Now, the first two chapters are what we all go in for (if you actually read the tags) - the r*pe.

And then somehow author decide to go soft or they find God and it got s*upid and weak. I despise r*pe turn to love trope thoroughly, except in certain situations which usually take around 100chapters to resolve. I prefer the r*pe stay r*pe than r*pe apologia. Love is not equal to humiliation and violence.

The r*pe was certainly disturbing, but I will not hate on this story for the r*pe part as I was fully aware of it before I started reading. It's just that... the author's choice of wording was not exactly pleasant and it was so weird to be reading a bunch of "turtle head entering the palace" kinda phrases :)

The ending seemed a little bit illogical as well. I understand that Stockholm syndrome is playing it's part in this as well, but it is very much of a pity that... more>> the author chose not to insert a part where the MC avenges himself. MC tried to date a bunch of people but got dumped in the end because he couldn't get hard, so he went back to find ML despite his previous fear and (supposedly) hatred, just because he wanted to have his own child? The ML is a rapist and a scumbag. MC threatens to su*cide if the ML continues to r*pe the MC. Only then does the ML stop.

This is not a HE. It’s tragic because the reason the MC comes back to the ML is because his body got “conditioned” to the ML’s abuse. In short, he’s impotent. What a sad story.

Translation: Trust me on this because the others didn't go into that much detail. The language is really good, like the words are very extravagant and heighten the quality over all but it's clear to me that some words are mistranslated because they have no business in the middle of the sentence and honestly it's made some parts quite confusing, especially in s*x scenes, they are littered with these types of confusing sentences (a bit of editing might be needed).

Story: confusing. The author introduced the situation as follow: the bottom... more>> is completed traumatized, scared out of his mind of s*x because for him it is the highest form of pain in existence and out if nowhere the bottom starts saying 'f*ck me' 'like that's etc. The pleasure aspect was abrupt and wasn't introduced well at all especially after describing such a high degree of pain after considering the bottom's underdeveloped opening. In fact, the pain became a turn off because it felt like there was no passion, no juices just crippling pain.

Also they could have explained the s*x positions better and while the story goes into great detail about beta's s*xual organs, it could have been less confusing.

However the setting is amazing. Very interesting for sure. Really wasn't sure about the ending but no spoiler. <<less

Oh, although there are lots of r*pe scenes, they ain't too unbearable. Though we can't deny that the s*x looked bloody painful, the MC was miserable, and the ML s**ked, I just like how ML always called MC so sweetly with his nickname. It left me with a strangely sweet taste; I can almost ignore the r*pe with this.

I'd love more extras, though. 😣 This is too short, and for the fact that chapter 4 is meant to be an extra, and the real ending is actually in chapter 3,... more>> it's kinda left me hanging. In my opinion, this ending is a bit too abrupt. It could have been better if the author lengthen it out a bit and showed more character development instead of suddenly changed both MC and ML's personalities in an extra, which is honestly disappointing. But still, the world setting is so good, and I enjoy reading it. <<less

The alpha r*pes the MC in the name of love. More like obsession. I think I would have accepted them ending up together if the author gave me more than just the MC wanted a child. More development of why he accepted the *sshole. Even though the alpha chilled down some later, it just didn't satisfy my need for some kind of revenge against his actions. Got no big complaints on the story, I know exactly what I'm getting into when I read Lyo's review, but shat man... reading the actual chapters is just fooking painful... it's like decoding a cipher and I'm not sure if it's a literal translation from the raws because the author is trying to... avoid censorship (????? also dubious because this kind of graphicness and plot will straight up get your chapter locked in jjwxc,... more>> but I see that this ain't published in jj so what's the point???) or because the translator thinks that 'turtle head' and 'palace corridor' are hot/good phrases to use for smut translation.

Honestly, everything is just worded so awkwardly and I really think there's a a whole lot of other words to use, it could be way better but with the way it is currently, it really robs me of the pleasure (?) from reading the story, though it still kept me laughing from the pain for 36 seconds. I'm giving this an extra star because I'd love to read more about this world. The world building and ABO setting in the beginning are very good and made me want to read more.

This novel, however, has almost nothing to do with the lore. It's just bad unexciting smut with a ML who has literally no personality. The smut's not even sexy, it's just there, because the MC doesn't enjoy it at all. The ML is just a walking penis, he has no personality beyond being h**ny. He doesn't feel... more>> like a real person at all. You could draw a face on a dildo and it'd have more personality than the ML.

Everyone in the reviews is upset about the r*pe but it has accurate tags so I don't understand why those people read this to begin with. The fact that this novel is a waste of a really cool setting and interesting MC is upsetting.

Except leaving ratings, usually I never leave any reviews when I'm done with reading novels/stories however good or bad they are/were.

But this is happened to be the story that I liked so much, that I decided to leave a review of mine. When I'm saying "liked" by that, I want to highlight what I actually liked about it in details below.

1. The universe of the story. Yes it was not completed universe but it had most logical description compared to other apocalyptic, zombie universes I have read till now in... more>> other works.

Within such short story, it was clear and easy to imagine universe characters were living in and it felt like there left some space for readers to imagine the rest of the world by themselves which I really much liked.

2. Omegaverse subgenre worked very well with Zombie - Apocalyptic genre. I have read other kinda similar stories with almost similar thematic but have never felt connection of based genres as much as in this story. ABO nature was perfectly used to explain characters behaviour. And I could differentiate characters from normal humans, and kinda could relate them to some kind of human like animals that had weaknesses such as instincts, heat, rut and so on. And could close an eye to the r*pe scenes imagining as if one animals tryna to copulate with another under the influence of their nature. Yes, it may sound strange but, we usually never tend to say one animal can r*pe another animal?! At least I have never heard something like that...

3. Characters!!

Yes, they are not perfect especially ML. However, I was expressed by exactly the flaws within their characters that was poking on my face saying "this is wrong behaviour". MC' personality was unique, his honesty about his emotions, especial fear - traumatic experiences caused by ML, left me in anticipation towards him. I could feel how one strong character was so broken inside because of other character's selfish actions. But at the same time was trapped mentally to the point of coming back to that invisable cage he was so desperate to leave. It shows the reality in some points why some people return to their toxic relationships - because of trauma, something switches in their minds that makes them to go against rationality.

The story left a hole within me, that I wanted to fill up with similar universe based story but unfortunately couldn't find the best one. And Im still lingering to read something similar.

At the end, Above 3 factors inspired me to create kinda similar universe but more expended version, with kinda similar characters but with more humanity in their personalities. Maybe someday I will be able to present it to public, but who knows...

In short, this is r*pe romanticised. Stockholm syndrome. Typical power-imbalance. OP ML and shattered MC. Humiliation turned love? The thing about this is that... it's too short for anything to happen. We literally just get four chapters of a toxic... can we even call it romance?

ExR are, once again, doing great at TLing.

MC in the end didn't get away. He exhibited Stockholm Syndrome at its finest. The extra showed him conditioned till the point he can't get together with others. ML showed his manipulative ways by pushing MC to the brink then he showed a gentle hand to reel MC back even if he was wary, his mind had long since been conditioned.

I ]rated it 3 stars because it was EXR who translated it. They always have the finest novels and manga selected for readers. Rating 3 stars for story part but if your reading just for smut...

To sum it up for me: this story made me sad.

I came here for the smut by why the author persist in trying to add plot and emotions then drop the ball to smash the shou in the foot.

Not to spoil but try not to get too attached it will only lower the enjoyment later.

I couldn't finish the last chapter, even though it was the only chapter that had consensual s*x. I feel sad because I couldn't enjoy the smut because of the r*pe. But I started reading this despite the warnings and tags. What I felt very confused and sad about was that the MC It's like some kind of Stockholm syndrome or psychological (and physical) dependence sprouting from trauma. The smut felt good at times and very bad at other times. What I found most interesting was neither the smut nor the r*pe-turned-forced-romance. I found the anatomy of the the characters very interesting. I've seen very few ABO settings explaining anything beyond glands and estrus/heat/marking, but this went a step further to describe the internal structure of all the genders. Although the language was very confusing at times (I'm not sure if it's originally like that or if the translation is done poorly), the amount of details poured into 4 chapters is astounding. Despite the r*pe setting, I would've actually continued if the author had expanded the story further. That's how much potential the world building had. But the final execution of the world build-up has left me quite dissatisfied.

Tl;dr: interesting background setting, not very likeable or relatable characters. Give it a try if you can tolerate r*pe (and very misguided ideas about courtship and romance)

P.S. This is the only novel that I'm unable to rate. So frustrating! 😢

The beginning of of the story (until r*ape come in) was actually extremely entertaining and s**ked me in really quick, the wording, the world building were really promising. If the author decided to write a novel that wasn’t focused on a relationship/ r*ape / s*x, then, I’m sure, it would be a really good story.
