although we don’t have enough of it.

Really nice short story. Thank you so much to the translator for translating it so well!

I actually like the fact that it’s short but I understand the author’s need to rewrite it because there were some plot points that can actually be threshed out more (e.g. Both Tao Ting’s and Xu Linyue’s personal struggles). It can be a nice longer novel (but maybe not longer than 50 chapters).

Nevertheless, this was already a good enough story. It was sweet and progressed and ended quite satisfactorily. A solid 5 stars for me.

Thank you for the author making this story and for the translator translating it very nicely.

It was a good read. Although the story was short but it did not lack in portraying the leads' development in relationship. Another thing that I learned as a reminder to myself was communication with one's partner is very important in one's relationship. Well all in all, I enjoyed this one so I highly recommend this to anyone to try reading it.

I loved it! I'm really not into misunderstanding tropes but this is a short story so it's okay! I like both ML and FL. They're both s*upid and funny!

This story was surprisingly good. There's no excessive drama except a silly misunderstanding between FL and ML which could actually be cleared by a simple communication. It's a bit frustrating to read their interaction before they dated but after that, there's only sweetness and fluffiness.
