Surprisingly entertaining. This is my second novel with a female lead and I gotta say it was a good pick.

The good stuff:

  • Likeable protagonist, children, some friendly characters.
  • Really hateable enemy. Not your average bad guy but a really hateful and cruel woman that makes you root for the protagonist more, I mean she is not just the classic rich woman that gets offended and throws money to hurt, she really hates our FL since the beginning and has her reasons, although s*upid and unfair, but the relationship between our FL and her enemies is well made in my opinion.
  • Good ending without the need of a prince charming.
The bad stuff:

  • Your usual repetitive writing that gets really annoying sometimes, but well it is really normal in chinese novels so can't complain too much.
  • As usual with these kinds of stories our FL makes money a little too easy for my liking. I mean the product is really good and it should make tons of money, but not that fast and not that easy.
It is pretty short, so I totally recommend it, it is NOT great, not so memorable either, but definitely good enough to enjoy in your free time.

It was fun reading in the beginning but then some scenes were repetitive and then in middle it was kind of boring but I pushed it through and completed the story.

Its cute. The MC is independent, clever, intelligent and worry about money and food alot as she was transmigrated from doomsday.

There is no male lead in this story. It was first story I read were there is no male lead. Haha but I consider her son and oriML as male leads in someway.

I love this novel so far. It is pretty fun to read. I enjoy cool female lead and the face slapping events. The downside is it is kinda unrealistic when everything FL did ended up very successfully.

There is no romance whatsoever, but the kid is extremely cute.

Its an OK read.... Not bad or particularly good. cThe MC wasnt some weakling white lotus enduring abuse for the sake of the plot or boosting the MLs ego which is always a plus from me. But the MC is such an OP Mary Sue I stopped getting wowed and startin rolling my eyes....I mean what was even up with the xianxia vibes? Dragons?REALLY?!!!

The kids are adorable and the they gave me the extra edge to go on reading but how conveniently everything works out for the MC has bored... more>> me to death and she has made the entertainment industry seem so easy (not in the good way) even I with 0 acting talent feel like I can win an Oscar. Maybe it gets better, I don't have it in me to keep going. <<less

I like the flow of the story and the characters. My only problem is that, in the story the main character was OP. that she really has many cheats... and then there are also the chapters that I got confuse from (since she was from the apocalypse, I was expecting some back story, and I really expect on Love interest....😅

Overall, it was really good.

This book was wholesome, fun and had cute moments with the kids.

I liked the FL and how she handled things, had some frustrated moment with her interactions with the fu guy. But it ended well.

The kids were cute and fluffy moment early on great.

Damn this novel was simply amazing. The story got me completely hooked. Honestly speaking, I don't know why there are a lot of bad reviews on this novel, maybe because they were expecting that there will be an ML. But this novel but was definitely one of the best. It was so refreshing because this is the first time that I have read a novel without an ML. The FL was a strong, independent woman so I like her so so much! There are a lot of face slapping in... more>> this novel and interactions with her son. Ofcourse she also have her biological daughter and the original male lead of the story. She was also very lucky in the novel and she have a beauty enhancing ability too (I wish I have her luck and beauty lol). Moreover, the ending was good. She live a very happy life with her children. Kudos to you, Author, for writing this kind of story! I wanted to thank the translator as well.

I dropped this. Language was bad. Plot was bad. I was in it for the fluff but that was so bad that it was just SO bad too.

I have good tolerance for cliche and I tried to like this, but this one just... it's not even that. I can't get through a chapter without gritting my teeth or hissing. Right from the very start the FL exhibited contradicting qualities that threw logic out the window.

This story was really good. Sure there were areas that could be improved upon but overall it was an enjoyable story. I don't understand why it got such low ratings.

I loved the fact that she's independent. She doesn't need a man to accomplish anything. She can raise her son on her own. This rarely happens in Chinese novels like this. So I appreciate the author for writing about a single mother who puts her child and herself first.

My only issue with this, is that Xia An was way to Mary... more>> Sue like. She didn't have to do anything but look pretty and everything would fall at her feet. She didn't work hard for the things she got. But that didn't take away from the story at all. You could really overlook it.

Also, the story ended very abruptly.

After finding her biological daughter and bringing her back home, that was it with the plot. It was over and we had the final two chapters to explain stuff in the future.

This is a fluffy transmigrated OP female entertainment world romance without a ML. An apocalypse era woman transmigrates into the body of a lowly entertainment celebrity. There is a very complex history involving multiple switched births, etc., so that sometimes I got confused. The MC was good, the kids were good, her attitude towards the kids was perfect... more>>

, MC just wants to live a good life, the more junk food she eats the more beautiful she is (nice cheat there), and this was the first translated novel I had read that had no ML (because he wasn't needed), so that's 4 stars.

But half way I got tired of the story and had to struggle to finish. The novel bashes the overseas (US and Europe) market for not casting or hiring actresses/models from China (never mentioning that visible minority actresses/models who live within US and Europe, and also those from other countries, also struggle to get good acting/modelling roles - the focus is only on celebrities from China being unfairly ignored). Then, because the MC is such an amazing person,

she becomes the top actress/model in the overseas market, which proves her worth to the domestic market. So on one hand, the author bashes the overseas market for not casting/hiring people from China, but on the other hand also worships/idolizes the overseas market because it's the holy grail for entertainment success. It just seemed discordant for me. MC is totally OP, with little effort she becomes the top actress, model, businesswoman, etc.

In the latter half of the novel, there is less about the MC's personal relationships, and a lot of social media chatter of netizens gossiping about her negatively, then getting face slapped and gossiping about her positively. I don't like to read social media chatter in real life, much less in novels, but modern novels involving asian celebrities seem to have a lot of social media gossip and ignorant/malicious comments to fill the novel and explain the artist's popularity.

Anyway, the novel is fully and well translated, and is a relaxing fluffy read. I would just suggest skipping most of the netizen echo chamber dialogue and take the overseas market comments with a heavy grain of salt, as this novel may be intended for a domestic audience. <<less

Love every chapter. In fact this is the second time I have read this novel. This time I have covered the part I missed on the first reading. I was crying about the villain's future soul.... There is no romance, but it still worth the read. Very Highly Recommended.

It's a very light read, might fid it a bit flat is u read further into the story. The translation is pretty well done.

In the beginning, personally, I thought the MC is quite brainless and rude. Her character does get better. She comes of as a more friendly and gentle (sometimes).

Although there's talk about childcaring, it leans definitely more towards the MC in the entetainment bizz. It's not that she could careless about the children but first and foremost she cares more about herself. Atleast that's the vibe I get.

Wow! This story has been an excellent read; it’s not overdramatic and has been overall pleasant to read. Nothing overcome or super crazy.

There is no romance, just a female lead, and her life. There is no crazy drama like sending rapists or assassins after each other.

Excellent read, honestly, it's four stars, but I feel bad dragging the rating down. It's a light web novel that's not too much to handle for anyone, no smut no male lead for romance. Nice. It's even good for guys to read.

I really like this story. Yes, it's typical and everything does seem to work out for the MC naturally bc of her pretty face, but she is practical and who doesn't want to live a comfortable and easy life after living in a post-apocalyptic world. But the point I love the most is that she doesn't rely on a male lead. Honestly, it's even refreshing that the author doesn't bother putting one in to pursue her and instead let it just be about her and the kids because the family... more>> is perfect the way it is. If anyone knows other novels like this with strong female leads without male leads, please let me know~ <<less

Thank you so much for your hard work on this story! It really is such a refreshing and awesome story. I love Xia An's character and how our favorite characters got a happy ending, while the villains got what they deserved. It makes me so happy that we have a FL who is set on her goals and is strong, independent, and overall amazing.

I love that there's no ML, and I also really like how Fu Yu and Zhu Baixue's matters were handled. Her adoptive parents reacted kind of too strongly for my liking, just like how netizens jump to conclusions. However, Xia An's solution was perfect. As for Fu Yu, we see that he gets some sort of peace. Hopefully he gets a better next life and receives more love. Of course, my favorite characters would be Xiao Xing and Xia An.

I usually don't like to write reviews, but this one is not only a romantic or just another love story.

It really keeps the tension for the whole novel. I wish there was more.

The Story is very unique and full of new gems.

I wanted cute mother-son family bonding moments, but instead it's basically all MC does this and wows everyone! Amazing virtual reality tv star! Incredible foreign movie star! New realty tv show is an astounding hit! The photography & fashion icon of the generation! Her own company that soars to the skies!

Nothing goes wrong mainly because she's beautiful. Like yes MC's character isn't bad, she's legitimately a lazy cat that just wants to eat and sleep and not work hard, but meat pies just drop out of the skies. She becomes... more>> pretty by eating high-calorie foods and on top of that has some special jade necklace golden fingers. On top of great physical abilities from her time in the zombie apocalypse, she also has an incredible memory. Most of all, she's just too! Incredibly! Beautiful!

There's no ML (no romance tag) which is a nice change. The entire story is just her face-slapping everyone. At its heart it's about a girl that becomes an international celebrity, mainly because she's just too crazy beautiful.

Well, I read 201 chapters, so it's not absolutely terrible, but I didn't particularly have an enjoyable time reading it. It's not bad, but definitely not memorable or great. <<less

A decent read. Different from other Chinese webnovels, this one has no romance at all. Instead, it focuses on the entertainment business, the mother-son relationship, and the face-slapping.

The female lead comes off as a money-grubbing as*hole from the start, but as you read on she changes for the better. She is also typical Mary Sue who is an amazing actress, strong martial artist, rich businesswoman, and becomes more beautiful by eating junk food (no, seriously). Her children are also freakishly overpowered for being 7/8 years old (genius, good at cooking,... more>> hacker, scientist...).

One thing that confuses me is the translator's decision to release the chapters in parts. I understand that this is usually done with other novels to speed up the translations, but in this case Wordrain is releasing 5 or 8 "parts" in one day. I appreciate the translator's speed and efforts, but I can't help but think it would be better if chapters were released in full as the author intended. <<less

An unexpected favorite. Five stars.

This novel follows the journey of our protagonist, Xi An, when she finds her days of trying to survive the zombie apocalypse over and she is instead an 18th-tier entertainment actor with a son.

Xi An has three priorities in this lifetime; achieving a life of comfort, raising her villainous son, and earning lots of money/eating a lot of delicious food.

... more>> That's a gross simplization of the plot but there's a whole lot of hijinks and quirks to be discovered.

Review: If there's anything I enjoy in a novel its having an entertainment component and having a funny protag to follow around. This novel has both of those things and a cute little twist of the genre. I definitely reccomend this for people who like a badass MC who has no interest of being in a romantic relationship (well at least at 104 chapters.)

Anyways as I've mentioned at the start of this review, I definitely recommend you to check this one out. I binged all of these chapters in a day but once again I have issues. Ciao. <<less

I have read the MTL version. There's no romance in this novel. It's full of fluff with her sons, and in the few last chapters with her daughter.
