- Superb pacing, never felt either dragged out or blazing fast,
- Actually good romance, and
- A united cultivation world with the major sects, despite having their differences, still having a bottom line. Unlike most novels, the orthodox sect members are not just evil cultivators reskinned with a healthy heap of hypocrisy to be portrayed as righteous. Mortals live pretty well alongside cultivators for the most part.
I will be eagerly anticipating the author's next works. This was the novel I most anticipated every week over the year I followed it.
It is a fun and light story. There is a range of character types and all the interactions were just fun even if not very complex. No one is perfect and the world is not without obstacles but it is bright and hopeful world. Overall it was a touching and rewarding story that put me in a good mood.
And I loved the final thoughts (explained simply by the final line in the second extra) and how, when you look back, it’s in every part of the story.
